>>738756565 ..if cyclops' punch beam is that powerful and he can't 'control' them why doesn't he just keep his glasses off forever powering up some beam generator made by beast or some other nerd until his beam powers run out and he's normal again? surely he'll generate enough retard amounts of energy to fuel a giant mech to help the x-men while his beam is recharging unless his beam never recharges so now he single handedly made mankind a post scarcity society with infinite energy.
>>738756854 oh well you don't really fight strategists as Emma as they're way out of ur range and you have tanks and dps to fight instead. I guess when they ult you can grab and kick them out of their ult if you wait at their last dash location allowing ur team to kill them and eliminate the ult. That's the only time I'd really hard focus them as an Emma.
>>738756565 I really like Cyclops and it always bewildered to me that the guy with shooter powers didn't make it into the Marvel shooter game. I don't really care for this sort of 'sweaty' fps and I wish they'd just do things like their coop zombies mode, but I'll try him out since there's no X-Men Legends 3 on the horizon and they killed Marvel Heroes.
>>738758114 CnD is fun if you an actually swap around with cloak but just healbotting on dagger like you have to play kinda sucks. Gambit can be a lot more aggressive and playmakey
>twitterniggers mad screaming wacism just because nigger girl isn't playable and is just a disembodied voice great Now add playable Katie Power or Valeria Richards. Now that would make the twitter niggers go APESHIT
>>738758489 Hopefully never. He's a cultural artifact from an era that seems to be receding. My hope is that China makes black people illegal sometime soon and he won't be addable.
I like the game, Devil looks fun the game still pisses me off though if you don't play meta characters or one close enough you are throwing it for your team and you're going to lose because your team left Gambit open and your supports are Mantis and Ultron the devs want niche characters but they won't nerf the characters who are blatantly broken and the playerbase wants to one trick the worst possible characters because they're the chosen one and they can make them work. see? they names themselves Mantis Foot Slave. They must be good. losing because of the "wrong" characters is shit in any game
>>738758772 mantis is very strong tho... She's definitely a character you can one trick tot he highest ranks int he game and one of the best strats to carry a team.
You insist that meta characters are everything but don't even know who the meta characters are.
>>738759362 Yes that season was retarded but there's too much grounded bullshit in the game already and all of the dive is broken as hell. DD should have been hotfix gutted a year ago. Johnny has 1 cheese combo and they removed his tech entirely.
If they didn't want to make Moon Girl playable because muh child being shot at or whatever the fuck why didn't they just age her up like they did with Peni? Unlike Peni, Moon Girl has existing teen/adult variants they could've cribbed design cues from. At worst, they could've implemented the mind swap thing and just made it so you can switch between Devil Dinosaur or Moon Girl being in control with different voice lines and maybe an animation change or two in there.
>>738757672 Blind people have super senses to balance out lack of eyesight. She can feel the difference between rock-hard dicking and a less powerful fleshy one.
>>738759585 Nobody actually cares about Moon Girl and until today she was known to about 27 people worldwide. It's just performative black worship, and it's very obvious the devs were in their right mind to try and exclude people like that. I hope they change the main menu to a picture of MLK hanging from a tree and then Spider-Man slowly lowers upside down from a web.
>>738759682 I care. Devil Dinosaur being playable is cool and all but a whole lot of the appeal is the interaction between the two. >>738759718 There was a two-season cartoon and a 50~ issue solo run for them, which isn't that impressive until you consider the fact that it's a lot more than characters who are significantly older have gotten for themselves. I'm not a mega fan or anything (I haven't finished a single one of their runs and I haven't seen a single episode of the cartoon) but this implementation feels kinda half-assed
>>738759898 It's not half assed. It's careful. They can't have Iron Man blowing away a little kid in their T rated hero shooter, and implementing her in some sort of Ferra/Torr way (where only Torr actually took damage and Ferra just rolled around in the background during Fatalities) sounds like a nightmare to make work in a hero shooter.
At the same time, aging up Moon Girl doesn't work because she's a little kid. That's basically making her a different character. Peni not only is in her mid teens (they say she's aged up but it's very obvious she's still meant to be mid teens), so it's less of a change to say she's 18, but is also carefully excluded from ever getting battered in gameplay anyway, just the mech suit. And so, they've opted to have her be mission control for Devil Dinosaur as well as communicating with other characters where he can't. I'm sure he'll have some prematch interactions that are just him roaring at characters, but also she'll speak for him in some others, and for stuff like ally eliminitions. And she'll pop up in some MVPs. It's fine.
