This sentence he says at the beginning of the movie has always stuck with me because of how true it rings when trying to summarize professional wrestling and its appeal to me. He goes into a list of reasons afterwards including wrestling's cheesy acting, over the top characters, athleticism and such and concludes that its not at all about fighting but about spectacle. I truly feel that he managed to explain the entirety of the industry and its enrapturing of public attention and pop culture especially at the time of its release right then and there.
