I'm playing so slowly I just unlocked the throbbing domain a couple of days ago and just finished the quest to pick his heart too, but I don't mind because I really like the game
>>738749718 oh nvm i actually read the post do I really have to sit though so many episodes of this dumb unfunny show just to have info on playable steven?
>>738747934 >You didn't cheat... right? I'm using x99 reroll cheat and it's not cheating. I'm done stressing and resetting by shuffling around reroll items
Just breed a cat with the psych passive that skips like of vision restrictions, what's a good class for that? Is it really only mage and psych that benefit from it? Does it affect thieves?
>>738755491 Thief has venom barrage, which goes crazy against 2x2 and 3x3 enemies when you can "see" all of the tiles that comprise them. It's usually better to get venom barrage onto a psychic rather than getting omniscient onto a thief. It could work though.
kind of pisses me off that mega blast doesn't hit big enemies multiple times even though its damage is tile based. it's not like it would make mage OP to be able to do 60 damage to a big enemy for the cost of 13 mana. you can accomplish that type of damage on other classes for nothing but a kiss on the cheek
>>738758046 the real issue with mega blast is that it's fucking magic damage and therefore cannot be affected by like 90% of the buffs/debuffs in the game, it will basically only ever do 15 damage. it's pretty damn cool when you just start the game and your best attacks do like 4 damage but when you get regular fighters that can do 12-18 damage a punch from the outset it completely falls off as worth anything what really needs a rework is magic damage as a whole, i can't think of any good reason why it only ever does basically set damage and isn't affected by stats when range/physical is
>>738758396 I guess the logic is that ANY cat would do the same kind of damage so you can take cats with low str and dex or items that affect both and still have them do damage, but it really needs a way to boost itself that doesn't require just finding the right items, it's similar to the tinkerer needing tech, you shouldn't base a class around something you're not guaranteed to raise up significantly. The buffs are a good start but still needs more to not just want you to run a hunter with spreadshot instead
>>738758396 I think that it would have a respectable niche if the only thing they changed was allowing it to multihit. It wouldn't be amazing, but since the upgraded version's cone can contain a 3x3 enemy, you could get a solid 135 damage per cast on the handful of 3x3 enemies in the game
>>738759015 >>738758046 i just ran a mage with mega blast on a hard act 2 run, he happened to have peace face paint and 13 int so i could cast it as i pleased, wherever. you'd think that would have made him pretty good but i also had my fighter with demonic necklace who was able to do 40, 50, 100+ damage a hit with face punch who killed hard Soach in 3 hits, mage's only real contribution that whole run was wiping out steven in one turn. it just made me think that even with a good mage setup with one of his more powerful spells it was completely fucking worthless next to a class that actually benefits from the most basic of buffs
>>738759310 Its kind of a design issue that magic doesnt really scale at all while ypu have spells like split shot that game full buffs AND hit large enemies mulitple times. I never fuller understood why he would male the much more expensive spells so weak
>>738759565 it's not just that, it's an even bigger design issue that if you want more magic damage then these two are just about your ONLY options, and not only is that it but they are rare as SHIT in the game, so mage in harder runs essentially only does the equivalent of chip damage with every move it's no wonder that mage is one of the most complained about classes, i think there are more way to gain research than there are ways to inflict magic weakness
Charisma is really underwhelming as a stat and it really feels like it needs a bit of an upgrade. Max mana and more starting mana is fine, but as long as you have enough charisma to take full advantage of your intelligence, it really feels like it's always a downgrade to intelligence and you'd always want to have more intelligence instead of more charisma. I'd personally give it the ability to multiply the intelligence mana regen gain
>>738761393 true, but if a stat's only purpose is to be a bitch slave so another, better stat can actually be used to its fullest, then it's not a very good stat
>>738761243 I had an insane run with Phony where my cat couldn't even utilize his intelligence stat, but he had borrow mana and crazy high charisma and the tinkerer of the team had living battery, so he'd just start his first turn by going to stand next to the tinkerer and casting all 60 mana's worth of spells and then stealing the 60 mana and repeating the process
>monk >hunter >jester >druid >hard mode act 3 run >keep thinking this team feels like dogshit and takes too long to kill stuff >cats get downed here and there, nothing too crippling > clear Stacy, Bunga and Dreadnoughtus in 2 turns >still feel really unconfortable, but I've come this far and Im clearly doing really well >God's first phase has depressing >God's second phase wont let monk stack debuffs on him >The shield throw gets my hunter between the eyes >third phase aoe swats the team and gibs everyone >blow through all of my resets, this team simply cannot win because their damage output is too low >lost a become entropy syringe this way >get uber mad >pull up a tank and go solo >smashes through god, skips phase 3 and destroys the child, all in 2 turns Also the game never tells you this but if your cat is downed, goofball gets disabled for the rest of the fight This is also when I realized Im at that point where solos are easier than full team runs
>>738748679 I've gotten into an accident that has left me with three broken limbs. So I will have all the time in the world to watch whatever the fuck these things are. Talk about funny timing...
