Hey guys, RETARD here. I messed up big time. So I like coffee a lot, yeah? Except I only go to cafes to drink it and I can't make it at home. At the same time I got ahead of myself and promised filter coffee for 10 people at this villa we're staying two nights at. I've never even made coffee before. My favorite cafe will lend me an origami dripper or whatever it's called plus an uhhhh kettle? Forgot what else I needed. I'll get some beans and have them grind them for me in advance because I don't have a grindr and then I'll watch a youtube short on how to make it.
Am I going to cook or am I going to get cooked? Any advice? Surely it can't be that hard.

Also I don't think normalfags will drink anything. They like sugary sweet shit or super duper milky garbage lake latte and cappuccino. Filter coffee especially I feel like it will be the hardest for them to like.
>>
>>
>>22015355
I'm just super duper tired. Of course I'd need the correct filters. Maybe I should just get an aeropress. It's retard proof. Wont be able to farm aura points with it though and I think it's a waste of coffee when you can just use a real filter method. Damn. I'm just gonna google and see if there's a filter making workshop event on the weekend or some shit.

I will now reply to your post. As long as they're not coffee snobs, they won't be able to tell or really care. It's hard to fuck up filter coffee. Worst case scenario they'll just load it up with cream and sugar. Some of them will probably do that regardless.
>>
>>
>>
>>22015363
I guess I'll be the autistic no fun at parties guy if I tell them adding cream and sugar will be retarded and they'll ruin that shit. I do think they owe me some respect if I'm buying expensiveass beans and bringing all this gear to make shit for them. They're not coffee snobs and that bothers me, because as soon as I started talmbout coffee and getting filter, because I'm not about to make 20 espressos with a damn flair, this one bitch started inserting herself with her dogwater portable "espresso" machine that uses dogshit capsule coffee. It's going to be so difficult to hide my powerlevel and not shit on her garbage and ruin her mood and fun.
>>22015366
You barely do anything? Just gotta run it 5 times and I'm done.
>>22015372
I'm buying expensive beansies and I don't wanna tarnish them and also end up bragging about the super expensive and rare beans I got, then serving them garbage that's not made properly.

What the fuck happened here lmao holy fucking shit? This looks like an office. Don't tell me bro wanted to impress his coworkers then got spaghetti arms from nerves and fucked his shit up for life. That's minus 10000 aura right there. I feel like I'd do some goofy shit like this. Damn.

Why do these mongs buy coffee machines if they just use instant anyway

Yesterday I ordered freshly roasted coffee in a country I'm visiting (Belarus). Picked it up, it was roasted today. Ove never seen coffee this fresh. And they made me an Ethiopian cappuccino as a gift. It's a good day lads.

I'd like to report on swedish boiled coffee. I assume it is a equivalent of what you americans call cowboy coffee.
It's... surprisingly pleasant despite being not very deep or flavourwise interesting. It's coffee, in a good but not super sense, just regular good coffee flavour in a non-opiniated way. Marries itself extremely well to milk too.

>a shitty nespresso machine with the pods
When I said I'm making filter coffee for everyone at the villa we're going to, this girl forced herself in my endeavor and started flexing her asswater nespresso machine with the pods. I'm not gonna talk shit to her so I don't ruin her fun, but I just know she'll serve literal garbage, yet she'll collect all the aura, because the normies are cattle.

>ESL here. Does round family mean fat fucks or is it an actual term for a specific part of the family?
He meant
>go around family member's house
in text it's proper to mark dropped vowels like that with an apostrophe, so he could have written
>go 'round family member's house
although it sounds better to use a descriptive verb like
>walk around family member's house
>wander around family member's house
>>
>>22016787
>round
short for around
as in "going around to my family members house"
>went around; gone around; going around; goes around
>intransitive verb
>1a: to pass from place to place : go here and there
you can also replace (a)round with to

>moka
>medium roast bitter
Grind slightly less fine, don't tamp, brew more steadily (pre-boil in a kettle) & do the first dribble pull off the heat thing. Add spare boiled eggshells to the top to take the acidity/bitterness down further, pinch iron two's worth.
>>
>>22018828
I’ve been grinding it with a Timemore C5 ESP hand grinder. Started with 0.9 clicks (0.5-1.2 clicks is the espresso/mokapot recommendation according to the grinder) and today I did 1.4 clicks.
I’m not wasting anymore beans today to show you pictures but basically, I’ve been increasing clicks everyday by 0.1.
>and learn to brew better
If there’s anything I think that I’m doing wrong is that I don’t use aeropress filters for it because I don’t have it or that I’ve been manually holding my mokapot above the burner because my stovetop is too big for it
>use better beans
I’ll try french pressing it this morning to see if its a skill issue on my part or the beans

Can anyone recommend some coffee machines which look like pic related? I am looking for some coastal/mid-century looking coffee machines which I don't need a mortgage for. Budget is roughly 1000-2000 give or take. Light colours are preferable

a drip machine makes drip coffee
a pod machine makes pod coffee
a pour over machine makes pour over
an espresso machine makes espresso(some have steam wands some dont)
but back to your question, off the top of my head machines that look similar(at least shape wise)
Arkel Coast
Ascaso Baby T
Ascaso Steel Uno
Rancilio Silvia V6
Gaggia Classic E24
to make it look exactly the same you would have to mod it yourself
which isnt uncommon
especially for the rancilio and gaggia

>Look at the pastepin

>Everything is well over $100
You guys are fucking retarded if you're getting swindled into this shit. If your bog standard burr grinder doesn't get fine enough, then just regrind.
>>
>>
What espresso machines around $700-$800 would you recommend?
I have a Rancilio Silvia and exactly one month after the guarantee period it started fucking gushing out waterfalls instead of espresso, squirting coffee everywhere around it as well and making a mess. Tried replacing the gaskets, the screw, the shower head, tried to grind finer, tried to grind coarser, tried a completely different grinder, different beans, different baskets, still the exact same shit.
I'd really like something that is not a flimsy piece of fucking garbage.
>>
>>22019394
Turning shit into powder isn't hard. Turning shit into useful powder is. If you can only spare $20, get a kingrinder P0. If you can spare $40, get a P2. There's miles of difference in just that small gap.

I still have yet to find a better solution in terms of prep time, expense, taste, and cleanup than freshly ground locally roasted beans, filtered water (but not super well filtered, just ok filtration to leave some minerals), and an aeropress

Been looking through some forsaken boxes of an associate's estate, and found a ceramic Kalita 101 pour-over in excellent condition. Don't know how it compares to other types, but it seems pretty cool. Never owned a pour-over before, and I typically prefer tea, but this looks like it could be fun should I ever get a decent grinder and beans. Hell, I can't beat free anyway.
>Pic rel, the Kalita
Found some porcelain from German 'Arzberg' too. Good size for coffee and tea. Maybe some other decent stuff if I look around some more.

Nespresso people can be total normies or total freaks with no inbetween, I once found a nespresso discord where someone claimed they spend $245/mo on just OFFICIAL nespresso pods, if you take them at their word that's basically 8 pods a day.
>>
>>22019917
They're some of the biggest retardsuckers in the world.
>With prices for Original Line capsules ranging from $0.65 to $0.85 per pod, this translates to a staggering $52 to $76 per pound of coffee!
>The more premium Vertuo lineup is even more expensive, with pods costing between $0.95 and $1.50 each, depending on the size and premium nature. Some of the premium 7g Vertuo capsules can cost $1.25 each, giving a per pound coffee cost of $81!
