>>738750898 https://blog.playstation.com/2026/05/12/revealing-scuf-omega-a-performance-controller-officially-licensed-for-playstation-5-consoles/ Not to mention the price, €240 and doesn't even have haptics
>>738752193 They wouldn't have that if they did. Sony licensed controllers are $200+ with no haptics, adaptive triggers, or gyro just to make sure they're priced out of competing with the Dualsense, which is why you don't see any of the big chinese third parties working with them.
>>738753496 No they're fucking garbage. I've had at least 3 brand new controllers that got stick drift within a couple months of opening them. They're also incredibly fragile and the touch pad, speakers and haptic trigger bullshit are just retarded gimmicks that at best do nothing but drive the price up and at wort are just fucking annoying if a game actually tries to use them at all.
>>738753912 desu stick drift is mostly a non-issue if you can do some bit annoying soldering to install some third party sticks though it really is annoying
>>738753912 >stick drift mine lasted for two years, don't know what to say but i do agree it shouldn't be happening at all >fragile no? how? unless it's for the stick drift again >touch pad yes but only because it's in the worst possible spot >speakers yeah, they're useless together with the microphone/headphone jack, except for when they are used for enhanced haptics >haptic trigger bullshit, that's easily its best feature, playing with haptics absolutely enhances whatever you're playing
>>738753912 >stick drift My Dualshock 4 lasted 9 years before it got stick drift and it got a lot of use. I soldered new TMR sticks on and it's better than new now.
>>738754280 >no? how? unless it's for the stick drift again I've had buttons on PS4 controllers completely break just from dropping them once. PS5 controllers aren't as bad but they're still cheap trash. >yes but only because it's in the worst possible spot No, its a completely retarded concept regardless of where they put it. Anytime a game actually uses it it pisses me off. >bullshit, that's easily its best feature, playing with haptics absolutely enhances whatever you're playing No. Vibration as a whole is completely fucking pointless and I turn it off to save battery life. >>738754162 >>738754542 >the controllers are actually good as long as you take them apart and fix all the issues they have yourself
>>738754853 >the controllers are actually good as long as you take them apart and fix all the issues they have yourself i mean for tinkerers it's a weekend side project you do in an afternoon but also i agree that controllers should come with hall effect at least by default
>>738754853 >I've had buttons on PS4 controllers completely break just from dropping them once. PS5 controllers aren't as bad but they're still cheap trash. Again, don't know what to say, all my ds4/dualsense had to deal only with drift, surviving several falls. guess it just goes down to luck >No, its a completely retarded concept regardless of where they put it. Anytime a game actually uses it it pisses me off. again, no, if used smartly it's ok to add extra inputs without completely changing the controller's layout, but its position is shit and it works like shit because of that >No. Vibration as a whole is completely fucking pointless and I turn it off to save battery life. one of the worst opinions i've ever read, jesus
>>738754853 9 years is more than an entire console generation. If you're not willing to tinker to fix things after that time, the you can always pay somebody else to do it.
>>738753912 >They're also incredibly fragile and the touch pad, speakers and haptic trigger bullshit are just retarded gimmicks that at best do nothing but drive the price up and at wort are just fucking annoying if a game actually tries to use them at all. That's because they are not made to play video games but instead movie games. All those features are there to make it le immersive instead of making for practical gameplay purposes. This is not really a video games company anymore.