>One random Saturday in 1993, I was watching SNL (this is when it was good, I swear), and shortly after it ended the screen went black and weird white text appeared warning the viewer that the following show was not endorsed by this station. Then 2 guys appeared with fishing poles, discussing fishing techniques that made little to no sense. The banter seemed improvised but the punchlines hit perfectly. By the end of the show, I felt like I had wasted 30 minutes, but the show haunted me. It was a low/no budget fishing show making fun of low/no budget fishing shows, taking advantage of the fact that I was up at 1 a.m. on a weekend with no way to fast forward or rewind. I was totally in awe, the next week I watched it again, and again and again...
>I can't express how much this show affected me. It was equal parts smart, stupid, funny and dull. It was the butt of the joke and often times so were you. It was a totally independently made TV series by 2 guys that somehow made its way to mainstream TV yet looked like a cable access show. It was mind blowing and it felt like it was airing just for me.
>That show was called Fishmasters, it aired all over the west coast, Texas and as far as Florida from 1993 to 2001.
>A few years back, I reached out to Carl, the creator of the show, and told him it would be a huge honor if he could meow for Mewgenics.. he came down and recorded at my home office and it was just the most nostalgic and surreal experience. Here was my hero meowing like a cat in ways that had me in pain from laughing so much.
>A week later i contacted carl again, this time asking if he would be willing to reprise his side character role "Jimmy "the hammer" valentine" for the game, as a man on the street bit to be used on WMEW. within a day carl sent me 10 bits, totally improvised and totally insane.. he hit the nail on the head and it was like he just picked up where he left off 30 years ago. i commissioned a few more and then commissioned a few DJ Bill bits as well since he kept referencing "DJ Bill" in his segments—and the rest is history! Jimmy Valentine, REBORN!
>during Mewgenics dev i promised myself that my next project would be something not at all game related... and it wasn't!
>Over the last month I've edited, cleaned up and archived every episode of Fishmasters for your/my viewing pleasure!
>Nearly 100 episodes!!!!!
>now i know what you are saying, "we dont care!", but if you loved any of the Jimmy bits, you will love this series and at the very least its an endless trove of 90s nostalgia!
>But as I've mentioned above, Fishmasters could be intentionally horrible, a gag that was funny in retrospect but horrible if it was your first time viewing it... so here are my top 10 Fishmasters episodes ( in chronological order)
>..... pppssst ....
>Now that we are alone, i can give you some secret Mewgenics details...
>Tyler and i are working on something special.. just for you guys!
>lets just say if you watch all the Fishmasters episodes you might get some exclusive info early.. if you know what i mean.
The fuck. I fought Zaphauser for the first time and he was a total pushover. Is he supposed to stun you? That's the only way that fight would've been hard.
>>738766849 he can be really incredibly annoying if your build is based on chip damage, familiars, or status effects, but if you just have a "hit the guy really hard" team then he's not a big deal at all
>>738766849 Oh wait till you face him at higher difficulties, you'll be singing a different tune dealing with him after he gets shielded, absorbent and resonant
>>738766849 Very build dependent. Dudes that hit once but hit hard have a much easier time than dudes that do many smaller hits. I'd personally recommend never going to the future with any sparkles for risk of having Zap keep going back into the ceiling because a 1 hp projectile hit him because he hit you
>>738768673 >3000h in Isaac >45 results found If youre trying to become a new threadschizo or something, I suggest you start namefagging or using a trip
>>738769087 There was an anon who claimed it's ok to play Isaac on Normal and kiss your niece on the mouth despite him knowing kids' teeth can't handle adult mouth bacteria
>>738769372 oh, is that the game we're playing, the "who's the biggest autist" challenge? gonna piss and moan that i don't have your golden extra 2k hours, haven't wasted enough time? faggot-ass request, fuck you
>>738769372 I'd rather post clears and cheevos instead. Hopefully that shouldnt be a problem for an easy mode idler that got filtered by Spewer, right?
