We've been testing and polishing some technical stuff as well as coming up with some cool new shit to implement for Friday.

As you know, the stream will officially start at 8:30pm EST (although it will be live since around 8) and racing will kick off at 9pm.
HOWEVER
At around 8:50 and before we cut into the lobby screen, we will broadcast the randomized draw of the track order of the day.

In order to save time, starting from this edition we will race the drawn track order AS IS.
That means there will be no vote on the order of the playoff tracks, as was the case in the last tourney we hosted.
Take a look at pic related. In this example, that will be the complete track order of the day, including the wild card and playoff races. This way we will know the entire championship route from the start.

if you wanna git gud quickly, this is my recommendation:
1. play the game and complete both campaigns to unlock the characters and tracks. this should take a couple hours.
2. experiment with the characters a bit and pick a combo you like that complements each other well. a popular combo is a Speedy character plus a Technical one.
3. learn the tracks and try to race them quickly without slowing down. there are a lot of shortcuts that are obvious and some that aren't. you'll mostly learn from experience and watching others, and saving replays or checking the wiki can be good, too.
4. lern2breakdrift. it's pretty easy to do and you are encouraged to use a character with high speed/boost and low traction: all you gotta do is hold drift after a speed boost to preserve your speed, and you'll be making those speed boosts last much longer https://gensou-skydrift.fandom.com/wiki/Break_Drift

in any case, we typically do a practice run of all the tracks before the tournament, so stay tuned into the thread later today

So after about 3 hours I finally manage to finish both campaigns. I thought 25 dollars was a little steep for a 1:30 hour game. I'm glad I was curious to check out the story mode again. That made it feel way more worth it. Racing is one of my least played genres but I enjoyed my time thoroughly. I'm also surprised that I ended up liking it way more than I thought I would
