You can't wear (most)helmets with modded hair without it either persisting and clipping like this or your head going bald because hair mods don't include a helmet hair model for whatever reason.

The railroad might have been an actually cool as fuck faction if they didn't do they so retarded. You could have met them at the church and thought oh they're some rinky dink dog shit group, then after a couple of quests they bring you to the switchboard and they have a level of sophistication and technology that actually justifies siding with them as a power in the commonwealth.
But no Emil gives us his minimal effort because we liked building sheet metal huts.

Its been like 8 fucking years since the last Fallout game came out. Everything has been talked about. Unless Fallout 76 put out a big new update soon, there wont be much to talk about until the end of the year,

It might sound rather obvious in hindsight, but the whole East-West Bull-Bear thing is so incredibly well-done in New Vegas. The parallels to the old west are on the surface, quite obvious, but there is one major difference. Instead of civilization coming from the east to tame and colonize the west, it's the west coming to colonize the areas further east than itself. That in turn isn't just a quirky reversal of real life history, it's actually a subtle allegory for the real life war on terror and holistically, a combination of all the various things the real life United States opposes. You can see it in how the Legion are composited of many modern foes of the United States; their methods are crude and brutal like the Vietcong guerrilla fighters, they are zealous and fanatical like the Taliban, and they are fascistic and autocratic like the Nazis. The red iconography is rather appropriate too, considering that in the Fallout universe, the US was bombed after a war with the "reds" (the communist Chinese).
This is what makes them such a great foil for the NCR, since the NCR is in many ways a repeat of the past.
I guess what I'm saying is, Bravo Vince.

>>566338370
Probably purely for the sake of the aesthetic.
Recall the the Roman roleplay was deliberate from Caesar. He wanted something foreign and alien to the tribals of the Southwest. If they were kitted out in surplus combat armor like most of the armies of the new west, it wouldn't be as striking or memorable to the image he was trying to create.
Also the Legion armor is actually "good enough" in terms of protection -- since he was facing off largely against other tribal forces.

>You could have met them at the church and thought oh they're some rinky dink dog shit group, then after a couple of quests they bring you to the switchboard and they have a level of sophistication and technology that actually justifies siding with them as a power in the commonwealth.
It would've made a nice parallel to the Brotherhood in that sense. Having them be formed by the remnants of DIA and other intelligence agencies shortly after the war would also go a long way in justifying it as their HQ and why people like Desdemona have experience in logistics and infiltration.
>>566338370
The Legion already have large stockpiles they scavenged from universities, schools and stadiums across the Four Corners, it wouldn't take much to just pad them with armored interiors instead of trying to manufacture or scavenge comparatively rarer stuff like combat/riot armor.
And like >566340657 said, you can't exactly strike the Roman theming as hard with just painted red leather armor.

What I want to know is how Bethesda managed to make a DLC all about space and aliens to be so absolutely boring. Honestly Mothership Zeta manages to be worse than Operation Anchorage, at least the latter's nice to look at
>>
>>
>>566344825
mothership zeta has the worst combat setpieces and worst characters in fallout 3. Even if one likes aliens, I don't see why they'd like anything about Zeta's gameplay.
I think Operation Anchorage, while not a whole lot better at least has a quaintness to it. It's a military FPS parody and it's relatively tongue-in-cheek the whole way through.
>>
The entrance to the capital wasteland in TTW shouldn't be in freeside it should be somewhere else
I personally think the mod zeta rehaul, which allows you start Zeta from the alien spawn in new vegas, should let you teleport down to the crash site in the capital wasteland after completing the DLC. That's just one example which seems better than that shitty train idea.
>>
>>566342106
I've done legion playthroughs, but I've never had a legion run where I'm hostile towards the NCR from the get go.
It sounds like it'd get old pretty fast and, ironically, would lock you out of a few legion quests.
>>
>>566344825
For me it's not just the lore implications (although that's a huge part of it), it's the level design.
Anchorage's quests and combat are at least somewhat fun because of how diverse the backdrops are. You're fighting in corridors, large open barracks/camps, artillery stations, etc. There also isn't just one or two enemy types. You fight regulars Chinese soldiers, Crimson Dragoons, Chimeras, etc. The placements of these enemies can take you by surprise sometimes, like the Dragoons will hide behind barrels and ambush you. And lastly, in OA you at least get some cool loot at the end of it which makes it worth it. You get PA training, a Gauss rifle, and the most durable PA in the game.
Mothership Zeta has nothing like that. Mostly every level is the same fricking corridor. I only remember fighting little green aliens and the most annoying robots ever. Then you finally beat it, and what do you get? Basically nothing compared to Anchorage.
>>
>>566352285
Oh and another thing I forgot to mention (likely because of how much it sucked). The fricking UFO boss battle at the end where it's just about spamming E. That might be one of the worst "boss" fights I've ever sat through.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>566352285
I'm gonna be honest I was so retarded my first playthrough of Anchorage that I didn't know where to get my weapons so I went out without any for the first one and just took the guns off of chinese soldiers right before they disappeared.