I have the first 2 acts almost done on impossible but I'm afraid to touch act 3 even on hard, you pick a wrong skill and the final boss becomes undefeatable
>>738769456 Getting the cheevos is just the tutorial in Isaac. After getting them all you can start playing for real. I can see you still missing some, newbie
>>738769539 >>738769646 Your insecurities are showing. I never had problem with Spewer and I threw the Spewer-moaner-anon to the walls and bumped his head on hard edges and he just kept coming back for more
>>738772008 last time I picked a druid without realizing he has mutations that add debuffs on hit and wished I had rotten meat to replace the healing with damage
Has anyone made a cat for downmaxxing yet? There seems to be a lot of hidden potential with the amount items, mutations or abilities designed around "when downed" triggers. It's like half the time you only run 3 cats with 2 doing heavy lifting but instead of just wasting a 4th slot you have a designated down cat with a neverstone? I can easily imagine an all kitten mutation plus ash mouth cat with self down and with the passives of either thou shalt not kill or mini me, spawning 4 friendly kittens a pop when downed. Slap holy tears on that cat and now the rest of your party gets holy shield with a free revive to self-down again for more holy shield and kittens.
>>738774505 You don't know if you have missed something unless you check it. There's no harm checking. I have more respect for wiki-checkers than anons posting uneducated outright wrong takes.
>>738774664 Thats probably one the one things I like about Edmund games is that ANYTHING CAN AND WILL be applied to enemies if you start thinking outside the box
>>738774320 The best cat I've made for such occasion was veil for stats up, the spell that gives everyone and yourself soul link, play dead and eternal
>>738774320 I had a sacrificial lamb necro with death mask, death shroud, bulletproof vest and it sucked ass because my cats only got stats up without the promised extra turn.
If you guys have found any more tracks that could have inspired the soundtrack do let me know. It's fun to discover new (old) music in such roundabout ways.
>Time to beat Act3 Impossible I'm not going to risk a wipe here, it's finally time to use the Persuasion Device. Should I also farm for the Chaos Jar or is it overkill?
>>738748679 >try to stomach 1 (one) video >it's an unfunny joke repeated for what it felt like a week How about I don't and just wait for the DLC or for people without a life to do it for me?
>>738761381 >5% to lose a cat after battle That's basically assuring the cat will be gone, it's terrible. Why not put it on a 25% or 50% for the cat to move randomly instead?
>>738761243 The charisma vs inteligence argument boils down to: >Would you rather kill all your enemies on the 1st round? Or the 2nd? So yes, CHA > INT all the way.
>>738782254 I think as soon as you get into save file editors or mods you are cheating. Steven stuff I don't really consider cheating as late game if you can't clear first try you won't be able to with more attempts, doubly so when steven takes control of your cats.
>>738748679 Shit I must have what Edmund has because I watched an episode last night, got chuckles, slept on it, then tried the second pilot in the morning and I'm still enjoying it.
>>738778152 I just want to see what the actual fucking plush looks like before I buy it. I know it's hard to mess up being just a black cat holding a single D6 but I don't like purchasing items based on mockups only.
>>738779749 If you really want to go overkill, get Dealer and summon shade onto a cat with the chaos jar and have the shade use its chaos jar on the original every time its summoned. it gets out of hand really fucking quickly. just make sure that you get some way to instakill, because that cat will be a motherfucker to fight against
>>738791271 >Dealer went from "this is just a worse survivalist and no one likes that one" to "you can make god only be able to puke and give a cat steroids every turn" strats There's really always something new to learn in this game
>>738792073 dealer has always had massive potential, it just takes more setup to get working and so isn't the best in the early game. dealer and summon shade are extremely powerful together, but how often is that combination going to occur unless you've put in the effort to make it happen?
