>>22015343 Street food is around places with an active city center or nightlife, it’s not just for poors. I wish my little city had street food, it looks gooood. We’ve built up a very cute downtown but i don’t want $70 cafe food i can make at home
>>22015288 Yeah, around the corner from me I have a nice taco truck. More expensive than in the outer boroughs, as people love to remind me, but it's damn good and even better after I've been drinking. They have tongue, too.
>>22015391 And over on the other side of 6th Ave we have Sammy's Halal. Better than most of the sit-down halal joints around here. Gotta get the green sauce.
>>22015288 We have a large food truck scene here. However I hate the way food trucks are now, they all serve a full meal at restaurant prices. I miss back in the day food trucks would sell a small portion niche product that you can enjoy then move on to the next food truck.
>>22015919 Because random woman attentionwhoring. Also dumb coomers keep posting it. It ads nothing to threads and eats up image limits. >>22016231 Wrong. It's spammed(use to be more often) and is just annoying. You ever see the same ad or something on tv or in the paper for so long and you get that instant gut reaction of disgust? It's like that.
>>22015391 still can't believe how affordable some shit can be in the heart of NYC so excited for my trip there i'm gonna have to really restrain myself to not get sick from eating
>>22016317 > It ads nothing to threads and eats up image limits. shut up fag lol literally n oone cares about image limits, i bet 90% of this site didn't even know image limits were a thing
>>22015288 We have a lot of mexican trucks, all different kind of mexicans.... portorican mexicans, portapotty mexicans, dominican mexicans, mexican mexicans, even oriental mexicans.... but they're so established and regulated that it strains the definition of "street food". At this point they're basically just local restaurants with diesel fumes and terrible parking, and they're required to close by 8:00 PM because of the obvious social problems otherwise. It's basically all gentrified, whether it's 4th-generation mexican cartel types, or hipsters who saw Chef and want to show us Le Quirky Take on something vaguely ethnic. The last time I saw honest street food in this area was the Home Depot Hot Dog Truck, and that closed before you were born.
>>22018621 >>22018751 Our taco truck no longer has prices listed on the side and I'm 90% we're paying a gringo tax, especially for the instagram white girl birria.
>>22015794 Did she get famous just doing this crap? Or was she already? I wonder what she's doing now, I'm surprised she doesn't have a YouTube channel, she's obviously an attention seeker but now smart enough to realise how she can capitalise the best way
>>22019128 Kek I bet she would for a couple of hundred. Neve wish, only dooo. An email message on Instagram costs you absolutely nothing, what ever the outcome
>>22015288 >Do you have good street food in your area? Yes. The old Vietnamese women in my neighbourhood sell homemade boxes of banh it tran and banh chung and shit from the sidewalk. It's pretty good stuff. My favourite is banh cam.