How does Jacobstown's ending work exactly for the End Slides?
On my recent run, I failed the to pass the speech check for Keene and let him go, but I passed the science check with Doc Henry. During the end sequence, I got the best ending for Jacobstown where the cure for Nightkin Schizophrenia is found immediately. I thought that end was tied to having Keene stay in town.

Salvaged PA was deliberately stripped from what I recall.
Either way, I like to imagine that the NCR uses parts from the captured T-45d to fix up and repair T-51b and Advanced Power Armor. The salvaged T-45 then takes on a new life as being a heavy armor for short-term shock troops and long-term sentries.

I thought for awhile about a legion companion. This is definitely autistic and fetishy. Feral woman raised by nightstalkers, found by the Legion. She's not considered human really, unable to speak english, too wild to do slave work or be breeding stock. However she does have affinity with the hounds, who naturally defend her (Animal Friend perk). She is trainable and becomes rather useful in tracking and hunting, even viciously attacking roaming NCR troops. She eventually is given the name Ferox and becomes Caesar's personal pet. She'd take up the same slot as Rex or ED-E, only speaks in growls. High agility. Walks and runs on all fours. Maybe I'll draw her one day. If I ever learned how to mod, I'd use the spore carrier skeleton for her initial animations.

>>566551006
I feel like a cool Legion waifu companion would basically just be unga bunga Dark Samus. She doesn't talk, she's brutal, calculated, heavily armored and too formidable for the Legion guys to overwhelm. Bear in mind Legionaries are too incompetent to overwhelm a single female NCR veteran ranger in the arena. Maybe it would make sense for her to be misogynistic (despite being a woman), it has happened in the past like with Florence Nightingale for example. Maybe she hates women because she hates weakness, and maybe she hates herself too. Maybe the only thing she cares about is lawlessness being eradicated.
Idk, it's hard to make a believable female Legion character because of how over-the-top sexist the Legion is, but if this was a character that was considered during development, they could've gotten their own questline to reform the Legion, maybe similar to Veronica's arc with the BoS.
>>
>>
>>566552859
my idea for Ferox's quest is whether or not you return her to the Legion, or you bring her to another group like the Followers, or just set her free. She's grown accustom to the Legion and while it's not healthy whatsoever, she prefers this ending, even if it means her death. Followers is more bittersweet as they can never really domesticate her and she's constantly upset being away from those she's familiar with. Setting her free would be the best option.

>samurai power armor
Already have it.
I feel like if we had a Fallout game outside of the US, it wouldn't and shouldn't be the Fallout we know and love with power armor and ghouls and such, it's one of the reasons I haven't played FOLON yet. It was already lame as frick having 1&2's enemies like radscorpions and super mutants end up on the east coast, now imagine them showing up across continents.
I feel like a Japanese Fallout game should have different creatures and equipment, satirize different things, feature different weapons and landscapes and such, and at that point why even call it Fallout. Then, especially with Japan, you run into the problem of it being somewhat tasteless to depict a bombed-out Nippon 200 years later after Japan got nuked twice IRL.
The more interesting game in my opinion would be Fallout: China. You already have a bunch of established lore about the PLA, you have early prototypes like the Communist power armor (although this should be incredibly rare in-game), and you have other cool stuff like the Chinese stealth suits, Chimera tanks, etc. Not to mention that you could also satirize the imperial legacy of China similarly to how Fallout already criticizes American expansionism and parochialism.
>>
>>566564729
I've been playing London recently. There are no radscorpions, super mutants, or power armor, they took care not to have anything like that.
Regardless I don't think Fallout should leave America. You can tell new stories with different states, but to have a game in China feels like its drifting too far away.
Maybe there could be a Chinese faction in a game that's taken over, could work well if we get a game in California or Alaska. They've toyed with the idea of having the Chinese in 76, but never really did much with it