>>738792073 Moms Ring and Dealer was pretty damn good when I was running it. I didn't even think about this thing with overwriting enemy attacks. It also finally gives me a reason to not instantly throw out PCP since it's a free madness infliction
>>738793160 Oh no~ a new media darling is getting all the praise! Who cares, I don't even know 75% of those critics and they're usually allergic to anything that feels like it came from newgrounds
>>738793160 >tfw mewgenics is most likely going to get cucked out of any single award in the TGAs because it's too graphic to be marketable and those soulless corporate ghouls would rather nominate "literal who AAA drivel" over something with actual soul put into it ENDLESS MISERRYYYYY
>>738795397 Does dealer still work if the cat has lost the use of their mouth? I learned the hard way that I can't give PCP to someone cuz it counts as "using a consumable".
>>738797035 Because what she does with your cats is training hers with play fighting which is why she celebrates when they kill anything like your fleas. She just never expects you to fucking explode them into smithereens with your basic attack
>>738798465 >If it's angry and red lower your head >If it's blue and twitchy keep moving swiftly >If it's green and stalking watch where you're walking >If it's brown and big that's your mom kid >"but what if it's all four?" >Uh?
>>738799518 >If it's white and friendly looking spread out and then book it >if it's big, redder, with a hook, throw a piece of meat and run >if it's yellow and asks for coin show him that you carry none >if it's dark and smells of rot, stay clear of leech and corpse
>>738795528 If the user? I don't actually know I never came across the situation where I have that mutation and dealer at the same time. Would be interesting to see what happens.
>>738810821 Two more weeks more or less, still testing. Hopefully they backtrack on open wounds, tho I heard someone found out the cleric's healing was also removing a debuff without the corresponding passive?
>>738813451 It took a while for people to catch on to it after launch to be fair, I don't think the ability itself is broken conceptually, it's just that nobody really understood how broken it was counting as a basic attack. The second you start doing ANY basic attack stuff with FoF+ is when it gets silly. Like that webm is because of the veiny set proccing bleed on basic attack and instantly triggering bleed on applying bleed. I'm surprised with the nerf they went with, I figured they would have made it just be a generic weak melee attack instead of using your basic attack for it, pretty sure that would have solved all of the bullshit without removing the fun.
>>738748679 What if the real meme is that it's not in the show. What if one of the new glasses people didn't predict is just called Fishmaster. And you fish from water tiles.
>>738817687 Alright anon, you're tasked with choosing what plays for Mewgenics in the medley, but it can't have lyrics (background singers allowed) and must be representative of the game while fitting other game themes (so battle if the fleabags is disqualified, sorry)
>It's another "crying skull out of nowhere ruins your dps cat" episode Im really starting to hate isaac now. Fuck off already you little shit you're dead and mommy never loved you
Why is shit like this or rabies/malaria even in the fucking game. most anti fun shit imaginable. great fucking game edmund literal cursed my nerco on the first fucking fight in the lab, not like i wanted completion progression for necro in act 3. So now i have to choose to have a permanent useless party member downed every fight or just kill it off and replace with a random stray with ever stone
>>738820689 Go downed necro. Or just leave it there, downed cats dont get level ups and necro corpses can take a few hits so you should still be able to get the completion tag Also dont shittalk rabies, that attack turns monks and fighters into terrifying monsters
>>738820910 >She's not gonna eat all my cats in the house, is she? nah she just eats whoever you sent out and then fucks off for a few days before the timer restarts
>>738820910 quick tip: do a fighter cleric duo run and then a hunter cleric duo run so you have a max level and upgraded beast of a team to finish tina in 3 rounds
>>738820910 she's not that hard but if you're not feeling confident (like if one of your good retired cats died the day before guillotina or whatever) you can send out a bad sacrificial cat for her to eat and try again in a few days
>>738821198 you don't really need to go that far, i did a regular 4-cat run and still beat her without many issues even with them not being that broken (like my counter+vengeful fighter having gotten PTSD near the end of the training run)
>>738784236 Tina 1 isnt too bad as long as you have consistant healing if the fight gos on for a while. Also dont bunch up but dont spread out too far either so you can beat on her when she swallows one of your cats. I lost my first really good necro to her digestionlucky bastard
>>738821198 Oh, I never realized that potential benefit to running smaller parties. Haven't done anything like that yet. Good advice, thank you. >>738821245 Also a good tip, thank you.
