Interspecies is always interracial, like interracial is always interethnic.

No. She's a human of a certain race who has a physical mutation that periodically expresses itself. Imagine if instead of werewolves, there were people whose fingernails would randomly fall out. Or any number of actual physical mutations, like having six fingers. They're clearly physically distinct from the norm, but it obviously wouldn't be considered interracial to have sex with one of them.
But why futa specifically?