Well I finally hunted down all the Tardises in Fallout London.
For how obsessed Fallout fans seem to be with Doctor Who with stuff like Fallout Who Vegas and all the crap I went through to find all these, this was pretty medicore. Just find the 15 boxes around the world and then you go to a final one, get a dalek gun, and then the Tardis teleports away.
Isn't it always upsetting when there's a cool weapon in Fallout but it's just plain not viable? It's a cool gun, makes Dalek beam sounds and always crits like the alien blaster, but still manages to do only half the damage of my current gun and only holds 3 shots compared to 20. My dick is rock hard at the thought of Fallout New Vegas in the F4 Creation engine with 76 assets modded in. There's so many cool armors and designs in 76, they doesn't deserve to be stuck in a multiplayer game (or 4 for that matter).
>>
>>
>>
>>566667071
Honestly over the years the idea of an NV running on the F4 engine has lost its appeal for me. Currently well-modded NV is much more stable, plays better and looks better. The only thing I miss is building settlements and F76 armour ports.
And speaking of the 76 ports, provided Hitman doesn’t ditch it again, NV has every chance of getting a full port of all the creatures from the 76 well before Fallout 4, which currently only has three or four of them. https://youtu.be/5RNja77EYyo?si=HwlYpRx6grjYh_1k

Killing the division heads seems like something the Enclave would do, but yeah Dr Armstrong comes kind of out of nowhere. There's also the "Destroy the Institute" quest if you fail the stealth mission, which honestly feels like a better finale imo
>>
There's a few mods that overhaul the Diamond City interior, but are their any that fortify the outer perimeter? As of now there is like five turrets and four guys walking around with pipe guns, and a couple raider tier barricades.
>>
>>566667071
I installed a whole bunch of those backports that add the weapons and skins and workshop items and now my game just feels like it has too much bloat. Every time I see some character wearing some Atom Shop clothes or using a Pepper Shaker I just feel regret for installing those in the first place
>>
>>566673701
Truth be told, I feel exactly the same way. It's been nearly 11 years, if we were getting it, we should've gotten in many years ago back when F4 was recent. Part of me is just curious about a FNV (or even F3) remake in the 4 engine, because things like weight sliders/the settlement system/F4 weapon mods/etc would be insanely cool in an RPG like New Vegas where you're given so much more freedom over your character. Those mechanics, to me at least, are a projection of your character's personality and build, and Fallout 4's narrative is incredibly limiting in this aspect.
I want to build NCR camps, turn old camps into casinos for Mr. House to profit from, customize my Lucky 38 suite, add a scope to ANY weapon I want. There are mods that add something like the settlement system, but it's just not the same without the variety offered by 4/76.
>>
>>566673701
New Vegas has fucking spoiled me with the cars. Now constantly sprinting all over the Wasteland in Survival mode isn't so exciting anymore.
I wish someone could port the vehicles to 3 proper without the need for TTW. Course I don't know how well the cars would work with how bumpy 3's terrain is but still.

Skywind is the only "old game in new game" that looks like it will actually release. F4NV just doesn't have as much drive because, unlike Skyrim, Fallout 4 has no redeeming qualities so I understand nobody wanting to actually develop it.