>>738821497 >Oh, I never realized that potential benefit to running smaller parties. I recommend you get into that habit early. Though the game lets you run 4 cats, the level up spread is designed around 3. I find 3 cat runs to be FAR easier once the stat up options at level 3 roll in
>>738821497 >I never realized that potential benefit to running smaller parties I think it's one of the tips Butch gives, he says a lot of useful stuff
>>738824132 I will never understand how did this color translate to being "pink" to other artists. To make it even sillier, Marshmellow had darker fur before becoming "white" due to how the color overlay system works when picking classes meaning her fur when she was younger...
>>738820689 Even if you revive the unlucky victim of this parasite, he'll be useless because the brace is gone for some reason. Thanks christ they are changing it to AI controlled in the beta
>>738827138 Callus is also usually optional, events will put it directly in your inventory and it's up to you if you want to wear it so you can actually use it later with a unit that can unequip it to make it even more broken. Naegleria is more of a countdown for the receiving unit because all that brace and shield won't so shit after it eats all your int, even a fighter that wants their int reduced is useless if you have to revive it constantly
>>738827138 Yes. I also learned the hard way that it supersedes Bare Minimum so even though the stat screen and you mana recharge says you still have 5 int the game is still tracking where your int would be without it.
>>738827138 For better or for worse the upcoming patch plans to make it so instead of being downed you instead become AI controlled. Which honestly I think it just a definite death sentence once you hit situations against instant gib enemies
>>738827571 We had an anon, which I'm pretty sure is the post above yours, get naegleria and then bare minimum, and it doesn't work, it proccs the death before anything else
>>738827512 Love it when we get people who actually go through these interactions, like the anon that discovered quest items given by events don't even need to be equipped or part of a current quest to fuck You over with their effects
>>738828142 Some anon started getting disorders offered instead of passives mid run, checked his inventory and Experimental treatment (the quest one) was there, unequipped. It was the level up screen so there was no way to have a quest item unequipped, and said he had passed a Tracy event recently
>>738828142 Tracy's donation event can sometimes just give you sidequest items that have no destination marked. You aren't required to equip them, either, so they can just sit in your inventory. This is one that happened to me. It's been sitting in my home inventory ever since because I have no idea what to do with it. Beanies even gave me an actual side quest version of it and I completed that one.
>>738829834 I experienced and reported this weeks ago, you got lucky. Side quest items that have a global effect apply EVEN from your inventory and there's nothing you can do about it.
>>738818007 >but it can't have lyrics (background singers allowed) fuck you if last year they sang every time E33 won an award and in the medley for Donkey Kong, they can sing 30 seconds of Kat Fight
>>738830380 ngl there's certain quest items i really wish i had this happen for (ultra vision 3000) but holy shit that had to have been patched recently
>>738830217 >I swear the whole Ice Age chapter exists just to guilt trip you I feel nothing for the Rockstones. They fling their fucking babies as weapons. If I didn't kill them someone else would have for their audacity.
>>738822880 Unironically love that the neighbors all have something interesting to share. Found myself after a shit Creator run just hitting through most all of them out of curiosity.
So I fucked up hard on a liquid terminator fight because I thought I was fucking funny and tried to kick his ass through two rangers both having access to mark I didn't know he could just randomly teleport to get into a better position and he kept getting inside the range and then raped my team.
>>738832365 If C-1000 copies a cat that's holding a Self-Destruct Button he'll kill himself, otherwise just spawn a billion maggots and chip away at him with fire/lava tiles and traps
I'm probably the only asshole that noticed this, but the these enemies in The End might actually be based on Gizzarda from Bumbo, she even had a similar gimmick involving retaliating against the two types of attacks and spawning flies. I know the enemies share a name with an enemy in The End is Nigh but they look and act almost nothing alike.
>>738832969 Wiki said >Bare Minimum: Prevents theIntelligenceloss once it reaches 5, negating the primary downside while still accumulatingBraceandShield.
Hitler III is legitimately a pushover for the point in the game at which you fight him. The Robo-Minibosses all get raped because shield negation is trivial to come by so late in the game but then Hitler himself is piss easy because they expected you to actually struggle with the minibosses so he gets raped too. I'm surprised he wasn't touched at all in the Balance Patch.
