IYO defeated Asuka at Backlash in a great match. Asuka is reportedly taking a lot of time off due to personal reasons, but nobody knows for certain what the future holds for the Empress of Tomorrow. Where does IYO go from here? Going after the IC or World title would make sense. What will Kairi do next? Let's hope Kairi goes to a company that will treat her right. Make the call, Rossy. Giulia deserves better. Sareee is carrying on the spirit of Inoki. Meiko is leading Sendai Girls. Xia and Wendy posting is fine; they're just not officially part of the Klub.
>Sareee vs Seri Yamaoka. Marigold, May 16th >Sareee & Takumi Iroha [Spark Rush] vs Chi Chi & Senka Akatsuki. Ito Dojo in Shin-Kiba, May 17th >Sareee & MIRAI vs Rina & Miku Kanae. Yumiko Hotta 41st Anniversary, June 5th
>>20441807 >Goes to the main roster >Vince treats her like a queen >Triple H takes over >Utterly bulldozes her career Its not fair, we were robbed of three more years of kino
>>20441875 It really was. >>20441951 My theory rn is that she rejected a restructuring/paycut and is now riding out her original deal, making just her downside guarantee til the contract runs out. And she won't renew/be re-upped. Will be free from the day her deal ends, no 90 day etc. She is likely done with WWE >>20442082 I wonder was the look Poison Ivy inspired. or some kind of reptile scales design maybe.
>According to Fightful Select, most people inside WWE do not believe Asuka has wrestled her final match. The report stated there was confusion backstage as well, with people in the locker room and around creative unsure whether the emotional Backlash scene was actually supposed to be a goodbye. It was also noted that Asuka remains extremely respected backstage, with one WWE higher-up reportedly describing her as: “Always reliable no matter what was thrown her way.”
>The report additionally revealed that Asuka signed a long-term WWE contract during the summer of 2024, with many WWE deals around that time reportedly lasting around five years.
>Another interesting detail from the report involved frustration backstage over Kairi Sane’s release. Some people were unhappy WWE spent television time building stories involving Asuka and Kairi without fully paying off Kairi’s role in the angle.
>>20442507 >Asuka signed a long-term WWE contract fucking lel this shit is completely meaningless now. Anyone trying to pass contracts time seriously after what happened this year is a complete moron
>>20443311 I mean, she didn't this time so that means there is truth to it. Not that I blame her, 5 years later, beaten to hell, tired and losing patience with a guy who completely botches your booking and even fires a friend nearly at the end of a story just to save a million bucks.
>>20443392 >and even fires a friend nearly at the end of a story just to save a million bucks Be honest /kabuki/, would you fire Kairi for a million bucks?
>>20443392 I doubt it has anything to do with Gaytch. It's just that seeing all her friends getting retired or fired actually shows you there's no security in the company anymore. Her fight with Iyo is as good a closure moment of passing the torch she will get. So might as well retire until there's an actual good spot (or good pay) to come back for a night.
>“Asuka lost to IYO SKY at WWE Backlash and had what appeared to be a send off.
>Since then, there have been conflicting reports, indicating that Asuka is either semi-retired or taking time off for personal reasons. The situation appeared to be a mystery to the locker room, and to a number of people around the creative process, who weren't sure if this was actually a "goodbye."
>One thing that was firm was that everyone that Fightful spoke to does not believe Asuka has had her final match. Another unanimous response was her popularity among locker room and staff, who spoke highly of working with her, and her general performance. One WWE higher up said that Asuka's performance over the last year specifically was "always reliable no matter what was thrown her way" and said WWE was very happy with her.
>Regarding her contract status, Asuka signed a new, long term deal with WWE in the Summer of 2024. We aren't sure how long that deal went, but most deals were for five years at that point.
>Though many in the locker room weren't sure of what the gestures following Asuka's match went, there were some farewells being said both in person and on social media.
>A number of the sources we spoke to also indicated a lot of frustration around Kairi Sane's release, but didn't communicate if Asuka herself had expressed those frustrations. A specific point of frustration emanated from the television time given to Asuka and Kairi without actually paying off Kairi's part in the story.” - Fightful Select
>On Monday morning, Mike Johnson wrote that PWInsider has been told that Asuka is “believed to remain aligned with the company.”
>Johnson also wrote that a story has been making the rounds among some at WWE that Asuka is returning to Japan for an extended period of time due to a family matter that Johnson writes he will not disclose and cannot confirm to be accurate.
>Johnson is also reporting that Asuka is in Knoxville, Tennessee on Monday, which is where WWE Raw is scheduled for. It’s not clear if Asuka will be on tonight’s Raw, however. Neither she nor IYO SKY has been advertised for it ahead of time.
all i hope is that she and her family are ok, and she gets a rest, keep talking with kairi, stream vidya once more, and she gets her hof and proper wm victory, even a legends deal.