>>738758753 I like how that master sentinel managed to figured out that "mutants are human" therefore he must "protect humans from themselves" all while his creator is in complete denial over this fact.
>>738757204 >>738757232 >>738757383 You know, for him, this is just opening his eyes wider than usual. Imagine opening your eyes wide and screaming for no reason
>>738760517 It's mainly just a joke about how some X-Men writers tend to have teams like the Avengers be really bizarrely unpleasant and hostile to the X-Men when they pop up in their comics or in crossovers, as if just to keep the X-Men in their own pond where they have the "world that hates and fears them" schtick despite there being superheroes everywhere who don't face that prejudice in their own comics.
>>738760470 Eh, that makes sense overall, but like I said, there ARE canonical aged up versions of her that they had good excuses to use due to the entire plot of the game being about converging timelines and dimensions. I can accept that there might've been some arbitrary Marvel mandate bullshit that got in the way of that though, so it might've been "actual" Moon Girl or bust.
>>738760659 One of my favorite silly things about Marvel is how your average citizens is able to tell the difference between a mutant and any other kind of super.
>>738761113 The joke is that Emma wants to fuck him, Kitty points out that he isn't her type, and then Emma becomes mortified that the man she wants to fuck sees her as similar to his mother.
>>738761170 Yeah obviously, but WHY does Cap see her as his similar to his mother? I highly doubt she looked anything like Emma Frost >>738761263 I think the implication is Cap is NOT attracted to Emma at all because she reminds him of his mother, which I don't feel makes sense.
>>738760517 no, the x-office is just spiteful and envious >>738761113 the joke is that emma has a soft spot for goodie two-shoes and becomes distraught at the thought that cap liking her back is because she reminds him of his mother, a woman born before 1920 it makes her feel old
>>738761113 That a hundred year old man is reminded of his mother who was born in about 1900 when he sees her, making her feel old as fuck, instead of young and sexy.
>>738760896 She's already a little bit obscure, being a recent character best known for a children's cartoon, making her an adult would be even more so. Then there's the optics of aging up a little kid character so you can put her in skimpy sexy outfits, as all the women in Rivals get. Or having a little kid surrounded by women in skimpy sexy outfits.
>>738761078 It seems like the reasoning is that mutants are inherent, coming from the X-gene, and anyone could be one, whereas someone like Spider-Man or Captain America are clearly unnaturally so and were one of a kind creations, even if they don't know the specifics.
Obviously, it doesn't really make sense, but X-Men has its schtick that helped make it a blockbuster series under Claremont and they tend to be afraid to veer too far from that. Even when writers look to change up the formula greatly, it tends to wind up back at square one before long with mutants ostracized and X-Men fighting for Xavier's dream.
>>738761420 Maybe not looking like Emma Frost, but perhaps strong, matriarchal, prim and proper, an older vibe, etc. The latter is probably what has Emma appalled, being perceived as older. She's a vain woman.
>>738762058 wow thats so much better. dumbass. tired of these retards pretending to be a pedo on 4chan to look edgy or get a rise out of people, its played out. wow you trolled me bro good going enjoy prison
>>738758489 When his third movie releases next year, probably. The devs already confirmed that if he is added he'll be his own character instead of a skin for Peter.
>>738756565 I can't believe they're bring back the fucking punch dimension explanation for his powers. That hasn't been a thing since the 80s, the only reason why anyone still remembers it is purely through fucking memes.
>>738762363 It seems like their reason for it is to explain that Alchemax have been using him as a conduit to said dimension to power their shields against the timeline changing
>>738756865 It's just good sense >Rogue is hot and hasn't gotten a lot of skins despite being decently popular >Psylocke is hot and popular but she gets a gorillion good skins and just got one (it'd be like voting for Luna, Sue, or Jeff to get a skin) >Storm is hot and doesn't have a lot of good skins, but she's black (black women just get less coom attention for some reason) and not played often so she falls behind Rogue >nobody gives a fuck about Namor >Magneto is one of the most-played heroes, is popular, has consistently great skins without having an overwhelming volume of them, and is the chud vote because he's a man that isn't Namor All of their placements track.
>>738762394 Think the current explanation they're insisting is that his pressor-beams is powered by him metabolizing the sun's energy or some shit like some kind of walking high efficiency solar collector or a plant, don't quote me on that I might have been dissociating a little while reading that because modern comic book lore does that to me.