>>738835571 It could be worse, they could be on a healthy diet of glass like their cousins at the junkyard. Except I guess Popeyes are more akin to that area's Tomtom
>>738835534 Bare minimum guy here, according to the date my screenshot was taken it happened on March 10th so any hot fixes between then and now may have fixed(?) it so Bare Minimum is given priority
>>738774320 I just used veil and mask plus chain to buff the fuck out of a collorless car for an impossible act 3 run then used mask during the Creator so I didn't have to deal with his good cat.
>Cast a random spell How does it actually work? I've seen Arthur get close to my cats to use Metronome because the AI knows it'll be a melee ability. If I use it away from allies and enemies, does it skip all melee spells because there's no valid targets? If that's true, does that mean it's better to use it in melee so it's less likely to cast Forbidden spells?
A part of me would dig a fishing class, but another part me thinks that it would be dead in the water with how niche of a that gimmick would be. It would be obviously based around water tiles and those appear on like, maybe 1/4 areas at best?
I never learned how to be good at breading, took a break, and now I know nothing. Is there a trick to this. If I just throw out every single low stat cat I'll be having incest cats for the next week
>>738846225 I dodged incest by having 2 or 3 breeding rooms, but it takes way longer to get better overall stats on your cats because you have to spread your stimulation
But in all seriousness it's just a case of finding two cats with high stats, breed them until you get a kitten with both high stats, tube the parents then brees the kitten with the next high stat cat until you get to a cat with all 6s early game, with mid game being all 7s. Doesn't matter how inbred they are as the all 6s or 7s cat you make you then breed with a cat with abilities or mutations you want and keep doing so until you get a high stat kitten with the abilities you desire. I will outline it for you:
>breed high stat cat with another cat with high stats in other areas in a high stimulation room >when you get kitten with combined stats replace it's parents with itself and another cat with high stats in places the kitten hasn't >repeat first two steps >take 6s or 7s cat into high stim room with any cat with mutations >when you get a kitten with the high stats plus mutations replace the parents in the high stim room with itself and a stray >breed until you get a non-inbred kitten with the stats and mutations from non-stray, then replace parents with itself and a cat you want abilities or passives from >once you have your kitten with all 7s, all desired mutations and all desired abilities you breed with strays or non-inbreds and offload any undesireble kittens into the highest comfort room you can make >all those undesired kittens will form a population of cats you have no control over put you can pipe to different NPCs or use as disposeble cats for low priority missions
The breeding in the beta is SHIT >Do you want to keep your all 7 cat? Nuh hu mix it with strays >Do you want to make a line of thinkerers with mage's fur and fire aspect? Well tough luck! Absolute dementia on steakmund's part
>>738847081 nta but when breeding should I just have a single room with high stimulation and throw in two cats? Seems like a waste of space since I only have three rooms, but at the same time I don't see how else I can control who breeds with who
>>738855346 Well I fucked up the run on the first event I... I should probably start using the wiki instead of rawdogging the game for the last 60 hours let's see if i can win the solo chaos collarless run without leveling up
>>738855650 >let's see if i can win the solo chaos collarless run without leveling up >his only ability that does meaningful damage is an Apprentice with the rifle Good luck with that. It's probably possible but I don't see how you don't go into fatigue on Chaos.
>>738855650 oof, just send him home after the desert i've already gotten 2 each of druid and hunter eternal youth kittens before i even thought of getting one collarless
>>738855895 >>738856091 this might actually be salvageable you can level up in shops and Cleric soul allows me to summon apprentice on the first turn (+2 CON is great as well) if the large meteor triggers (10% chance to get full mana per turn) I can summon THREE at once This kitty WILL go to the rift or die trying
>>738856246 Collarless basic attack is some random shit so whatever. Collarless has some rock spells like Find a Rock, Stun and Rockin'. His Boulder Drop is a subtle hint at the player to tell them that Collarless is secretly overpowered as hell.