>>20442725 >>20442707 >>20442216 NTA but digital black and white is grotesque and disgusting
seriously go google it and autist upon autist has written essay upon essay seething about digital black and white compared to film black and white
>>20446615 I remember her posting on x a year or so ago "just a little longer..."
She said her goal with her latest run was to put people over, and they robbed her of putting Kairi over which was clearly her intention over the last 8 or so months. It's a shame we never got a peak Jap girl match with Iyo, Kiari, Asuka, and Giulia. I'm not ready bros ;_;
>>20447386 I hope it's not something too serious and she just wants to spend time with her old momma before she passes something. Maybe move back home and get her daughter in a good university.
If she comes out and does the whole "my real name is Kanako, and I've been living with (terrible illness) for a while now." Then I'll genuinely start crying
>>20447686 She said she had chronic nephritis (though that may have just been a cover to get pregnant, or good reason to since she had stopped wrestling), and that could lead to needing a transplant.
Hopefully it's nothing major and she returns with that same fire... Someday... Somewhere...
>A recent report from Fightful Select states that Asuka will have an appearance on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw. After that, the wrestler will take some time off. According to sources from the outlet, this break was already planned before the recent wave of layoffs, so it would not be in any way related to that.
>>20447869 And he has 5 surgeries on his left kneeee
>>20447826 She's talked about wanting to be like mutoh and wrestle into old age, but that was before the knee injury and she struggled a lot to be able to wrestle and even walk again. It's a 6month recovery that took her a year.
>>20446876 >She MUST do another job to Charlotte! What a horrible thing to wish on her. She's put that bogged ogre bitch over clean 50 god damn times already. Let this woman go in peace, she's done enough.
All the cocaine and BWC orgies have finally taken their toll on Asuka. She's going to rehab and joining the church to repent for her devious sexual sins.
>>20449123 Nah, Asuka left on her own terms. Even with all the fuck ups from Triple Bitch, she passed the torch to her one disciple she saw grow from her very beginnings.
I love Kairi but if anyone had any right to become Asuka's successor, it was Iyo. Kairi met Asuka in WWE. Iyo met her since she was a child.
>>20449249 Well she's semi retired. She's gonna come back when the story is right (so never) or when there's a big spot for big money (Saudi Mania, Rumbles...)
>>20449427 He briefly said Asuka's future "is currently up in the air" and they will continue to provide uodates, sounds like the tome off for family situation is accurate, she might just turn up on Smackdown or something eventually
>>20450071 My new cope is that they gave Asuka some time off so that her return as a face hits harder. Her retirement storyline will be a 3 way rivalry with Iyo and Kairi
>>20450133 Mommy Asuka literally betrayed her autistic ffriend. If a friend betrayed me I could probably move on but I'd never associate with them again.
>>20450175 the older you are the closer you should be to your retirement. I get womeme now try hard to stay relevant but the old age for retirememnt for women was late 20s
Besides, being realistic, what was Asuka gonna do from now on? She no longer has a tag partner and fighting for the Intercontinental seems like a wasted effort because she isn't beating Becko.
Okay, now that RAW is over, I think we should have a frank talk about the future of this general.
We have no clue how long Asuka is going to be out for. But it sounds like it's going to be awhile. And there's the possibility she might never come back, or if she does come back, it's for a part-time schedule.
Kairi is gone from the company. And with Asuka gone, she's likely never coming back. We'll have no idea what her plans for the future are until at least late July. But there's a good chance she retires to start a family with Batman.
Giulia seems to continue floundering on the main roster with no end in sight for her. She's basically being used to push Kiana James. Who knows how long she'll last in the company, but I have a feeling it isn't much longer...
Meiko is retired. Xia is in TNA. Wendy continues to be in Evolve for some reason.
All this to say I think we should maybe put this general on hiatus for a bit. At least until Asuka returns. I see the Iyo general is now called Iyo and friends. I think we should migrate there for the time being.
>>20450268 i think if the threads start to naturally fall off then merging is fine but if they can be sustained then they should continue to exist separately
Been awhile since I posted in here instead of /Iyo/ or /arrrr/. The last couple of days have made me realize two things:
1. I'm really going to miss Asuka when she hangs it up for good. 2. It doesn't feel right looking at my Iyo and Kairi goodies knowing that she's missing.
I can't stop the first one, but I should absolutely fix the second one. See you in a couple of days.
