the first /ck/anes just opened in my state. what should be my first order there? i dont want to look dumb, and therse always a huge line so i want to be speedy
>>22015400 Nothing. Cane's chicken is overpriced and ultra bland. Literally any other chain is better. Popeyes, Huey Magoo's, Zaxby's, Church's, Dave's, shit even fucking PDQ or Wingstop is better than Raising Cane's >What about KFC If you have a store staffed well they can be pretty good but 9 times out of 10 it's turbo-ghetto and everything is soggy.
>>22015417 Congrats: you're the kind of person that finds black pepper spicy.
Caines is literally engineered to be tasteless so it will go with whatever variety of sauce the person wants to use. That's their entire business strategy.
>>22015400 Box combo, sub the slaw for extra toast. Ask for toast to be BOBS, buttered on both sides. Or if you want 6 fingers the caniack. Don't get the sandwich, it's just three fingers on a burger bun. >>22015410 Canes has a niche product they do way better than any of those places.
>>22015410 get a box combo with an extra sauce cup. ask for half tea half lemonade
>>22015410 basically this, they're like "we underseason the chicken because you're supposed to use sauce" but that's such shit. everything should be seasoned as far as the chicken goes. your chicken, your coating, your sauce. fuck, add some chili oil to your deep fry oil too, may as well
>>22015421 Thats about right. Bland chicken. Dry toast. flavorless cole slaw, but you get about 3 tablespoons of it anyway. And crinkle cut fries (the worst cut ever conceived)
Its not that good and nothing worth taking a special trip for. If you pass one daily its alright for fried chicken, but there are definitely better chicken places out there; Popeyes and wingstop come to mind.
>>22015422 >Caines has a niche product It's not really niche Their model is underseasoned chicken that they cook to be the exact same good level of crispy every time and overwhelming sauces that cater to different groups.
>>22015400 there's like 5 things on the menu just order whatever. i havent been there in a long time but you can order a tender a la cart which used to be a better value than upbuying the bigger box. get an extra sauce because the chicken is fairly flavorless.
>>22015400 Had that for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was underwhelming. Don't understand what all the fuss is about.
Every single time I get to try out some new fast food place that's supposedly amazing, it's always "meh" af. The only exception is Jollibees. That actually blew me away.
>>22015400 >always a huge line I like Cane's more than most fast food (not a high bar) but this shit is not worth going to when there's a line. Just cook at home for cheaper and better food. >>22015410 >>22015418 >admitting to having the same taste of blacks Enjoy your oversalted overfried chicken and make sure to apply your coco butter today.
>>22017820 >fried chicken I said "cook at home" not "cook the same thing at home." If you're that dedicated to consuming fried goyslop that it's the first meal you think of then you should just put the barrel in your mouth and squeeze.
>>22017943 >Fried chicken is not hard to do nobody said it was hard. the issue is the amount of oil you need, which just is not that practical for home cooking.
>>22015400 canes is zoomerslop incarnate. they are opening these things up everywhere now and they are packed to the gills with zoomers. I can't figure out why zoomies are so obsessed with shit tier chicken tenders. even wendy's has better tendies
canes is opening 5 minutes away. it will be the closest chicken place since Joellas closed, Zaxby's is at an inconvenient intersection, KFC closed, and Chick Fil A is temporarily closed while they remodel another restaurant across the street.
>>22018305 Sounds like the exact same situation in my town. We had a Joellas, KFC and Chick Fil A all on the same corner. KFC and Joellas both closed a few years ago. We used to call it chicken corner