>>738850782 That's basically it.>>738857545 >leave the killing to other units, lol. Look closer. It's a solo run This is the one circumstance where you WANT to get blood frenzy asap
>Tachysensia, Uberchad, Autism, ADHD, Williams, Scatological, Soulless, Brave, Nudist, Blood Frenzy, Fossilized, Braindead, Necrophage, Masochist, PTSD, Psychosis, Rabies, Lycanthropy and Schizophrenia >harsh drawbacks but powerful benefits >high risk/high reward playstyles for you to design your cat's class and kit around >flat 15% inheritance chance no matter what Give me a disorders statue ffs
>>738856396 final blog update shimmer as first event in bunker got a mutation with -1 charisma so i could no longer cast apprentice turn one johnny mind control made my cat destroy the sniper puntita made it back home
>>738850782 >nta but when breeding should I just have a single room with high stimulation and throw in two cats? Yes, that's the best way at the moment. When you reach 75+ stimulation in one room you esentially just reincarnate your favorite cats with kittens being copies down to their passives. Low stim you will struggle to get the cats you want and will be unlikely to pass down any abilities, active or passive, at all.
>>738858228 i'm inclined to believe luck affects disorder inheritance because after i took a weeklong break and opened the game up to end the day, i just got another primo dwarf immediately
>>738859594 >so yeah, i won't be working with nicalis anymore in the future >anyways, here's a teaser for the console release of Mewgenics, ported by Nicalis™
status: I've unlocked the third act but before staring it I need to beat Zaratana vs Pyrophina, and also I need to beat Throbbing Kingdom and unlock the extra stage in the second act
>>738860284 >or to yourself in you're alone yeah because when my solo cat gets downed my immediate concern is the two disorders this hat will give it instead of the fucking DEFEAT! screen What is the point of this clause
>>738829863 I haven't visited Frank once since maxing out my rooms since I don't do parasite synergies. The game knows you'll do this too since the last dialog was him begging you not to leave him or some shit.
>Doing Act 3 Impossible run >Prepare myself to get fucked 1st phase of final boss >They don't roll Depression or Speedy >I obliterate the boss in 2 turns It's just that easy Luck IRL is the strongest stat after all
>>738863314 why is depressing so bad? is it because any spawns will also have depressing too? i can see how that would be bad but if the boss isn't one that spawns things it doesn't seem like a huge deal
>>738762059 i had this problem too until i closed the game with alt f4 after i looted throbbing king and having more ultra visions than i can wear and opened it again. you wont be softlocked by the inventory menu if you dont open it, and if you do open it you can close and open the game again
>>738863624 there is no way there is no WAY he did not know this for so long in fact, there is so much no way that we have all simply assumed it was a deliberate choice no questions asked
>>738863538 I don't want to spoil the last boss for you but in the first phase it summons enemies that usually have their turn after your cats. The problem comes when the boss or the summons spawn with Depressing... all your cats are now slower so the enemies can fuck you up before you can do anything
>>738863989 wait, you can farm callus on downed cats? i thought death health overwrote everything about normal health, as in, dropped your bar to zero with no shield
>>738864158 >Arthur the jester class rep >clearly a collarless cat wearing the jester cap >doesnt even have a jester kit, just spams metronome (a collarless skill unlocked by taking a collarless cat through act 1) >jester cap is not a part of the jester set despite being the JESTER cap and having the same benefits as a jester class (extra rerolls, all class skills selection) jesters just piss my autism off. I get that it's fully intentional but still
>>738863624 >Missed catching this every game test >Missed catching this every time he saw someone else play the game >Missed this in the 3000 fanarts he got of them >Catches Marshmallow being Pink
>>738864356 nta but you want to critically fail some events. Bear/dust devil critical fails are an extra fight (ie an extra level up), and critically failing some checks will give you some powerful af disorders you cant get normally (soulless, addict, blood frenzy, eternal youth, etc)
>>738864290 im not downing him, the shield stops him from dying even with the massive negative stats so i end up farming both i should probably give him a neverstone anyway >>738864179 i'm mosstly doing hobby goals at this point, i want a room with legitimate eternal youths of every class as well as have a heirloom callus (among other infinite cursed items) because i ruined my guts laughing when an anon crashed out over the beta patch making cursed items get worn and him lamenting his own heirloom callus
>>738863624 >shitposts about the marshmallow fanart getting her color wrong >gets Draven, Chan Hung and Arthur's colors wrong And now once fixed all the fanart of those three cats will have their colors wrong BRAVO EDMUND
>want to do a 4 cat run >fighter rolls punch face, dps carry confirmed >hunter rolls gravity falls, not bad, not great >druid rolls wild style, extra turns for shapeshifting into elk/wolf is great >mage rolls overlo-INTO THE FUCKING BLENDER WITH YOU What's that one passive that tells you immediately that this is going to be a 3 cat run?