>>20450268 >I think we should have a frank talk about the future of this general. No we don't. If you wanna leave, close the door on your way out. >I see the Iyo general is now called Iyo and friends. I think we should migrate there for the time being. oh so this is what's about. No I won't join your general Iyofag
I sat through Fightful so you don't have to [Asuka Update] >Asuka recently requested WWE for time off to go attend a private family situation in Japan >They know what it is, and most people in WWE know what it is, but won't disclose the nature of the situation >It was not what WWE had planned for, or had wanted to hear, but they felt they needed to honor the request due to its nature >Asuka was not cut >Asuka was not asked to take a pay cut >Asuka signed a 5 year deal in 2024 >She will be back, but her return depends on how long this situation lasts >WWE higher ups described her as beloved, and an indispensable performer
>>20450268 >I see the Iyo general is now called Iyo and friends. I think we should migrate there for the time being. No. Piss off trying to make this happen. You've been trying to force this for days now This thread stays. >>20450343 +1 from me on this as well
>>20450660 hell yeah brother. This thread has been around for years. It's not ending now. We've gone through dark quiet periods before just fine. Asuka will be back, Kairi will re emerge somewhere at some point. This is not the end of /kabuki/ klub
>>20450268 >I see the Iyo general is now called Iyo and friends. I think we should migrate there for the time being. Writing all that concern troll horseshit and still can't hide your real motivation. Aint nobody moving from here to post in your dead ass, 2 unique posters at max graveyard of a thread. You've posted this a bunch of times since Saturday trying to make it happen. It's not happening.
>>20450816 Great job webmchad, but there's more work to be done. Asuka and Iyo hugging and kissing tonight on RAW And could I request some highlights of her "becoming Asuka" KanaChanTV vid?
>No matter what decision you make, I'll stick with you. Thank you for the best match. I love you. I watched a nostalgic YouTube video after a long time and cried. Always by your side. May your heart be at peace. I sincerely wish for your happiness. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GifKGjft3lU https://x.com/yukarin03041/status/2053503428081647803
>I don't even know how many times I've watched this video. The tears still won't stop. It hurts so much. To say goodbye like that. Don't go, ASUKA. It's heartbreaking. But if it's her decision, I'll support her. https://x.com/yukarin03041/status/2054022656576680300
>>20450857 I always told you to fuck off from this notion because you just wanted to consolidate the threads to tell your faggy discord buddies "lol I made it happen," but this time that isn't the case. Asuka is old and said she's gone indefinitely, will maybe get on a Goldberg like semi retirement schedule. One or two matches a year probably but who knows. Time is ticking for her. Kairi will likely be back in Japan, but will soon be semi retired as well. WWE was her dream job. No way she's appearing regularly for all that low drawing money from them. This thread can still stand but it's going to be like those Tam threads where a couple of posters bump those once or twice a day. Moving to Iyo and friends is going to happen regardless, and it fits. Her history is strong with both of them. Iyo also makes hoggy seethe so that's a bonus. I'll check in and bump but you guys all know this place is about to slowed down considerably and won't be the same. Thread is about to be semi retired until KAIRI shows up again.
>>20452103 Maybe her mom is string willed, independent and stubborn regarding needing anyone's help even though she may need it now if her health is declining.
>As PWInsiderElite.com reported yesterday, the story making the rounds among some in the company that WWE star Asuka was returning to Japan for an extended period to handle a family matter that we will not disclose.
>She remains signed with the company but will be on an extended absence.
>>20452282 This is the first time I've seen Sol where she didn't look like she was dirty. I don't know if it's some weird facial blemish, or if it's makeup, but the shit she has on her face looks like it's cracking, and needs to come off. Looks like she left the barnacle at home.
>>20453343 Iyo & Asuls fight, Kairi gets sick of the abuse and helps Iyo in some way to win the match. Iyo&Kairi hug it out while Asuka stalks away in bitter defeat. >>20452922 I hope she's not getting divorced. Imagine that cougar on the prowl again. No man would be safe.
>>20453383 the post I was replying to asked how the story would have played out if Kairi wasn't released. WWE knew about Asuka's situation before then so they probably adjusted things just to do only Asuka vs IYO at Backlash
>>20453994 I feel like the single line face paint really emphasise her cheeks These women are both mothers but one is pure sex and the other has become a gaunt ghoul
>>20454082 >>20454087 I like seeing these pics, but this guy seems like a total simp. "Watch out WWE!" and getting her to pose for pics. At least Giulia is mostly doing actually effective weight training and not just goofy girl training.
>>20453353 >I hope she's not getting divorced. I kind of hope this is the reason because I'm a doomer and I worry she has some sort of serious health issue that doesn't necessarily have to do with her mobility or cognitive health.
>>20454335 She used to kiss that belt a lot and rub her face all over it with her tongue out. No wonder she doesn't have it displayed with all her other titles.
