this is a mobile mmo sure but dont let that set you off listen to this: first of all it has a pc version you can get from steam, works cross play and you can bind your account to both versions on the surface it has pretty visuals and amazing music in a deeper level it has complex character building and high skill ceiling combat you could be a fighter, a farmer, a crafter, a tamer, a ho, a member of the long nose tribe(merchant) or whatever else you desire we on the chans have built a solid little group of high spectrum autists that will welcome you any time so dont be shy and give it a spin be warned though, the chat sucks absolute ass and there will be first time loading screens...
>>738733379 they give free respecs from time to time, if youre below lvl 200 though then a new character is mega fast to get to ~150 again with the help of some guildies or even solo questing with mercs
>>738734689 there are global and international servers everyone can enter plus an additional region server those being english, europe, japanese and so so yea you need vpn but you might be locked out of drops though i heard the cheapest sub can bypass that
>>738734364 because thanks to my "shilling" i got to make some tight acquaintances from the chan and have a lot of fun in a mmo i otherwise would have no guild and probably quit from playing alone, and by posting toram from time to time i get to remind and reach out a few more people that might potentially love the game and stick around
I think i tried it before. Whats the main quest like? I hate mmos that kinda lock the player onto a serious story like they are the chosen one to save the world, dont mind the 50 other players around you. Id rather collect the 50 bear asses.
This game was fun in a nostalgic way. It hearkens back to a time of less forgiving online games that prioritize freedom, agency, and grinding.
This game gives you the freedom to make any kind of character with tons of build options and equipment. If you don't follow a guide you might end up making something truly unique and effective, or irreversibly bricking your character.
Either way, you get to spend hours upon hours killing roomfuls of trash or a boss to try and get the .0001% drop item that completes your build or makes you rich. The game isn't perfect but it's charming in a humble, patient way. Maybe a bit too relaxed for the modern gamer, but there are some cool, chill people in the 4chan guild.
>>738736893 The fact that someone can mention grinding and think its anything other than the most pure form of vapid evil a human could force another human to endure against their will as the selling point genuinely would make me believe you were a demon larping as a human or some other equally retarded shit. I don't know why you hate fun so much, but we are not compatible.
>>738737291 No, that sounds painful, and I've played a LOT of mmos in my life, I want every single hour I ever put into a live service game back, even those two hundred hours I spent on warframe when it first came out makes me wish I could time travel just to beat the fuck out of my past self. I live for videogames, but videogames should never be a job. The grindiest thing I have ever stomached was old school monster hunter ala freedom 1 and 2 while playing dogshit mmo's like tibia. How fucking awful.
>>738730378 I remember playing this in like 2015. I grinded for weeks to drop a crystal looking armor for my wizard character and when I finally got it I quit
>>738736016 you are a straye adventurer that investigate weird crystals and find out they are actually human eater aliens no big world ending god just yet, best you do is beat up a child twice
>>738730378 I want to try this but I always get some bullshit error code about memory not responding because an app on my computer is fucking something up. I literally have like three programs running at a time maximum and don't even run an anti-virus.
>>738730378 Tried playing it - looks really nice, sounds nice too. Unfortunately, i have a certain feeling, that current repeating quests signify a lot of grind, so i just periodically log in, do a quest or two once, enjoy music, views, NPCs and monsters and leave until next time. So far i had seen some fields, construction/mining place, some underground temple, some huge crater with dark crystal boss and really nice sewers with some ghost boss. Reminds me of Ragnarok a bit in a nice way.
>>738737479 >videogames should never be a job You might be surprised to learn about all of the extremely popular games that are just job simulators. There is a novel joy in a meaningless occupation.
>>738737479 >logs in warframe >do the circuit >craft the warframe parts to feed my helminth later >feel satisfied playing for an hour and leave its that simple, if you truly dont like grindy games anon then by all means do stay away from them, dont let your cortisol spike because of a genre you dislike i hate fighter games, say street fighter and all the others so i never touch them, the result? a: my stress levels are low and clean
>>738740876 I mean that's fine and all, I don't think anyone was being super hostile or anything in this thread, just different views and tastes. Probably for the best to just not play these kinds of games, yeah. I still have a friend who constantly insists I play warframe daily although, despite having this exact conversation with them multiple times. Kinda why I asked if they were german.
>>738741217 not blaming you, just trying to make a point about personal time and self respect, a lot of people in the toram guild stop playing for a bit and come back later refreshed, burnout is real and its not a sin neither it is the game being bad
>>738749562 yes you can i made a samurai thats just like that this game is great for fashion OP, imma come back and defeat you in mortal pvp before summer is over
>>738751679 >It's paced better, plays better, and has more engaging boss mechanics. Better combat balance, and far more choice about what to do at any given moment. >It's not perfect, but the level of polish is impressive.
>>738754309 I remember that anon. He means that halberd doesn't inherently have 'break' skills (not unless you grind regis for a 0.XX% drop to make flinch/tumble available). There are workarounds like dagger for flinching, magic for tumble (not 100% tumble chance albeit), or using mercenaries with break skills, but halberd is annoyingly lackluster.
>>738752346 >>738752451 >>738752518 its arcane strike, an assassin tree skill and one of the strongest raw numbers at the cost of spending your entire mana
>>738752782 Surprisingly minimal, you can pay for some convenience benefits and the cosmetic gacha rates are mega jewish but I've been playing for eight months without paying a cent and doing just fine.
>>738756491 >>738756586 oh i never watched the video nor played the game i just looked up toram online and this was one of the first result the title said "worst mmo" so i thought he's talking shit about it
>>738758681 PSO's combat is rough man... if I wanted to play MHFU I'd just play that, the vibes are great but actually navigating the game is pretty hellish
>>738759592 one-handed sword generally dumps everything into DEX until you're capped. secondary stat you can figure out later. someone in the guild might habe better advice though.
>>738758230 nice give it a whirl toram is worth a try, you guys ever wanna join up you can find us at /vm/ >>738759592 the pastebin in our general has many answers to your future questions, can hit us up there lol >>>/vm/2287582
>>738759592 Generally, you want all your points in two damage stats. Sword and shield in particular should go for DEX first, then STR. At level 40 you'll be able to pick a sixth personal stat, but those stats are very niche and you should probably just ignore it on your first build.
>>738759690 >>738759751 >>738759769 >>738760227 Thanks, simple enough but you know how some games can bait you. >>738760405 Even the first boss sasses you if you don't upgrade stats so I don't think its something worth attempting
>>738760405 Your damage will really hurt for it and you'll have to use easy modo to clear story bosses. You can cover the need for other stats with equipment and skills, so damage is the only thing really worth pumping up, outside of aforementioned niche/utility builds.
I've tried getting into this multiple times i just don't know wtf I'm doing so i log in so some quests kill some stuff make some new gear and then leave for months. I do like it overall though it has a really nice charm to it
>>738751679 I actually hate this theater kid faggot because he literally cannot stop being a smug retard even when he doesn't know what he's talking about at all. That being said this video was alright
>>738764153 It's made to run on phones, I play it on my 13-year-old Intel HD 4000 laptop sometimes. The recommended specs are way above what it actually demands.
I used to play this like, 10 years ago. Bricked my character, though. If I log in now I'd have to sit through farming stacks of <things> to get enough money for the most basic build, I reckon.
And like, I don't even car about the story, I think I got stuck at a boss because my build is utter bricked I can't do a thing to it.
>>738756601 Here's a bit of solo sword and board play. The boss design is a bit all over the place, especially in events, but it's pretty fun when they actually let you play the game.