Skywind looks amazing and it will make Skyrim obsolete because Skyrim is a shitty sandbox and has shitty writing.
That was the hope behind F4NV: Get rid of the shitty Fallout 4 stuff and go back to a good game.
>>
>Morrowind but with shitty amateur voice acting and without any of the mods that have been released for it over the years
Why would anyone want to play that?
>>566722462
>That was the hope behind F4NV
I really don’t think that a standard NV inside 4 would be any better than a well-modded NV or 4. And I don’t think it’ll get nearly as many mods as even 4 let alone NV. I mean, we literally have the example of Enderal for Skyrim, which is in every way better than the standard Skyrim, yet it still only gets a fraction of the mods and attention that the standard Skyrim gets. Or Fallout London
So I don’t think all these big mods will become a big thing, for the same reason that we’re all stuck playing these old games forever.
>Big new game/mod has come out
>People played it
>There aren’t enough mods for it, so everyone went back to playing their go-to game
>No one’s modding this new game/big mod because hardly anyone’s playing it

The only thing that keeps me coming back to Fallout 4 is the sandbox gameplay and settlement building, which are lacking in the base game and require mods to be any fun. So we’re bringing all of that over to New Vegas, and we’re back to square one with the better map but missing the very thing that made Fallout 4 worth playing. I’m also pretty sure the F4NV developers said they wouldn’t be adding settlement building to their mod (along with a whole host of other red flags like rewriting quests and adding new ones) which really doesn’t inspire confidence.

Given their access to what are essentially prewar military armories, training, etc. Is it likely that the Talon Company, Gunners, etc are or were at some point proxies for the Enclave? I remember reading somewhere either a note or holotape that mentions the Gunners working for an unknown party and Talon Company friendly with Enclave troopers but I might be schizophrenic.

Why do 99% of NV fan artists forget the legion has access to modern military equipment, and it's just the fresh slave soldiers that are sent in with machetes, spears, and breach loading shotguns?
>>
>>566788119
You don't understand. These are LEGION badasses, they aren't just randos. Their melee prowess and high damage threshold makes them competent enough to defeat battalions of NCR troopers armed with ARs and salvaged power armor. Ever see a Legion centurion with a power armor pauldron? Just know that he was able to defeat a NCR soldier wearing salvaged T-45d without breaking a single sweat. Millions, probably billions of heavily-armored, armed to the teeth, NCR soldiers were DESTROYED by Legion badasses with machetes.
The Enclave are simply no match for gorilla tactics.
>>
File: 1474483645191.png (457.2 KB)
>>566790185
Well realistically, the Enclave isn't waddling up to a bunch of Legionaries. They're firebombing them from vertibirds or using artillery from 10 miles away
>>
>>566790185
95% of Fallout fans are lorelets. Even if the artist themselves isn't a lorelet, the rest of the internet is. If people see the Legion with laser rifles and power armor, they're going to think it's some retarded fanfiction bullshit because that's not how the Legion are presented in the game. In the game, the Legion are presented as savages wearing football gear and wielding machetes.
>>
>>
Five old geezers in APA manage to make Caesar quiver in his boots, meanwhile the Mojave is a meat grinder for soldiers with fully automatic ARs and salvaged gear.
Like, what the hell. Why are the NCR so retarded? It's almost like they didn't gain anything from defeating the BoS or salvaging what was left from the oil rig/Navarro. The East Coast Brotherhood are extremely retarded, but they at least managed to build new things from what they learned from the Enclave (the Prydwen is proof of this).
The Mojave would've been better off under the Brotherhood.

