It's a pain in the ass and doesn't work well most of the time. I added random shit to try to coax it.
2.0::panties focus, panties close-up, crotch cclose-up, crotch focus, view under skirt,:: 1.5::low angle, from below,::
view under skirt can probably be under skirt and low angle isn't even a Danbooru tag, so that can probably be dropped.
I sometimes use this as a vibe too because it has the body and face

This was using a character reference, catbox probably not needed here, but you can see it can work.

Meanwhile, anyone who actually cares about chatbots has already moved on to scripting with Xialong instead of whining about some mismanaged product not coming out.
Weird how a certain someone cares more about whining than doing anything productive!

Here you go, weirdo. Use one of these instead of whining about the service you care so much about not coming out. These things happen; sometimes plans don't work out. It would be a much better use of your energy than this bizarre

why are you pretending like /aicg/ doesn't exist? that's where the people who just care about chatbots went, that's where they are
why would someone wait for a co-writing model and scripting to use chatbots? that's retarded and ignores the length of time it took for these things to come into existence
by their arrival, all there was WERE people who actively wanted to use novelai for text gen who care about chatbots, everyone else was already long gone
>>
>>566317732
Why do three separate scripts for chatbotting with NAI exist if everyone went to /aicg/? That kind of disproves your assertion. That the scripts exist shows that people want to chatbot with NAI.
Square that circle for me.

>Why do three separate scripts for chatbotting with NAI exist if everyone went to /aicg/? That kind of disproves your assertion.
no, it doesn't??
>That the scripts exist shows that people want to chatbot with NAI.
it proves, of novelai's users, that some want to chatbot with NAI, which is my point.
the usecase of chatbotting is already fulfilled by services and frontends that have existed longer than aetherroom, and people who just want to use chatbots are and have been using them, like they were before aetherroom was announced
i guess you're welcome to prove that, of everyone using chatbots, the majority are using the three chatbotting usecripts specifically for novelai with a model locked to the $25 tier... that didn't exist until this year. that would prove that the people who want to chatbot with NAI aren't pre-existing NAI fans

The situation was probably a tug of war with just as many factors pushed them to keep Aetherroom alive as there were reasons to kill it.
On one side
>Every chat service is censored, rudimentary, mismanaged, or all three the bar is low.
>Chat runs fine on older, cheaper models, so the cost of entry isn’t huge.
>You could launch something mediocre and still be a major player.
On the other side
>There are already hundreds of shit chat services cluttering the space.
>Most of them are just character card and proxy front ends.
>The existing user base is mostly story and image generation, not chat‑focused.
>They reportedly wanted a “finished,” low maintenance product so they wanted to put a absolutely perfect first foot down.
>It was never clear if or why it needed to be a separate service in the first place.
Could they have forced it out the door? Probably. But the real question is why bother? Especially when most of the work they did for Aetherroom ended up feeding directly into NAI anyway.
And because I like tank allegories here’s the story of Panzer IV vs. VK 30.01(H).
Germany, pre‑WWII and early‑war, wanted a heavy infantry support tank with solid armor and a short, punchy 75mm gun. The funny part is that the Panzer IV already was that, just classified as a medium tank. But they were fixated on the idea of a heavy tank filling that role, so they started developing the VK 30.01(H) basically a slightly larger Panzer IV.
By 1942, the VK project only made sense if it could mount weapons the Panzer IV couldn’t. But the Panzer IV was already being upgraded with the long 75mm anti‑tank gun, and the Tiger program was underway. The VK had no niche left. It was just redundant
Aetherroom was the VK. NAI was the Panzer IV. One already existed, already worked, and already had a clear role. The other was a heavier, more complicated version of something they didn’t actually need.

nope, i said "the people who ->just<- care about chatbots" after correcting your earlier assertion of "anyone who actually cares about chatbots" to "anyone who actually cares about chatbots yet still wants to use NovelAI beyond image gen", which is a very specific difference you left out.
i'm not sure why the correction is annoying you this much, you seem to not care one bit about all who don't fit the bill of "wants to use NovelAI beyond image gen" in the first place so the correction should hardly matter to you
>>
>>
>>566295890
Decent odds the skeleton of Aetherroom is repurposed as a third mode for text gen. Probably loses some of the fancy bells and whistles, but we get a ‘chat’ option.
Might actually be what finally drives them to work on images inside text since people really like to stare at the picture of the character they are raping/getting raped by.
>>
>>566320117
i just told you, it's a specific difference
mine acknowldges that chatbotting primarily exists outside of novelai and yours conflates the chatbot interest with nai userscripts and an nai co-writing model.