>>738762487 and Magneto also has two skins of him being well dressed (his House of M, and his Quiet Council), he's a snappy dresser and a free Gala outfit would probably also look cool
>>738762006 >being perceived as older. She's likely actually older too. They're vets and they act older than they are, but Cap and Bucky are in their 20s
>>738762394 >>738762602 to me it's like asking how does Storm control the weather because of a gene like Magneto, on paper, has a power to control the magnetic fields, it's magical in practice obviously but it's a stated mechanism nonetheless, Storm controls the weather via "she just can" and that's all, which is totally fine, Cyclops shoots lasers from his eyeballs because he does, it's fine, I don't need an explanation of where the energy comes from any more than I need an explanation of where the tissue mass comes from when Wolverine heals his arm back or whatever
>>738761078 The crossover in the 90s is so fucking funny because you had shit like this and Supes wondering what the fuck was wrong with the world that metas are hunted
>>738764331 >Superman gets mad that people are being discriminated against and that the Marvel heroes allow crime to get to such a bad level that they can't contain it. >Cap gets mad that the DC heroes are being treated like idols and have giant statues of themselves built in random cities.
>>738756565 All I know of Cyclops is him being useless in the grand scheme of things in the live action movies. Is he cool in the comics and other adaptations?
>>738764858 Cyclops was always the dorky lame X-Man, Wolverine was the cool one. Scott's narrative purpose is literally to make Logan look cooler by comparison. It's only in recent years that Cyclops has been pushed as cool because more people have begun to relate to the quiet dork than the loud Chad
>>738765414 She probably will be wearing this costume, the Ms. Marvel outfit with her cheeks hanging out is definitely gonna be her coom bait launch skin
>>738765329 In the short term your best hopes is probably a tie in with whatever they do for the Endgame movie tie in. I mean we HAVE to be getting Thanos sometime between the IW and Endgame event right???
>>738764858 It's hard for anyone to be cool in comics now that trannies have infested like mold, but yeah in the good times he was cool. Wolverine is what you want to be when you're a boy, Cyclops is what you want to be when you're a man.
>>738764858 I don't know why people don't care that much about Cyclops, when I was younger I always saw him as the "leader" of X-Men (of course, not considering Professor X) Might be because I didn't watch the live action movies that much
>>738769389 I'm familiar with the concept, but shouldn't that be the explanation for why his eyes WOULDN'T create recoil? All the energy goes from and into that dimension, leaving the net force on Cyclops as zero.
>>738769391 >60s Field leader but 60s X-Men sucked
>70s Field leader and kids still respected the leader but edgy Wolverine is there being cool
>80s Semi-retires to live with his wife and kid and stops being the default field leader and also the "actually heroic and upstanding white male leader" stops being cool so you've got a killer like Wolverine and a black chick like Storm taking the leadership spot
>90s Marvel resets the status quo so he's back as the field leader of the main team. Properly heroic leaders are not even close to cool so he's just there to make Wolverine (or sometimes Cable or some other fucker) look cool
>00s Years of "Wolverine can actually be moral occasionally" have piled up to the point where he's not even an anti-hero anymore, leaving Cyclops' niche completely filled. Somehow this actually inverts the two characters so now Cyclops is the one doing the morally grey stuff while Wolverine bitches about not walking handicapped kids to school
>10s Cyclops and Wolverine just keep diverging
>20s Hickman wipes everything away and resets the status quo to his gay mutant orgy island
So basically you've got people that like 70s/80s Cyclops for being a great, moral leader and people that like 00s and 10s Cyclops for being the edgy, get-things-done leader. There's a limited amount of crossover in that. There's also the perception that his powers are boring but that's really not true.
>>738764858 He is way better in the comics but he has always been lame. People dunk on him for the movies making him a cuck, but way before the love triangle with Jean and Logan started he was a pretty boring character, often by not taking part in the O5 bantz or when Angel and Beast were simping over Jean he would be in the corner "abloobloo she is too much for me to handle so I won't even try"
>>738770469 Not that they can't come out of nowhere, like Black Cat did, but we've seen nothing of Jane Foster and I feel like Beta Ray Bill is more likely as another Thor character just on account of them showing Stormbreaker in the Collector's Museum but pointedly looking more like a two handed hammer than the one hander it is in the comics. Which would be an easy way to differentiate him from Thor before even getting into overall moveset.
