OP sees that this overhyped tub is a bust. He was touted for having more charisma and better mic skills than most wrestlers going today. Instead, he's all around ass. He's a generic heel whose matches and promos are boring. He needs to get humiliated, buried, and squashed by LA Knight ASAP, then released. That's his ceiling in this business.

Page has a track record of throwing his toys out the pram when things don't go his way. Evolve, TNA, AEW and soon WWE. Ethan Page is the most loyal and willing worker, only if he is aware that he is going over. He starts to flounder, put in less effort (especially in-ring shape) and fumble when he knows he ain't going to be the guy.
I give it 3 months before he's on Main Event in a heatless tag-team match with Grayson Waller against LWO

Nah he was misused and underutilized and that’s why you don’t run the WWE and Haitch does. Worked by EEEEEEEGOOOOO.

>I thought this guy was good? His delivery stinks! Crowd is comatose
Seven of the top twelve threads in the pro wrestling section of 4chan are based on women, people who never main event the major pay per view shows of their companies.
We have bigger problems in the wrestling industry than a comatose Knoxville, Tennessee crowd not responding to ANYBODY.
Anything I get offended by, and post, and thread, I keep in mind that a thread with overweight Maika on the cover has more traction than any recent wrestling news.

I wish I could see the same energy from these two posts in those NXT ratings threads that always brag about beating AEW.
You never see anyone bad-mouth an NXT wrestler or an NXT call-up in an NXT shit-talk ratings thread, but as soon as an NXT wrestler gets a call-up, WWE's own "fans" go on the attack.
I wish, I wish that same energy was displayed there. I wish you guys who only watch the main roster would stop by those ratings threads and shit on the NXT wrestlers once in a while. I love to see that civil war shit.

>they main event Wrestlemania
Who is this that main events Wrestlemania again?
>or even have their own promotions
What did I say that made you respond with "or even have their own promotions"?
What are you talking about? What are you responding to?
Women barely bring in money. Fuck that, women DON'T bring I money. As you said, men don't bring shit either. No one is. But women, even now, are still doing less than men.
And that includes Stardom. Fuck Bushiroad. Fuck joshis. The entire industry is fucked.
No one watches any of this shit.
What the fuck does "main eventing Wrestlemania" mean anymore? You flatter this industry. You flatter an industry that is somehow still losing what few viewers it has left.
>>
>>20450761
>P-P-P-P-PLEASE DEFEND AEW!!!! I wish you'd speak up for poor Tony when NXT fans point out the objective fact that they pounded our bussies in the ratings! To be AEW is to constantly be under attack! You so-called WWE "fans" don't even blindly suck the dick of your creative and obediently say everything that happens in WWE is the best thing ever like a good little cult member!
AEWxirs deserve the rope

i didnt see this but what do you expect. what was stone colds reaction the first time he cut a promo in the wwf? go watch the reaction scott hall gets when he debuts & interrupts the match on nitro. he gets zero reaction
>>
>>20450782
>I wish you'd get waterboarded with buckets of diarrhea
Don't be so Indian, white man. This ain't reddit, stop gettin' so easily offended.
It's ok to criticize a corporation. I know wrestling fans don't know that, but it's true.
>>
>>
>>
>>20450796
>some insult
I don't like the son of the owner of Fulham and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's so lame to me I won't even say his name. I told wrestling fans seven years ago a guy with that many failures on his resume is in no position to be starting a company, even when the wrestling industry has as low of a standard as it does.
Like I said, you can think for yourself. In the "real" world, you can have multiple bad companies, multiple bad organizations, multiple bad teams, etc.
It scares wrestling fans senseless that they have to think that there's more than one bad team.
>>
>>20450821
Weird post then. You cry about NXT fans celebrating the shows success in the context of the ratings threads which are typically to AEW's detriment. Then you claim any WWE fan who doesn't just blindly applaud at whatever's put in front of them on WWE programming isn't a real "fan."
Both points are fucking stupid. If NXT is winning in the ratings against AEW then they're winning in the ratings. What does that have to do with main roster WWE? More so why should anyone be trying to stop NXT's fans from celebrating that? Also if you can't be critical of something you like, or even more so you think it makes you less of a fan to be so, then you're an extremely fragile little bitch
>>
>>
>>20450790
You want big draws?
They need the kind of show you can't sustain, you just have to burn all your matches in one go and hope for the best
If you want people who watch this crap every week and go to live events that are way to expensive you need to surgically space your matches and get new fans that will stay with you
>>
He's a tag team guy. TNA were right, AEW were right. It's just Julian who thinks he's going to be the next Miz for 20 years because he bought into the '200 NXT fans playing along' shit. 20 years ago he'd be running a fitness instructor gimmick or some shit and would be buried in weeks.