>If you mention Birds of a Feather I am going to kill you, btw.
Why? That quest shows the Legion is not averse to equipping their men with advanced weaponry, energy weapons included. They're not luddites, they just don't like relying on anything other than their blades or fists.
>>
>>566793231
When you side with the Legion, everyone starts mentioning that the NCR are sending in the big guns from way back west. During Hoover Dam, you can actually see this. Certain elite units are wearing salvaged power armor. You can speak to Hanlon about the kind of equipment the NCR considers the best they could get their hands on.
>They have the best equipment the NCR can get its hands on, power armor salvaged from our war with the Brotherhood.
>Techs strip out the joint servos so you don't need special training to wear it.
Take a moment to digest that. The NCR are so utterly fucking retarded that they can't wear power armor when you can frequently find raiders in Fallout 3/4 wear it. Excluding the obvious lore incongruities with PA training though, I cannot believe that the NCR didn't find anything more useful than a bunch of energy weapons and power armor at the Oil Rig / Navarro. The Enclave were a scientific bunch, they would've had some projects that they were working on. Remember, the original lore was that they created APA post-war. The NCR could've continued those projects and become a stronger force, but instead they're barely a match for the Legion, who I think, require immense suspension of disbelief to consider anywhere close to an equivalent threat to the Enclave/BoS.
>>
>>
>>566794284
>Excluding the obvious lore incongruities with PA training though
Why would you exclude that? Power Armor training is the entire reason NCR Salvaged Power armor is even a thing. Obsidian was straight-up trying to accommodate this piece of lore Bethesda introduced to justify players not being able to steal the armor of every BoS member they came across in Fallout 3. This rule Bethesda broke in Fallout 3 itself as well in 4 and onward.
>>
>>566794709
PA training is basically just a clusterfuck of bad game design, at least in regards to how it's implemented in Fallout 3. I understand that Obsidian were trying to accommodate it, but frankly, they should've just ignored it. Jsawyer mod had the right idea of removing it and replacing it with a perk that adds a buff when in power armor.
Fallout 3 is inconsistent with itself. You can find raiders wearing power armor in random encounters meanwhile the player character needs to be taught by some Brotherhood field sergeant guy to wear it. Raiders in the Pitt can't wear power armor though, even though they have an exact replica of Ashur's T45. You get PA training from a simulation where you can't or don't even wear power armor.
The right move would've been to just say screw it.
>>
>>566795174
>they should've just ignored it. Jsawyer mod had the right idea of removing it and replacing it with a perk that adds a buff when in power armor.
I agree and I am very glad Sawyer changed that in his mod (even if I never use PA in NV).

How did Fallout 76's original Brotherhood of Steel know exactly what the logo looked like?
Taggerdy only talked to Maxson over the radio and made her own version of the BoS in Applachia, but when it comes to the logo would've had no idea how to get it to look exactly right.
All Maxson would've really been able to do is say "the logo has these wings with a sword in the middle and there's some gears above that.
It would've been a nice touch if this logo got a lot of the specifics wrong

It's a couple of things. Half the problems with Freeside are because House promises heaven on earth, and when retards fall for it and lose all their caps they wash out directly into Freeside with nothing to their name.

One of the things that really undercuts the House ending is that we don't even get an ending slide that plainly describes what House does with the Followers. You would think that they would be mentioned in Arcade's endings at least, but nope. Maybe it's because NV had a rushed development. If you're doing the Independent ending, Yes Man says this:
>Well, some of Mr. House's projections predict a {reading} "moderate probability of civil instability subsequent to the NCR being driven from the Vegas region."
>One of the "mitigating contingencies" he planned was to enlist the Followers to provide increased medical aid throughout the region.
What we can extrapolate from the information we're given in this and Arcade's slides (particularly the one pertaining to House's ending if Arcade remains an Enclave remnant) is that Freeside becomes stable after a period of short-term instability, but at the cost of many lives. Many are wiped out, like the Kings for example, by House's securitrons, and Freeside briefly becomes a warzone. However, the Followers remain and presumably secure funding from House to make sure that people's needs are met. Essentially, Freeside comes under strict martial law by House's securitrons, and it stays a warzone for a bit, but it eventually settles at the cost of its freedom.
Freeside becomes far more stable, because having to walk through a slum where you might get your brain splattered on the pavement by vicious chem addicts obviously poses a problem for him trying to encourage more customers to populate the Strip, customers that he'll likely need after the NCR withdraw and take their money with them.
It's really up to you whether or not that makes it better or worse, but I think many would see it as a better outcome for the general population. They're getting better healthcare, safer streets, etc. They're still dirt poor and the place still probably stinks of Brahmin shit from all the Jet, but they have their lives at least.

