maybe around ten years ago when they had rousey and mcgregor at the top and people were starting to pay attention.
they might be more established a regular sport now, but are not as ascendent and exciitng to normies as then.
20 years ago had guys like tim sylvia as heavyweight champion. it got a boost from the ultimate fighter show, but was still a very niche sport.

thats my problem right now with UFC. the guys are literal "whos?"
like do we really need to figure out the diffrence between a dozen goat fuckers named Ahmed or Muhamed or Khadev or some shit. they all have that pube beard and are manlets. fuckers can barely speak english and dont do shit in whatever promos they try to run.

Strickland is definitely not a grappler. Probably one of his best skills is avoiding grappling and getting back to his feet while conserving energy. Really energy conservation is his superpower which is why most of his fights are boring as fuck. He has a strange skill set.

There’s only one Dagi in OP’s picture, really only 3 in the entire UFC at the top of the card these days. I don’t entirely disagree with OP It’s a different era that the TUF era or the Connor/Rhonda era. The business has flattened out and it has its audience, it sells its tickets and it generates alot of gambling revenue. I don’t think star creation is worth the hassle and money when everything can change with one punch. The events sell themselves and I think they’re okay with that.

I've been watching since the Liddell days and I can barely stomach it anymore.
>Every division being terrorized by a muslim grappler that all look and fight exactly like each other
>ads, ads, ads, ads, ads
>Letting guys hold up multiple weight classes
>No one feels like a super elite final boss like Anderson Silva or Jon Jones
>Top guy is Alex Pereria who is pretty much a throwback to the golden era of JUST BLEED
>They're such jews that they turn down the entrance music so low you can barely hear it during walkouts now
>There's way too much of a circle jerky political cult around it all now

>Strickland is definitely not a grappler
He's a wrestler that trains wrestling. He's a grappler. Just never uses it anymore. Watch his earlier UFC fights, he did BGayGay and shit. He won his first UFC fight by submission. Don't talk to me about this shit when I know more. Literally just saw him wrestlefuck Kumshot in the second round this weekend.

All the top guys are boring. I blame Khabib for all these cringe humblemaxxers. When he did it it was fine because he was one of the only few people with that gimmick. Nowadays everyone is just happy to be here.
Even heels nowadays are trash. Sean is just Colby 2.0 with the exact same talking points, his current gimmick is larping as King Chud but you know he won't bring up statistics or name the jew because he's only allowed to be "PG edgy".

>I know more
Of course you do. On planet retard.
If you’ve been watching this long and think Sean Strickland should be classed as a wrestler, a guy who’s attempted less than 10 takedowns in his career. A guy with a .01 Sub avg.Who’s literally known for being a defensive stand up who’s entire schtick is takedown defense, literally avoiding having to wrestle, then you should turn your monitor on for the next fight. It’s okay to be wrong fren, happens to the best of us. You’re just wrong all the fucking time is all.

All the fighters are CAWs or CAFs. Generic, no personality, retarded, insecure and only 'the best' in the most regulated and safe era. It is shoot the workrate era of MMA. Back when it was more dangerous, you had all these nutjobs and characters who could also fight.

The last great UFC feud was Conor Vs Khabib and that was like 2018. Nothing has been worth watching since. Workrate smarks can say there's been plenty of technical fights better since just like 5 star matches in wrestling but none of them are memorable after a week.

The whole purpose of MMA is that they specialize in more than one thing, that's what makes it mixed. No one in UFC today does one thing, I promise you.
