I downloaded and installed a couple of pirated work related programs so that I can use them at my home PC. What are the odds that the devs would find out that I'm using those programs when I only ever run them offline (just in case), or even bother locating me? I would imagine close to 0?

chill dude, the chance of you getting any actual consequence from the devs is close to zero. Seeing as you said you are a noob hacker you probably got those from a website which would also have hundreds of downloads. The devs do not have the time nor energy to sue or report everyone who pirates their app ever.

while yes, OP killed a thread, but he had a genuine question that still related to torrenting. OP here is not as bad as those faggots who only post requests or yet another thread for two vids for some onlyfans thot, when this board has fifteen other porn threads they could just use.

Windows Firewall
create rule
prevent program from connecting to internet
add the executable file for the program.
You can find where the executable file is by rightclicking shortcut to the program (in Start Menu or desktop), Properties - there will be path to the executable there.

If you're offline, they will never find you. No chance.
As others have said, create a firewall rule to block the programs.

No. No one will even bother with someone pirating for their own use. Companies will only make effort if it's someone who is selling pirated software.
