>>20453714 >Yet another Stevie video where I understand just a little bit more clearly why he's so disliked by every wrestling fan, every wrestler, every booker, every promoter, every mark and Snark Stevie is the most "also ran" of the also rans. All these guys like Coach and Bubba who think their opinions on the wrestling business matter because they were soldiers under Vince, and Stevie is somehow worse than all of them
Not watching a Stevie video but why would any main roster talent booked on this show try to make the NXT guya look good? You're risking your job if the guy who gets paid way less than you gets voted more popular than you.
>>20454345 That's the point. Actually makes the match a shoot competition and motivates both of them to try their best. Might not work in practice but i do understand the theory behind it.
>>20454352 The problem is that they aren't voting on the matches, they're voting on the wrestler. If I'm main roster talent, I'm just going to get all my shit in and make the NXT guy look like shit because that's in my best interest
>>20456201 It’s amazing how much smark discourse is just them pretending not to understand things.
We'll do a show that's all about showing off younger wrestlers by letting them have matches with the big stars, and fans will vote on who had the best showing off the night. Sounds like a fun show to anyone who doesn't wake up every day looking for things about WWE to complain about.
I think it has a similar problem to Brawl for All, even if it's real people won't actually believe it. If NXT guy A wins the vote, you'll have people convinced it was worked that way and the votes weren't real, so you'll have all the disadvantages of a shoot - accidentally needing to push an injury prone shitter maybe - but all the disadvantages of a work too, like audience disbelief and lack of buy in.