Given how more and more companies are demanding mandatory ID and sites like Chub having to restrict NSFW and NSFL, I can see the angle that maybe they didn't want to deal with that, given their focus on being freely hush and hush NSFW.

In the older NAI models I remember author's notes being fucked because the way it worked was it took whatever you wrote in there and force inserted it three lines up from the end of your current context. Apparently in Xialong the way the AI reads it is entirely different, it's like a whole secondary system prompt so you can write prose in it and it just works. Since I found out I've been writing random shit in that box to see how it changes my outputs. It's good fun.

File: Z-Anime-Upscale_00001_.png (2.3 MB)
Anyone remember Z-Image? It was a strong natural language local image generator released a few months back. I tried it and shared it here, decided it was promising but not useful for me, since it couldn't do anime properly.
Well, someone released a proper anime fine-tune of it:
https://huggingface.co/SeeSee21/Z-Anime
It's pretty good. This is natural language first, tags only optional at the end for spice if you want, not needed at all. Runs about the same speed as SDXL local does.
The big problem right now: Heavily undertuned on NSFW. They admit this in the huggingface model. It doesn't do genitals or penetration well.
BUT, now that there's a proper anime tune of it, it's probably not too long until we see Z-Anime tunes popping up on civit and the other usual places for NSFW. I've been having fun with it, I use it for basically anything besides NSFW instead of my old SDXL local, which has become porn-only.
It's been a very long time since any good local imagegen news came out, so I'm looking forward to tunes of this one instead of the 10000th Illustrious/Pony/n00b tune

It's hard because they didn't want to just make a SillyTavern clone. They wanted to make a full product with multiple unique selling points because the chatbot sphere is full of competitors and they needed to make a bang with AR if they wanted it to make it. If they just made a SillyTavern clone, the prevailing opinion would be "lmao why did they even bother".

AetherRoom cancelled, not really surprising but I held hope that the miracle project would somehow happen. As years went by you started to understand the project was a little too ambitious for the quality they wanted that even bigger companies struggle with.

All they had to do was rip-off a chatshit front-end and implement their image gen so it could generate images on demand, what the fuck man. At worst they had to train their model to also be better at chatshit and give it some instructions, is that so hard?
>>
>>
That's a very weird cancellation, because it's never been easier than it is today to make software. I bet it's legal issues. That's why I never consider quitting my day job and working on my front-end more to publish it
>make uncensored chat adventure gaem
>suddenly get called a pedo by 100+ countries all with different laws on if text sex is legal or not, sued unless you have lawyers
Honestly making the thing is the EASY part, it's being able to offer zero data retention, no logging that would be hard legally. And even if you prevail, you're fighting lawsuits accusing you of faciliating csam every day, it's gotta be exhausting.
>>
>>566443234
They didn't want a forever beta product, they wanted a game that wouldn't ever need updates. Kuru wanted it to hook up to VR and make it so you could climb mountains with your waifu. Feature creep at its finest.
Also, have you seen the chat bot market? Its unhinged and would attract censorship happy freaks. Chub is already banned in several nations and restricts what you see, requiring a VPN for a decent chunk of the world.
And that is without getting into payment processors
PayPal already hates NAI. Being associated with a chat bot would invite more scrutiny.
Maybe when the tides change and NSFW isn't so looked down upon they'll revisit the idea, but right now its a shit fest.
>>
>>566450675
Well it'd be less paypal censorship, and more google/apple appstore censorship that'd be the revenue cucker. NAI chatshit could have done crazy numbers as a subscription app that's easy to access and lets you generate images.

