The only reason I go to this con really is to watch the cosplay events or sometimes participate in them or for idol shows. They're phasing out all of it so there's really no point to paying for an expensive weekend pass just to get Naruto's VA autograph. Looks like the last large non-industry con left with community events in NE is going to be Connecticon.
I'll be going this year Fri/Sat, probably gonna be attending the rave Saturday night too even though it's overpriced. I think I'll be recycling an old cosplay of pic related. willing to meet up with any fellow degens as long as you can hang
>>10969528 >what do you guys do at this con? walk around, ogle cosplayers, hop between panels, wander the dealers hall. the arcade is usually pretty decent if you're into that.
AB is not a party con. There are so few parties going on, if you throw a room party people will knock on your door and ask to join because yours will be the only one on the floor/hotel. It was extremely depressing.
Just got back, there were some pretty sexy pastel equine cosplays. Two really good Dr Eggman cosplays who bro'd out together. Your average 300lb Aeris and guys in maid outfits of course but it was overall a fun con. When it finished everyone spilled over to Newbury St and the Anime Zakka store was a party.
Someone at the feedback panel complained about being sexually harassed at the rave by door security. I'm not one to judge based on looks but take it with a grain of salt because they looked like the kind of person who would make something like that up or treat a regular pat down like actual assault. But the rave may not return next year if they get too worried about stuff like that.
Fill out the feedback form it seemed like they really wanted to better gague what people want at this thing and almost no one is really saying anything.
I had a fun time overall but I just now saw that I had won one of the autograph lotteries and didn't get an email they just sent a message on evenly. Why the hell would I be looking at evenly?
>>10969770 Apparently a few people got groped or harassed by security or staff at the rave, not just the nonbinary hambeast. Boston doesn't have nightlife for a reason I guess.
