What is it with the daily crusade against bay leaves on this board? You sound like a buttpussy.

People could one day learn to use fresh leaves and move on with their lives

MSG addicts think it's poison.

It's just boring to me. I don't think it's that great compared to even basic herbs like thyme, sage, or oregano. Every time I taste bay leaf, I think:
>"It's okay I guess...but [any other herb ever] would be better".

I've been subtly swapping out my cooking with and without bay leaves and the family has never noticed the difference. I am fully convinced big leaf has pulled the greatest con game of all time.

Allspice is also grand. There is a lime tree that makes for good cooking and I usually throw some chili pepper leaves in a soup or a chili.
>>
I have a bay tree in my garden, so I don't even have to buy it

Maybe you're autistic and can't smell bay leaves.
