Honestly, I wasn't expecting this cameo. It makes me wonder if it's the same universe (which means these two already get drunk together) or if they're characters who also get drunk together. The self-awareness of the characters' resemblance is also good (the difference being that Aoi is a heartless bitch).
>>4554803 Sometimes it happens with favors between authors, or as I said in my post, both series can take place in the same universe and those two have their own channel where they talk about alcohol and maybe also mountains with alcohol (the funny thing about the same universe is because the other anime about lesbians and alcohol took place in the same universe as Dagashi Kashi).
>>4555022 i'm liking the anime so far despite dropping the manga later on, hopefully it stays that way, but i prefer the side couple despite lack of screentime ibuki is bland, she isn't a particularly nice or likable girl, it seems characters just flock to her for plot reasons, and the dedicated third wheel makes you feel bad about supporting the main couple, what's good about them is really just botan
>>4555051 So far I like Gujou x Botan more as a pairing. Ibuki and Botan kinda feels like... random? I'm not really sold on why either of them likes the other so much, it happened very quickly. Maybe if the final girl is introduced all of the pieces will fall into place.
>>4555051 >>4555052 I kind of feel like I have to separate sober Botan and drunk Botan a bit to make sense of the dynamic. Drunk Botan is shamelessly romantic with any girl she's with, unless the girl is clearly partnered with someone else. Sober Botan will drink with anyone, but her favorite drinking partner is Ibuki. That does mean there's lots more moments of drunk Botan being shamelessly romantic with Ibuki, but it's a result of sober Botan's drinking preferences, not a particularly exclusive romantic interest.
>>4555051 I mostly agree, but sometimes people just have a type and get crushes based on nothing but physical appearance. Sometimes it even leads to happy and healthy relationships It's kind of refreshing to see a romance start from something more shallow and see their relationship grow form there
>>4554807 Well she cannot admit to herself that she is gay. Which is more dangerous, someone like Goujo who is aware of homosexuality and its baggage and so doesn't go anywhere because she is afraid of the commitment. Or Botan who doesn't acknowledge social politics and just does what feels good, which means what feels good could shift in the future?
>>4555532 >which means what feels good could shift in the future? I want to see Botan try acid or cocaine. Cocaine goes great with booze. It was basically invented so you can drink longer.
>>4555559 Japan is not Miami. You can't just buy a bag of coke from your friendly neighbourhood dealer, you must have shady connections, and risk going to jail.
>>4556409 It tries too hard to be quirky and creative. Episode 5 is a good example of arthouse directing without needing to rely on deforming the art or other cheap tricks.
>>4556417 >>rely on deforming the art or other cheap tricks. That's literally Konosuba, but unintentionally, and people forget how awful the animation of that anime really looks. It's a bit off-topic, but the average fan is dumber than people give them credit for.
Wow. She has had years. She met Ibuki before she moved into the dorm. Was the person Ibuki was drinking with here the person who said her hiccups were gross? And so Ibuki changed dorms and cut her hair over it? So many chances for Gujo to be the rebound girl here and she blew it.
The core of being a Yaya is to think that you have all the time in the world to work up to asking her out, isn't it? Was Gujo the RA herself back then?
>>4555051 >she isn't a particularly nice or likable girl It's about their vibes. Botan is a predator, Ibuki is a prey that becomes more and more delicious as she gets flustered. They have an irresistible dynamic between them. Gujou is beautiful but a loser. She can't hunt for shit. I hope chink girl is a power bottom.
>>4556527 The way she went for such an aggressive question when clearly she's losing, it put Ibuki on the spot. Not a good way to shoot your shot. So yeah femcel energy.
>>4556527 She didn't pull the 'rape in the middle of nowhere' card, so yeah. Now her only chance is to play Botan with alcohol and then fuck her while screaming 'indirect tribbing with Ibuki fuck yeah!'. Or trick Botan into letting her 'assist' for a threesome.
>>4556814 This is kind of true. Tarumi normally dressed like a housewife and when she really put effort into it she just made herself look like of office lady ten years above her actual age.
>>4557154 Generations of living on a mountainous, isolated island and having a limited gene pool has caused Taiwanese women to develop huge chests due to natural selection and Chiang Kai-Shek's harem all having massive honkers. The chest situation is generally thought to be the reason why China wants to subjugate Taiwan.

Femcel behavior? Still afraid she is making a misjudgment and this girl isn't really coming on to her, she is just imagining it? And so is afraid to out herself just on the off chance she is mistaken?
I abhor the taste of alcohol in any form, yet this is one of my favorite shows in years. The pain of "the girl I like is perfect for this other girl, but I can't get rid of my feelings for her" is real.