Tony lost a likable talent who'd be a phenomenal brand ambassador/charity appearance guy, but would never draw money for AEW.
WWE gained a guy who'll never draw money for them that they'll also likely never put in the aforementioned role.
Nobody wins. Not even Ethan Page.

i understand the "tony fumbled" is more consolewarring than anything but i always found funny how niggas tried to gas this dude and ricky starks up like if in aew they didn't do shit when they were given time but just weren't that good and got really butthurt about it
i might be extremely wrong but i see pillman jr having a better career in the fed than these two
>>
>>20449301
If you can't get a reaction on your entrance in the entrance merchant fed then you're going to get released. Fucking Jey Uso got a world title for getting his entrance over. That's all they care about. WWE have shown they don't care about dead matches (Jey pushed) and barely care about promo reactions (Knight not)
>>
>>20451744
Everyone likes Kazarian but his ceiling is the less interesting half of a tag team.
>>20451792
Pillman Jr is never leaving NXT
>>
>>20451849
>Everyone likes Kazarian but his ceiling is the less interesting half of a tag team.
That doesn't even make sense given his tag team days were in his veteran years, he was an upper midcard/main event legend in TNA 20 fucking years ago kek
I guess if you only know him from trash media like AEW you might have a bad opinion like that but Kaz is way more based than etahn page has ever been or ever will be even with karate man.
>>
>>20451792
Tony definitely could have done better with both. Ricky definitely had his moments in AEW and was pretty over. AEW actually did pretty well by him. Team Taz was pretty good, won the Owen, tag titles with Big Bill and he probably would have had a title run by now if Punk was still around and influencing Tony. He has the right people behind him in WWE, but he looks like someone Vince would have booked as a hairdresser and looks too short and small to be taken seriously in WWE. Like can you imagine him feuding with any of the top talent as a serious player?
Page was a fumble in the sense Tony lost a guy who can go out and cut a promo and get his ass kicked, but you can't do that in AEW longterm because people will just get bored. In WWE you can make a career out of it

Not sure what they mean in the other feds but in TNA he had a fucking melty because him and jordynne grace and others caught an ego years back and started putting in their twitter bios they were "actors" and just in general acting like their farts didn't stink.
TNA did a segment involving the Karate Man character fighting Ethan Page, basically him fighting himself. Page filmed this whole thing and TNA cut it into something workable and he threw an actual tantrum because they ruined his art and his vision and how could they do this...
...meanwhile it was a kino segment and was the best part of the show and everyone loved it for the most part.
It proved without a shadow of a doubt he was a shoot retard and needed to get over himself.
Seems like he learned a bit of reality in NXT from what I saw in the NXT/TNA stuff so hopefully he got over it.
>>
>>
>>20455396
no problem. It really was weird at the time because he legit cryposted on twatter about it and shit and all I could think was... why are you mad that was one of the best segments of weird kino on impact in forever?
>“I’m going to take a full blown break from social media,” Page wrote in a lengthy post on social media. “I’ll be staying active on my personal Patreon as much as I can & probably in this group too cuz I love the fig life & u guys. Xoxox. But man …. last night sucked. I’m so embarrassed with how IMPACT! lazily edited that segment last night & forced it to be a joke. I felt the thought of the same guys fighting eachother was comedy enough & the more serious we took it the better the reaction would be. But cuz I left the company, they lied to my face & just did what they wanted the whole time. I’m sorry if any of my fans paid for that PPV & felt cheated. I honestly feel the free version I gave away was made with more love, care & attention to detail.

>"Sadly I had no control over the creative or the final product & the editor refused to send it to me before hand …. so I saw it live with you guys & was surrounded by family. All scratching their heads at that high school project level delivery on a PPV. I pray ppl know I didnt edit that hot garbage. I actually begged IMPACT! Not to even have Karate man on tv. I only wanted it for my YouTube channel,” he continued. “But … we don’t write the shows. We just get the scripts & do our best. Idk what else to say. Breaks my heart this company refuses to respect its talent or it’s fan base on a regularly basis. I tried. Oh well! Life goes on. That door is closed. Now let’s focus on what’s next. Hope you’re all well. I love all of you for supporting me & helping promote my projects. Because without you guys, karate man wouldn’t have been anything haha. I’m gonna just focus on the good that came of him for my social media & my personal channels. He’s gone now & May he live on in GOOD videos edited by the person who created him. Not stolen by a greedy company trying to capitalize on someone else’s hard work & creativity. Sorry if this comes off so negative. I know I’m usually a positive light for my fans … but today, I need to just be honest. I was lied to. I was hurt. I was disrespected. And I need a break from it all.”

