>>22010629 Yeah my grocery had lolas for like 6 months before they clearanced it. Shit sucked. There is only one brand that actually out performs all others.
>>22010650 >tasty >uses natural vegetable thickeners instead of ((xanthan gum)) >still mogs Melinda (the thieving American whore sauce), winning on merit instead of jewish tricks yeah i'm thinking based
>>22010650 You think Lola's sucks but every single varietal offered by this 'Marie Sharp' involves habanero peppers and fire and heat warnings? lol, okay then. Your palate must be completely blown out.
>>22011025 so? lots of stuff is produced with aspergillis and other molds or bacteria. ever heard of penicillin? sake, mirin, and shochu all use aspergillis in their production, for example. in cheese production, the chemical in rennet that we used to get directly from animal stomachs is now mostly produced from fermentation with e coli or aspergillis. the mold is killed after fermentation and the product doesnt contain any of it. you consume more aspergillis niger just walking around your house breathing normal air. you can see it on produce on grocery shelves all the time. you've probably eaten it before and you're fine.
>>22012009 So you don't make your own and have nothing to contribute to this thread apart from meaningless bitching and moaning. Are you woman? This is a very feminine action
this stuff is really good but pretty expensive and they just recently shrinkflated the bottle which used to be huge at 12.5 ounces and last forever and now its only 8.5 ounces. It's a mild sauce that needs a bit of a heavy hand so 8.5 ounces is not a lot compared to a piquant sauce.
Call me full of shit but this stuff is fucking good. I miss when costco had a 2 for $6.99 deal it's so expensive now. I've tried to find an alternative but Melinda's just tastes weird and everyone else uses artificial truffle flavor. I'm tempted to try to make my own black truffle hot sauce with real truffle.
>>22012302 it is good stuff but I've always found it a little too sweet. I was gifted pickerel once and I found it much better. Brighter, tangy, and not sweet
>>22010629 Been getting into Skyline’s proprietary sauce ever since I first tried it a while ago. Can’t get it in stores locally though so I order from Amazon
>>22012435 You mean the earthy flavor? Truffles just remind me of seared meat or peanuts but with a mushroom kicker. It's really hard to describe actually because nothing else tastes like truffle..
>>22013724 Yeah I was enjoying some of the XXX with pizza the other day and I was loving the flavour of the sauce so much that I ate a teaspoon just by itself. And man it was so delicious but it burned a hole in my duodenum over the next like 4 hours
>>22010629 This is excellent. It really is basically a Reaper pepper mash, seeds and all, and is genuinely hot while also tasting good. Pretty much everything else this brand makes is garbage, including their Scotch Bonnet sauce which is basically liquid salt with no heat at all, but somehow this one sauce knocks it out of the park.
>>22012302 >>22012021 These are both quite tasty, I can't quite spend that much money on a condiment regularly though. >>22012863 What's special about it? I think I've seen it before but just assumed it was a typical Tabasco/Louisiana/Crystal knock-off.
>>22015900 Not in the doses and frequency you'd consoom from hot sauce. The soy sauce would kill you too if you drank the bottle, but a little bit is fine.
>>22016412 It literally does? Sodium chloride is poison at some doses and a safe food additive at others. Your tap water was arsenic and other heavy metals in it, at safe concentrations. Your whole environment is full of contaminants and poisons that nevertheless don't kill you because you're not exposed to harmful concentrations.
Shout out to this stuff. My main grocery quit stocking it, but I found some on the other side of town for ~$4.70 in the foreign section. The main ingredient is bell pepper, so it is quite mild, but there is 'some' bite to it. I just love the flavor though, really brightens up some eggs or boiled greens.
