The biggest mayo consumers are E. European but as a Texan I think of mayo as something very brown coded. They drown their hot dogs in mayo and they drown their pizza in ketchup. I am convinced that if the French were ever forced to interact with a Latin American pastry they would go to war.

mayo like that looks disgusting. I've seen the bacon-wrapped dog method, and then spreading mayo + pepper on the bun... that's good. I'm not going to cake mayo onto a glizzy though.

I think mayo is completely fine in a hot dog, as long as you add other sauces. A hot dog with only mayo might not be eatable...