Wtf? He seems like a cool guy but this is bizzare
>>
>>20455477
Yeah reminder he's complaining about >>20455459 which was a 3 minute match to basically "send off" his character after he had already left.
I just watched it again after posting and I still loved it. So fuckin strange.
Seems like he learned a lot since then I will say though.

>>20455536
I think he does best in the role TNA had him in. Mouthpiece and backup guy in a tag team. He was paired with Josh Alexander and it was a perfect pairing.
He doesn't have to do exclusively tag team stuff but that was truly his peak was having someone else to work off of.

Thanks anon(s) for contributing all of this to the thread. I made a post above about Page being an overhyped tub with no potential. Now I have an even lesser opinion of him. He filmed himself in a dime-a-dozen theater kid Mortal Kombat parody skit, rubber heart prop for a Kano Fatality and all, and then feigned outrage over TNA presenting it as a Mortal Kombat parody skit as though that footage could've ever passed for anything else. He must've read the initial reaction by the two TNA fans on Twitter and began typing out the words "I'm going to take a full blown break from social media" as he was convulsively sobbing. He's a hypersensitive queer. One of the only other things I knew about him was that he lashed out at Ricochet on Twitter because he got sensie over a joke about needing to hit the gym. His dream of one day seizing a spot on the WWE main roster likely buoyed his spirits through his time with TNA, AEW, and NXT. Now that he's reached the big time, and he clearly doesn't have what it takes to swim in this ocean, the public tantrum he's bound to throw as he's drowning and his dream dies should be more entertaining than anything he does on Netflix.

>Back on the indies, he was in essence, low-rent Rock. To the point that he even wore the oversized baggy silk shirts and the black shades during promos. At one stage, he seethed at Ricochet on social media for doing a "Rockochet" joke during a match. During a match between them, Ricochet would do the People's Moonsault on him to piss him off further.
>Worked in EVOLVE for a number of years and was mostly used as enhancement for the actual stars. His only accolade being a 1 day tag-title reign with ACH
>Worked a handful of ROH matches, but again, only booked if he was with Alexander. Otherwise, a passing note
>Spent nearly two years begging Colt to be on his podcast. Once he finally let him on, Page had very little to say about the industry and just wanted to have the bragging right he was featured
>His time in PWG was short lived to three whole matches because they only wanted to book him to work matches with Alexander has Monster Mafia / The North. See a pattern forming here?
>His vlog is a series of uncomfortable conversations as he tries to act human around his peers, often clout chasing whatever trend at the time may get him attention. When UpUpDownDown did streams, suddenly he wanted to stream video-games. When Major Wrestling Figure podcast started collecting, so did he.
>In TNA, he wanted to be more than the mouth piece for Alexander. Seethed over Karate Man as he left, documented in the thread
>Big AEW debut and even featured in the Codyverse. However Brandi said the harsh truth that he can't escape from "We hired you because we wanted to get Alexander" and that was his time done in the company
Another thing Page does and you can track this across every fed he has ever worked with. He just gets fat. WWE is a body company and he ain't got the perk of being in the Performance Centre anymore.
>But he's already fat anon
No, I promise you. He gets bigger. It's a constant cycle with the man

Miz was over before his debut thanks to his reality TV following, and his natural douchieness has been the key to his staying power. Page has no following aside from mentally ill teenage shut-ins who want to believe he's more than he is, and there is nothing natural about him when he's on screen. His floor is replacement Darren Waller. Page will never be as good as The Miz.

I had no clue who Eli Drake from TNA was. But after about two or three instances of the guy grabbing the mic on WWE TV and shouting "LEMME TALK TO YA!," I could tell he was one of the best talkers in business. Undeniable talent doesn't make you wait. You either have it or you don't. What I find so striking about Page is the perceivable gap between his hype and the reality of what he is. He's REALLY fucking bad and it's been a chore trying to give him a chance to win me over.