>>738770572 I thought Doom was third or fourth. Wasn't Stark second? Anyway the whole ranking thing is fairly arbitrary and doesn't mean much in practice, but it did give this excellent Hank panel.
dino is a literal who. his moves are wasted on him and would have been better used on other characters. not including moon girl with him is soulless. no i don't buy the crappy excuse about not being able to beat on little kids. just chuck a peni and make her "18". cyclops looks like shit. his visor too big and black. he wears too much blue and not enough yellow. there's way too many X's on his outfit. also i have when his cheeks aren't covered. tanks lost again. duellists get the fucking cyclops while we get a faggy dinosaur. the dino in questions doesn't even look cool. he looks like fag. at least jeff is funny cute. this dino literally looks like a fisher price toy. to top it off he looks like he's going to be busted and absolutely shred other tanks and fliers. basically he's gonna be an anti-fun machine for everyone else. Also the balance patch motes were a joke. Also they really chopped off Hulk's penis and want to sell it to us as a skin after months of no skins for the guy? L update. Fuck zhiyong. Also hurry up and give us some good/free fucking classic skins already. we really got cyclops before getting a decent yellow wolverine skin? are these stupid nigger devs for real?!?!
>>738770567 I feel like that my guess describes what that fag tried to convey. The next season's final gallery card should have something to say as per usual.
>>738769931 It's a type of White fantasy, what would the world be like if black people were actually smart? Virtually all overly woke depictions of blacks are actually in this genre, a White guy unknowingly daydreaming about what it would be like if black people had positive qualities instead of being black.
>>738770851 Tony is Doom's superior when it comes to personal armaments/armors. Doom is worse than Reed in general sci-fi science, Strange in magic, Pym in robotics, etc. But they lack Doom's flexibility, when you're the second smartest in every field you can mix and match at will. Reed and Stark never have answers to Doom's spells, mechanical automated movements allow Doom to cast more efficiently than Strange, etc. Plus Doom is immoral, paranoid, and unhinged so he's always prepared for random vampire attacks or whatever
>>738769931 Bendis. And people who follow him or are like him. >>738769653 Perhaps the eyes have the ruby material in them and thus experience no recoil. However the force of the shockwave generated by that much energy being let loose, pushes him backward. Maybe his skull or other parts are strong enough to take this wave but his muscles aren't enough to keep him in place. I dunno. Just an off-the-cuff pseud-explanation. >>738764858 There's some cool interactions he has with Chuck in the comics before Morrison. They respect each other and Cyke sees him as a mentor and father figure. He goes through the wringer after eugenicist Mister Sinister orchestrates everything related to his love life. This is done to serve Apocalypse and Scott eventually gets a win on him.
>>738771669 Depends on what he is. Jean makes the most sense but if he's also a DPS I don't think they'll pair two DPS together. Emma would make the most sense with a DPS, but Emma is currently teaming with Iron Fist and they didn't remove it in the latest patch I don't know if they double up. They might go with Magneto
>>738771802 I hope so, no need to overcomplicate it. Give him a primary beam, some kind of wide knock back beam, a take-the-visor-off ult and there you go.
Professor X has the power to shut everybody's brain off in the world if he wanted and the only counter is wearing a stupid helmet like Magneto and Juggernaut. Cyclops is effectively a walking delete button with his eyes and the only counter is psychic suppression fuckery, or just being able to tank a blast that can crack a plaent in two like Juggernaut. Sounds like they would be more interesting as villains than heroes.
>>738756565 What was he even shooting at at the beginning of the webm? Wasn't he surrounded? Did he really just shoot at a single robot the whole time?
>>738774375 Watch the full video on the Youtube Link. He was fighting multiple robots at once and he saw Moon Girl caught in the crossfire. He release his full power as a way to take them all down at once to try to save her, but had to stop before he hurt her as well.
>>738758621 They just picked moon girl over moon boy, which is basically the same situation. Miles is fucking retarded but Rivals is supposedly not that popular in Asia. The Disney overlords are going to start forcing hero picks at some point.
>>738775403 Not him but I'll occasionally get these ridiculously long losing streaks in quick play, it's really bizarre. The game very obviously has a hidden mmr in quickplay, and eomm, so that the better you do the sweatier the other team will be.