Fallout 76 is better then 3 and 4 because it has:
The largest enemy variety from scortchbeasts to Wendigos.
The best perk system wow you're telling me I can pick and edit my perks and special stats anytime I want without any son retarded excuse of "balance"??? And did I forget to mention legendary perks???
Massive Weapon and armor/PA variety and different choices to mod and create yourself a defining build since you can asd legendary stars or effects into your equipment raging from higher clip size to giving your enemies poison in aoe effect.
Massive quality of life changes from requiring caps to fast travel since fast travel from previous games is broken and has no consequences to looting all corpses of their items in a large area by single button.
Fallout 76 has the best vats system just like fast travel vats was just a get out of jail free card but now without the timestop and being real time its actually fun and engaging.
And better story yes fallout 76 has a more engaging story then 3 & 4 why? Because its all about destroying the scotchbeasts and plauge rather then just "muh find son and dad muh"
Overall with these accepts makes it completely destroy 3 and 4 by a landslide no debate and even makes new Vegas look barebones if we compared these games without any bias.

3 and NV are the pinnacle of the franchise. 4 and 76 are shit and 1 and 2 aren't very good because they're boomer games built on limited hardware. 1/2 on the NV engine might be great, but I finished 1 only once and it felt like a demo for 2 and I dropped 2 very early on. Of course 76 would be the peak of the series. The worldspace alone is phenomenal.
None of that means anything though when its an MMO though. You can't mod the fancy worldspace to add meaningful content, all you can do is wait a year for Bethesda to crap out the bare minimum.
76 would be a fine game to just play through and completely ignore the scoreboard stuff, but recent updates have been blemishing it. The base storyline is really good, Wastelanders is servicable and so is the Brotherhood stuff I guess. But Burning Springs is so goddamn embarassing its dragging the rest of the game down simply by being in it.
>>
>>566827313
Oh and also another gripe I have is that a lot of the content is meant to be locked behind grinding. In a normal Fallout game, you'd get the T-65 Power Armor for finishing the questline with the Secret Service, instead you do events for a literal real-world month.
You'd get the Gauss Minigun if you do enough quests for the raiders, instead you get it for grinding reputation and gold for a month.
And god help you if you need any of the stamp plans
I've had thoughts every once in a while of just trying to do a new character in 76 but it's just meant to be anti-fun by design. That's what an MMO is.
>>
>>
>>
>>566815575
This but unironically except for the New Vegas part since while the gameplay isn't incredible the RPG elements are great which is the main appeal in the first place.
3 is a dogshit RPG with dogshit gameplay.
4 is just a bad looter shooter with barely passable gameplay, it can't even be called an RPG so it perplexes me normalfaggot retards that loved it got mad at 76 which was just 4 again but with way more looter shooter content. The only thing missing was a badly written railroaded story but I refuse to believe anyone would be retarded enough to care about it.
3 is just a shit game, 4 is barely passable looter shooter.
76 is just 4 but better in every way that matters for a looter shooter.
Does it make 76 good? Fuck no, but it's still the best Bethesda Fallout because the bar is just that fucking low with these incompetent retards.

>Burning springs sucks
Really? I thought the story was way more interesting then the bos storyline and wastelanders and on par with mainline storyline
The rust king is an actual villain that makes me terrified compared to just shooting big monster he's basically hank horrigan if he was smart and cunning the major thing is the burning springs storyline is incomplete just like the bos storyline. Also I think bounties help the less grindy nature aspect of getting legendaries also radhogs are cute and the west coast should have them.
But I do agree flatwoods and the upcoming infestations update isn't really all that great its just mostly to fix an issue of players not getting 4 star legendaries which these updates help but should not be considered "major"
>real world month
I think I can agree and disagree with this getting rep for both raiders and settlers is time consuming since the only best ways to get rep is too do their daily quests and do their public events which is only one each I do think if the devs add more public events that you can earn rep this wouldn't be an issue. But I highly disagree with getting gold bullion that is easy to grind since public events, bounties, daily events for both factions, the wayward vendor if you finished the wasteland, daily ops, and scoreboard season. I know you can only get 400 a day besides events tho. With some of the plans you get minerva that limited time vendor that appears only for a limited and comes back again solves that issue in some ways, Because for me and others it helps to grind less without finishing a questline and high rep for a faction but I don't think minerva sells t-65 she does sell the gauss weaponry tho which are good weapons.
As for stamps I agree tho scoreboard can help lessen the grind and even then stamp plans are niche at best.
You can see their trying to lessen the grind aspect of mmo if anything fallout 76 is the least grindy mmo game ever compared to others its not even a comparison

>Fallout new Vegas rpg elements are the best
I half agree if were talking about dialogue and choices yes I whole heartedly agree but if were talking about perks and stats when it comes to your build on the character in combat or other actions besides talking then absolutely not I really think the perk system in fallout 76 is more rpg then New Vegas and 76 is the first game you change your race with you able to play as a ghoul with different perks and traits compared to being a human. Possibly in the future we can play as a supermutant and more but will have to wait and see!

