The Miku Expo sound engineer needs to learn a few things. That was waaaaay too loud for the space and the instruments really had no separation. I had to go to the lobby to get earplugs.
I like that the dancing was consistent across 16 years of songs. I've seen videos where some dances were performed by someone who just wasn't channeling Miku. Miku has quick footwork (and a lot of it), quick spins, light little jumps, and she's not shy about full arm extension.
>>50940055 He's drawn a bunch of wholoids doing the reaction guys pose and there's also a big titty Kafu somewhere in the video as a poster. He had originally uploaded the posters from the video on his twitter but they're now gone along with his account.
>>50940808 I'm a complete tourist here myself, was just searching the archives for something and came by that post, thought it'd be funny to post to see if anyone from back then still resides here
>>50940636 I probably arguably like my 'loids more now than I did when I was younger, I'm just a more jaded adult in general though. Like I only really paid attention to songs and producers from project diva when I was a teenager, but now I'm much more varied and like more 'loids than just Miku and friends. The only difference is I'm generally less excited about things, I was stoked to finally get to go to MikuExpo though, but I remember I used to rewatch the announcement trailer for Project Diva X because I was so excited for that game when it was announced...
>>50942190 >I'm just a more jaded adult in general though >The only difference is I'm generally less excited about things yeah... this shit is so ass and all things will only get worse. reset.
>>50939914 I wasn't sure if it was just the DC venue, but yeah, the mixing wasn't great. The bass and drums were overpowering the vocals. Certainly wouldn't recommend anyone go to these without earplugs.
IA arrived, came with a bonus disk & a neat guide on all songs within it plus the producers and lyrics. For a moment I worried she shipped without a serial code despite being factory sealed, but it was on the inside of her box rather than a sheet of paper, which is different from how AH Software and Internet Co do it. It came with a bonus tecnical guidebook too, with a list of phonemes and how they match up with different Hiragana.
>>50940636 I stopped listening to vocaloid music in my mid to late twenties after following it closely since late 2010 in my teens. Then I went to MM in 2023 and now I'm back to exclusively listening to vocaloid whenever I get to sit down and listen to some music (34 now, guess I'm as old as that poster in the pic)
>>50940636 When I was around 18 I would explore a lot of various producers and music but all of that was mostly from diva games, hardsubbing channels like descentsubs and these threads. Then I had a period of around 22-26 where I just got tired with everything and didn't had energy to find anything new and just stuck to some producers I have always liked and that's it. But then around covid and onward I started to checkout new songs and discovering new producers and everything is back on track. All this time I have been listening to Vocaloid and Miku has always been my wife.
>>50940636 I'm not qualified to answer this as I'm not a wizard yet (I'm getting there) unlike other anons who replied, but I can share a bit. Around COVID I lost interest in searching for new songs (unless Youtube aggressively recommended it to me) but I will always keep my playlist close to me that I play when I go on long trips. A few years ago I got some renewed interest because of that one IA track on Astlibra. That song got everything I love about IA right, on top of the nostalgic feel since it's an old song in an old styled game that was just recently released at the time. I don't believe you can grow out of vocaloid. It will always be a part of you and someday you'll return to it. IA has always been my wife since her release and always will be.
Do you think it's fair to say that Cosmic Kaguya movie is the most successfull promotion of vocaloid songs in modern anime? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laOwIwY_dWg
>>50937458 Does someone here knows is there a site to download old music albums? I wanted to have the Heartsnative compilation but all links i had are now defunct
>>50940636 I didn't even get into Vocaloid until I was 29, very nearly 30. I think anyone who says shit like that is projecting their insecurities or trying to rationalize their burnout
>>50944080 use soulseek it is by far the best option, I always confused it with usenet but they are different and soulseek is easier than torrents even.