>>738864621 Yeah probably, although the fanarts are super hard to miss >Curious, everyone is drawing the multicolored class as the same pale grey-ish green
>>738865014 That's a shame because I liked the idea that Arthur is not really a jester as in the class, just a stray with something deeply wrong with him
>>738798406 finished the main quest after 175 hours though i never skipped a day and would do all the class completions and quests i could. Getting the final cutscene with only collarless cats was cool
>>738864569 >im not downing him, the shield stops him from dying even with the massive negative stats so i end up farming both wait, what the fuck, i'm even more confused now, how does negative CON work? does the negative subtract from existing shield first before downing your cat, as in if you have -60 CON and 61 shield you get left with 1 HP 1 shield?
>Cool, smart metronome! >I'll use it to help clear the first fight while things are still shakey >The very second spell it casts is a forbidden one Why the fuck would you ever use this shit?
>>738865896 Yeah, I took a jester to the boneyard. He did forbidden spells and gave himself AND another cat Kamikaze It was fucking awful but hilarious
>>738863624 wew boy if he actually does change their color to match their classes at least put in a option to turn the class color of cats off so we can see the other cats main fur tones
>>738866290 rolling through disorders to cast a single spell way more shit than a fighter with a whetstone will never be good no matter how they buff it there is just no fucking reason to do so outside of vanishingly niche items and interactions, it's insane
I know people dog on Butcher's learnpool but it has some REALLY good shit in there if you fish for it with Rerolls. Skull Bash (specifically +, though the normal version is still excellent if you really need to disable something for a turn as long as you use it after everything else), Chomp, Spin to Win, Rankle, etc. etc. can really break a run. It isn't even like Mage or pre-patch Tinkerer where the movepool was also be compounded by underwhelming base traits, Butcher has one of the best innate movesets in the game. >>738798406 I'm currently at 243 Hours with 96%. I'm probably gonna stop playing soon though, I'm not interested in fighting all the house bosses again for Crazy+ and I really can't be assed to get most of Tinkerer's unlocks when really fucking lame even after the buff.
>>738798406 I beat the main quest at 102 hours in with 92%, and right now I'm on the Impossible difficulty grind with 201 hours and 104%. Still need to make a new save for a couple of achievements.
note to self: NEVER run act 2 or 3 when hunting eternal youths getting 10 injuries in a row from 10 consecutive fucking lever/button events is not cool
>Didn't even know these guys existed until earlier today I don't go to the Moon often so I guess that's why, but damn, I thought I'd seen everything over 200 hours in.
>>738867468 >>738867612 I appreciate the cool things that Bare Minimum can do for breeding cool cats that you can throw otherwise crippling disorders and parasites onto, but I'm gonna go with host for the immediate power. Thanks.
>>738864995 >overload mage inherited power up >feel some pity >huh maybe I can roll for learn from me so the whole team gets power up >fight against Radical Rat >use powerup >overload rolls fire element >immediately detonates one of his bombs right next to the mage at full power (which also hits my hunter) >sets the field on fire >first fight in the sewers >move him closer to enemy lines, expecting a backflip or bonus move from powerup to get him out >use powerup >overload rolls electric element >it electrifies the pool he's standing in and HE STUNS HIMSELF >gets downed by a nearby kitten Better I cut my losses to one wasted level up. I am fed up with this class and Im just not dealing with this bullshit
I just fought a Coven on Crazy that had Depressing and gave all the flies and frogs she spawned Slightly Depressing and it was literally the only time I've ever struggled with the boss.
i had a backup of my savefile long before i got the wrong eternal youth kitten... i still got the same wrong eternal youth but now i'm farming parasites B)
>>738874983 trading is going to destroy this game (and is giving me flashbacks to grow a garden's economy), but i doubt most players will even comprehend the kind of items that will
>>738875657 Agreed, items have carried most of my runs and it's guaranteed people will make new savefiles to get and duplicate silly stuff like persuasion device