Npcs fine I agree new Vegas did that a better job but plot? I was more talking about the fact that there's fuck-all in the Burning Springs with no interiors everywhere. The story was ok, but its the region itself that matters most and Burning Springs and Skyline Valley are just devoid of content. Can't even go across the river ffs.
>You can see their trying to lessen the grind aspect of mmo

I'm sure you'll say that the nu-scoreboard requiring rank 150 instead of 100 is also for the players right?
Honestly I'm just pretty upset that the Bigfoot and Infestations are separate updates. That easily could've been one update's worth of content and I would've rolled my eyes at the filler of it, but it would've been acceptable. This ain't some passion project. Shows like this always rely on spending the bare minimum to get the most return back

>I'm sure you'll say that the nu-scoreboard requiring rank 150 instead of 100 is also for the players right?
NTA but playing 76 without 1st is basically impossible for me. I'm not spending money just for the privilege of grinding more to 150, and the way they lock storage space behind paying is scummy. As a "free" player (I was gifted the game in a giveaway back in March), I will be getting to rank 100 tomorrow, but the game is really pushing for me to pay money and it's irksome.

Mods with active modders were already updated to work with the anniversary edition
Most older ones work with game of the year edition nowadays
Some modders refuse to work with newer versions and are still modding for the downgraded version
I still use ol' game of the year and only some niche mods don't work with it

Feels like there's enough pictures of polluted water you wouldn't need to generate an a.i. image for your mod?
I personally would have just used an image of the dirty water model as the picture, that's what I do when putting mods on the internet.

Some modders prefer to use gen images as of late. Preference I guess
Also looking at his other mods I just realized I use a couple of them (mostly settlement and body ones)

Alright just had to shitcan my FO4 modlist because it was irrevocably raped by the update and downgrading didn't fix it. I'm not building this shit from scratch again.
whats my options moving forward? I want realistic ballistics and damage calculation, new weapons, reworked perks, Sim Settlements (so I can finally fucking finish the questline) and graphical enhancements. Are there mod packs that cover this, and can these modpacks be used on Linux?

The weird thing about bethesda power armor to me was their need to increase the number. Like we had the t-45d and the t-51b which was supposed to be the best armor.... do they understand that still leaves them a theoretical 49 different power armors and about 1,300 variants?
Check out the t-47g or a new pair of t-51a armor in this building. Give a special quest that ends with finding an "ancient" t-26 that works like the power armor did in fallout 3/nv. Even the t-60 could easily have been called the t-50 and no one would have cared.
>>
>>566942321
to add to this. I preferred the simplicity of it. once you got t51 b or enclave armor in fallout 2, that was the best and you knew you had the best armor. then they just had a simple upgrade of hardening to get more stronger.
now since fallout 4 power armor is like a car that I need all these accessories and upgrades and shit, and there's 20 different kinds that each excells in one area and lacks in another so you have to choose based on the situation your in.
I don't want to have to think that much about the damn armor.

Now that I think about it, Veronica would be built like a brick shithouse. She’s proficient in CQC and her dad was a Paladin. She’s a scribe but she’s also an engineer and tinkerer who would’ve been subject to some hard labor: repairing power armor, tinkering with gatling lasers, lugging heavy machinery and toolkits around, getting down and deep in pre-war generators, etc. She’s more blue-collar than bookish. I wonder who wore the pants in her relationship with Christine.

The mods I tried to get for FO4 a couple a months ago before the latest update were for the original version. At least half of them were. Now I don't even want to know how bad things are with 3 version of the game.

