Since HMVs got brought up last thread, I decided to check how my Hismith machine's speed setting relates to RPM, for syncing to videos or music. This is the 3.0/4.0 model, not the Servok.
I measured at settings 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50, and it gave RPM = 2.51*Power + 14.7. At the very low end below 5 it's not linear, and I suspect it's not at the high end either, but above 10 it was linear within less than 1%.
That does at least match Hismith's spec, since they cite a top speed of 267 RPM, and that relation gives 265 at setting 100. The middle point of setting 50 gives 140 RPM, which is the highest I directly tested.
As far as matching music BPM, I don't know what's typical for different genres. But 180 BPM is setting 66, and halving it to 90 BPM would be setting 30, and quartering would be 12.
120 BPM is setting 42, and halving to 60 BPM would be 18.

The big question though would be whether these speeds are affected by resistance when it's actually fucking me. That's harder to measure. I assume that the highest and lowest speeds will be affected if nothing else, but maybe the middle will be consistent.

Different things to try:
1. Try no lactose at all
2. Try insoluble fiber instead of soluble fiber
