Pkhex exists and because of that >>738746183 was never rare, ive seen almost everyone who uses a mew for raids use the hacked jap blue one, the GO form is rarer lol and that was research everyone could get.
>>738746096 He was rare in my hometown, nobody had him nor any of the Mythicals, hell, I was one of the few who had Ho-oh and Lugia because not everyone had a Gamecube and those who did play Colosseum couldn't be assed to 100% it.
Since when where Mytical pokemon there own thing and not just legendarys? I remember them being treated like legendarys when i was a kid Also is there a reason why all these "Mythical" pokemon from gen 1 to 5 look like mew a bit? They all share the same basic design features and even a psychic type As a kid i always thought Celebi was somehow related to Mew same with Jirachi like they would evolve into each other or something I dunno why
>>738746619 Movies have stopped releasing because of memevirus + some of the latest ones flopping in sales, and thus the game team had to do away with mythicals. They've been simply replaced with DLCmons now. Easier to get but none of the charm.
>>738746971 >Since when where Mytical pokemon there own thing and not just legendarys? I'm not sure when the term was coined technically, and I'm doubt it's something TPC has ever used themselves, but I thought it was always 'high stat pokemon that you can catch in game' = Legendary and 'pokemon that you can't catch in game' = Mythical. Think event-only mons, usually the ones that got movies.
>>738746619 Pokemon movies died because of declining box office numbers and Covid. Gamefreak have been making them more accessible through normal/permanent means like DLC/save data bonuses/Pokemon Home dex rewards. Victini and Zarude are the only ones that have yet to be made available outside of events.
>>738747513 >>738747352 no wonder the last movies flopped, they were awful, last one I really enjoyed was the 13th (Zoroark) and that was... 15 years ago wtf
>>738746619 you just have to login and receive a gift pokemon at the right time. actually im not even sure if the giftmon expire. maybe a code at worst
>>738747370 In Japanese, legendary and mythical Pokemon were always distinct from each other and referred to as such. Internationally they were just called them legendaries (fans often used the term event legendary) until around Gen V when TPCI started using the term mythical.
>>738746096 >paralyzes you as you switch in >it's fine i resist steel >FLINCHFLINCHFLINCHFLINCHFLINCH >die from 100% >jirachi recovers all prior damage from all of the leftovers recovery it just got AIDS in pokemon form
>>738748229 >Jirachi vs Heatran in DPPt >decide to keep Jirachi in just for the giggles >proceed to flinch the Heatran to death while dealing less than 10% per hit >opponent is livid and leaves the game My most treasured battling memory.
>>738746096 Jirachi was actually pretty easy to get. You could add Jirachi using an Action Replay code very easily, which I did. I would also give all my friends one whenever they wanted. The Deoxys codes online never worked (I imagine someone did get some working eventually by now) because it would fail the legitimacy checks and yield a "bad egg". And I think you couldn't just hack in the event items either, but had to actually get some kind of patch from in-person events for them to work and take you to the island where you could get Deoxys.
I could be wrong on some of this, but I remember trying tons of different Deoxys codes from back in the gen 3 days and none of them ever working.
Jirachi is my favorite Pokemon but my boy was never rare.
>>738746269 You didn't even need PKHex, just a copy of Ruby/Sapphire you could start over and over to farm Jirachis with the Colosseum Demo Disc. I was the Jirachi dealer in my school.
>>738750942 you Donald Ducked him Since youve shown him in pants but no other clothing pices it os now weird to see him in his natural state since thaz would imply nudity and is unatual
>>738748097 Kyurem's movie was beyond based, just a cool dude wanting to train his knights by teaching them a harsh lesson. No forced plot or trying to stop the evil guy from conquering the world.
>>738746096 Jirachi is so cute, I wish it and the other mythicals got more merch. Pokemon company is missing out by just pumping out a million Pikachus every year
I had a dream about Jirachi when I was something like 6-8 years old that has stuck with me for my entire life. I can give more details if anyone ITT is interested.
>>738761652 I'm going to say yellow flag Not super popular but popular enough for plausible deniability, you need the context of a full team to really be able to tell who you're dealing with
>>738746619 Mythicals were always fucking garbage. I think no aspect of the games would ever suffer if they were removed. Even Mew was kind of bad but at least it directly played into the mythos of Mewtwo
>>738767090 Yeah? They sold Action Replays at every single GameStop or equivalent store. And back in gen 3, tons of people were still playing pokemon coming off the gen 1-2 wave so it was pretty easy to find someone who had one if you didn't. Literally easier than getting stuff off the GTS ever was.
>>738769597 >implying 10 year olds knew how to do ACE as well as pull it off consistently in 2002 >vs just preordering the game you were going to get anyways to have infinity at ease
>>738746971 Mythicals and Legendaries were always different groups since the beginning in Japan, America used to group them together for a long time, I think starting from Gen 5 they adopted Japanese terminology and separated them
>>738746096 >useless signature move >common ability >gimmick entirely reliant on RNG >not broken at all but banned anyway due to being mythical or whatever Jirachi has had a hard life
>>738763481 I'd say it's a green flag. People know it from two things, the relatively decent 00's movie and for being a competitive staple. For Jirachi to even be on a girl's radar as their favourite Mon means they have to be at least a little based.
