This general is for discussing Japanese Mobile Games that don't have their own dedicated general elsewhere. Occasionally some Chinese and Korean games will be discussed too.

Japanese gacha expert has confirmed that D4DJ, World Dai Star and the two old Idolmaster games are the next to go.

I will not be surprised considering they've been low coasting lately (aside from the EGOEGG story), they'll probably end Global servers first before the main like what IDOLY and Assault Lily did. And if it happens, everyone will blame Girls Band Cry for sacrificing DONUTS' two games.
>WDS
Wait, what the fuck happened to them?
>Deresute & Mirishita
Deresute is certain, but Mirishita? Why would Bandai Namco kill off the live service game carrying two brands of iM@S?

Should've thought of an offline version. T7S did their fans a favor.

>IDOLY
JP is still going strong. It's not dying anytime soon.

The fanbases for those two games were concerned that one of them would EoS for the other to survive. I guess having a common enemy in GBC is one way to unite them…

Lapis is still alive or is this old?

Will the GBC game even survive?

Speaking of Lapis, the illustration book has been scanned. That means you can see some of the illustrations that didn't saw the light of day in the game.

Finally got around to try out Sakuna game.
The combat sucks ass. There is only 4 directions, instead of 8 or more seamless directions.
The rice making is reduced to selecting a bunch of options for each season. You can also auto it or give one order for all 4 seasons. You have to wait 6 hours in real time for it to complete, and you can only watch the rice ads once a day to skip that.
As far as I know event is just a map of nodes to click through until you fight some bosses. There is no story.
Main story is at least fully voiced.
Gacha feels awful, since the memory esque thing is really cheap looking stills.
Characters have the usual upgrade options seen in gacha, with the only unique thing being using rice to tranafer paasives between characters.
Making rice also produces a summon, which you can use in combat for some limited times.
I can see why it flops hugely. The initial downloads from server are also not smooth, stucking at random percentage for no reason.
Any questions or corrections?

Once you hit below rank 500 regularly there's a real chance of shutdown, below 800 it's pretty much set in stone and you're just waiting for the announcement.
obviously there's other versions of games, but downward trends are usually not just happening on one platform.
Girls Garden Android version is so new that it's impossible to tell if that version just didn't attract anyone or the game is actually trending downwards.
TL;DR check again in another 3 months

It started as being a fully standalone project with a happy-go-lucky tone because the game director didn't want to just rehash muv luv Alternative again. He literally went on camera before launch and said there won't be a tonal shift down the line. But then even though that worked out great for them they got cold feet or something, so they've had 2 Alternative collabs within 6 months where the OG cast just dimension slips into the game, and the half-anniversary story chapter revealed that things are actually DARK and TWISTED.
So yeah, if the game declines from here on out (I don't know if it will), pic related.

>Are the fans happy with it or not?
No clue honestly, can't be bothered to browse that community on JP twitter for 2 hours and all the comments on articles about it are 50/50
>Wasn't this the game where they said if it fails, that's it for the Muv-Luv IP? Or was that the previous one?
That was probably Dimensions(last one), it's already shut down and they kinda ended up being right. "Anchor", the company that published muv luv shit for the last decade or so declared bankruptcy and is being dissolved. Girls Garden isn't affected by this because it's being run by some random mobage developer their parent company lend the rights to.