>>738776502 Yeah, there's absolutely MMR in QP. I know this because I play QP way more than ranked. When I do my ten ranked matches per season for the skins I end up pubstomping and win 9/10 placement matches because I usually get matched against psychotic GM players in QP instead of random metal ranks. There's clearly a lot of skill matching even in QP, it just might be more flexible than ranked.
That said, anecdotally I don't think I've had a bot match in over a year. Every time I've had a stomp it's been very obvious that the other team are real people. I think maybe if you have good standing, a solid history to build your MMR, or enough playtime or something you just stop getting bot matches.
>>738769931 If it weren't for constant fiction trying to convince the goyim that niggers were good for something, white people might start to wonder why they've spent over a century's worth of blood and treasure trying to elevate a subrace that never even invented the wheel.
Cyclop's ult is definitely gonna something like the Kyuubi chakra where stands still and shots a big ass laser infront of him, either in a 180-270 degree area. Also hits flyers. Something like he did in the comic he destroys a sentinel.
>>738762363 i remember it still being brought up as something that existed a few years back. not by the mutant side of marvel though. America Chavez was in space and briefly jumped into the punch dimension and out again and used the hole she left behind when she exited to have the punch dimension pour out of and hit the ship/robot/whatever he fuck it was she was fighting at the time. I don't like the character but it was a pretty neat use of her powers.
>>738762363 What's wrong with the punch dimension? >It's stupid It's comic books. It's like desiring Jessica Drew, Cindy Moon, Mayday Parker, or Gwen Stacy to shoot webs out of their vaginas because it makes more sense than their fingernails or wrists.
>>738782282 >I have a hard time keeping track of my target after dashing through them yesh same. Same on Psylocke I only use her dashes as long range gap closer or escape
>>738765101 It helps that Cyclop's mind (like Spider-Mans) is basically catnip to psychics. At their core, they're extremely noble and moral. Literal 1 in a billion.
>>738782847 >shoot webs out of their vaginas Besides Family Guy and The Boys, I am struggling to think of a spiderman parody that shot webs out of their anus or genitals. Can the few people stil itt think of any?
>>738785213 >visor They ruined it by making it reach down to his cheek bones like a mask instead of the goggles look. I guess it is to make the obsessed like me pay for the "real" skin.
>>738756565 cyclops design looks pretty cool. also my 2 favorite characters thing and mr f get a buff. nice shame the cool t-rex is burdened with a negro mary sue voice that was created out of an inferiority complex
>>738759718 it's not about caring about the character. it's about capturing the comic character earnestly. if you get pissed that hulk wears a gamma belt then you should be pissed that moongirl is just a radio.
>>738791001 >making her his voices means she's out of the picture entirely Good. She's going to shit talk anyway as this panel shows >>738769828 She can be scapegoated for enforcing the Devil part in Devil Dino's name as she shit talks through him.
>>738791924 nta but they defiantly changed something. I went on a 6 game lose streak and didnt get a bot match. Last season I had a few bot matches where it was only me in the lobby instead of at least 2 others on my team so maybe they're slowly phasing them out
>>738791924 You can always tell a bot match at the start. All enemies are between level 5-15 all PC and your bottom 2 on the start list are also 5-15 and they also leave the chat as soon as the match ends. But I agree they toned them down. I was getting bots almost every other game last season thanks to the worst MM I've seen since current CoD
>>738770652 To me this image looks like 3 real women and 3 trannies passing as women. >Bigger hands >Broader shoulders >No wide waist Those are just men in wigs and make up.
>>738774139 Gambit and Jubilee are also potential walking cataclysms, they're held back by an intentional partial lobotomy and natural reluctance/restraint respectively.
>>738795701 >batle pass: 30 bucks >unlock the battle pass to get to the hero I actually like: another 30 >luna event: 10 dollars >black cat: 30 dollars That's 100 bucks I'll end up spending on this game...
Reminder to hate all jeff players. Youre character sucks at his one job and everyone knows its a lost cause to play because you'll be swimming all game instead of healing
>>738796019 >>unlock the battle pass to get to the hero I actually like: another 30 u wot why would you not just play it? even just playing the game semi-regularly gets you to the end of the battlepass by the second half of the season...you know, for free
>>738797003 I assumed Jeff was the legendary given how long his intro was, but they showed Star-Lord in red, indicating chromas, so who are the legendaries? Rogue and?
>>738798682 >and the first character to repeat I actually liked that each battlepass featured legendaries for two different characters without any repeats, but now shit's ruined thanks to this fuckass shark