Yeah, I think you’re probably correct in that assessment now that I think about it, but I imagine their dynamic to be not unlike that of an old married couple. Christine is stoic and disciplined. Veronica is anything but professional; she’s witty, sarcastic and loves girly things like dresses and such. They’re both tomboys, but Christine is the tsundere type and Veronica is much more genki.
They’re probably able to bring out different facets of one another. Veronica needs someone to guide her like Elijah once did, and Christine needs some levity.

6 years is honestly such a long time in hindsight. I can’t even remember saying that or even what kind of mindset I was in at the time. Maybe I was giggling like a schoolgirl at the thought of being a contrarian online. I don’t think I’ve ever truly meant what I said about New Vegas though. I’ve always had a high opinion of the game. It’s one of the various reasons I stopped using the trip. This is perhaps one of my favorite games ever made. Being a negative nancy fucking sucks.
And like, I funpost frequently and say things I don’t mean all the time, but it’s just not even really funny. Just sort of lame. So lame that I probably wouldn’t have even used the trip again if this place wasn’t quiet enough for a fart to pass silently in the wind. I’ve been posting without it for years, so this is like a one-off.

>wonder who wore the pants in her relationship with Christine.
Recall that Christine is one of the shortest characters in NV.
For as much as Veronica is a quirked up white girl and Christine is fairly straight laced and hardnosed, I think Veronica was the butch and Christine was the femme.

I mean relatively speaking, of course.
>Veronica and Christine are natural lesbians.
IDK I can hold hands with Christine with a male courier and her dialogue gets kinda flirty with the player regardless of gender. That just might be Avellone's writing shining through, though.
>>
>>
>>566972423
Natural lesbians are bi. It's like how men naturally like both girls and traps. They are "lesbian" as a status while dating, not an inherent "orientation." Now that I think of it, that is to say Veronica and Christine aren't lesbians during the game unless your courier is a female.
That's my perspective at least.

I can tell that they're a women. Either they've de-transitioned, have damaged vocal cords (via testosterone or otherwise), or they're a severe chain smoker. But frankly, it's not even that bad. Fitting for the universe, actually.

they could definitely emote more, but i think their voice is quite striking and works well for fallout. all that dust, dirt, chemicals, and radiation in the air is definitely going to effect the vocal cords

what is causing this? is it standard skyrim behavior?
no mods that affect males, only 3ba, unique character, and obody, although I don’t see how those would affect the male NPCs.

>no real charisma checks or real benefits from a positive reaction modifier in Fo1
So it does nothing. The reaction stuff might as well be bugged since they never bothered to make it do anything
>>566982617
That's Fallout 2, by default in Fallout 1 you can carry all four companions at once
All things considered as long as you have high agility you'll do fine in Fallout 1. 6 is a little low

Oh right and also you don't really need to bother with barter
There's a reason why the casinos in New Vegas kick you out, it's because the ones in the original games didn't. If you get gambling to 100% you get infinite money

Is there any good transfer settlements that you guys have that you would be willing to share or recommend? I detest building in fallout 4 it never goes where I need to and I someone deleted the floor to my house in sanctuary and now I have to live on dirt. It actually pisses me off.

SS2 has finally added a feature that lets you build all settlements automatically before the actual game begins.

https://www.nexusmods.com/profile/Aurelianis/mods?sortBy=updatedAt&gam eId=1151
https://www.nexusmods.com/profile/greekrage/mods
Then I start plopping SS2 building to fill up the place while I build up defenses (the best part of building settlements)

I've already started the game but that's good to know for next time.
>>567018416
This is good I like the look of rebuild and is exactly what I wanted but I don't want to do ANY building at all as I stated previously so those transfers are good so thank you for including them. I was planning on making either starlight or mechanist my new main base since red rocket and concord is messed up for me.

Does anyone here know if there's a specific reason Christina Morales' bit on Radio New Vegas rarely triggers?
She has an interview if you retrieve her husband's corpse, but I have only heard it twice.
>It was such an incredible thing he did, putting his life on the line like that for my husband. It's not something most people would do.
>Esteban's going home now. I can't tell you what that means to me.