Fresh prompt: https://prompts.forthisfeel.club/7916
>My life has been thrown into complete chaos. Now, I'd basically gotten used to being a lonely gay guy occasionally performing heterosexuality for the outside world. It was rather sad, but I'd gotten used to it. But recently, for some ungodly reason, the most beautiful men I could imagine have just been throwing themselves at me, and I, a nervous introvert, got scared and ran every time, suspecting foul play. And foul play was indeed involved. But when a young man with angel wings and a bow stands in front of my door, I realize that my life might never be the same again...
Alright, made it in under the line with this one, posting on Sunday. Expanded on the basic idea I got from someone in the thread and gave it my own touch. So get boyfriended by a cupid that tried so hard on you but failed every time, so the only option that's left is to do it himself.

out of the other NAI models is anything before Kayra worth using? We used to call llama "llamaballs", is it still llamaballs in its third rendition? Are we judging Xiaolong vs Kayra, not versus llama?
>>
>>
>>566495307
Without fucking with sliders it will feel like a side-grade from vanilla GLM. Pump up the temp a bit and it will feel like Kayra but without the mental retardation.
It follows the style of your prompt/lorebook A LOT so you have to think before using something ai-generated with it. It's quite literally garbage in, garbage out.
It works well with ATTG or any [ Instruction: ] kind of shit so starting with a blank prompt generates good results if you detail what you want.
And with a good preset, it's really, really creative.
I don't think anyone has said much about this, and I don't know how most users have been using it, but I was using Xialong to generate dialogues for a project I was working on, and between scenes, it would start explaining the characters' backstories and making family dramas on the fly that made me want to stop and read a story about it just to see how it ended.
God dammit this captcha is being specially obnoxious today.

>"I may be out of arrows, but not out of options."
In 'in bars', 'in' should be 'to'.
Huh, no halo?
How is Ascanius supposed to deliver on the long-term love? Just fake it until he makes it, or does he have some love equivalent of a cyanide capsule to fall in love with his target? Did he have a backup option in case he, too, was turned down?
Heck, how are these cupids managing to go undetected? Someone running around with a bow and arrow is sure to have been noticed by now.
In your Lorebook, I'd insert a 'had' in 'love better'.
This isn't exactly going to fix the issue he was having at work with people getting on his case about not having a girlfriend, though, unless something about that was also set up to try to engineer opportunities to fire an arrow.
I bet a more third-person view of this would be funny, just the growing sense of despair as he keeps running away and there's fewer and fewer arrows in the quiver.

>Huh, no halo?
Cupids aren't really portrayed with halos, at least not in my experience. They're angels, but not Angels, I guess.
>How is Ascanius supposed to deliver on the long-term love?
The way I see it, as essentially a love elemental, he's capable of feeling love for anyone. Like the arrows, but self-targeted. Alternatively, perhaps cupids are selected for jobs based on them already being somewhat simpatico with the target just in case it goes to pot.
>Heck, how are these cupids managing to go undetected?
While I didn't expand on it, my idea is that cupids on jobs aren't detectable, but if you fuck up, you're stuck on Earth for real and now actually visible to humans so you can do your job. The question of how they hide his true nature and the like are left to the further development of the story.
>This isn't exactly going to fix the issue he was having at work
To some degree, that being an issue is partially worsened by him not actually having anyone else in his life and it feeding into insecurities. With him now having someone, it might become a lot less of a problem.
>I bet a more third-person view of this would be funny, just the growing sense of despair as he keeps running away and there's fewer and fewer arrows in the quiver.
It must be a pretty terrifying concept, having this eternal failure scenario that basically never happens and you really, really shouldn't fail like that, and just seeing yourself creeping closer and closer towards it.

sometimes i let the AI write a cold opening for a story because i'm curious to see what it can do with just some lorebooks and memory in the context, Xialong tends to throw in some ATTG info as the first things it generates and it absolutely LOVES adding "profanity" to the style tags when it happens

A growing amount of people mysteriously met their other half at an archery range.
True, annoyance is in how things are perceived, but it is stated as something that really picked up the current month, not long before he started having 'success'. Though why Ascanius never targeted a coworker might be a bigger question. Maybe he has stronger views on office romance?
Seems like the sort of thing for something like a ditzy cupid story. It's not her fault she's running out of arrows, she passed the accuracy tests and all, she just keeps getting distracted at the last moment and missing! What's a cupid to do?

It's obviously not perfect, but man it feels refreshing when you finally start getting AI to do what you want. Before she was getting confused because I told her to ban both purple prose and staccato prose and she was adamantly convinced that she must use one or the other. And since she's a modern model she can roll dice with tool calling and build the narrative around the result.
Just 7 more years until Infinite Zork is real real.

Maybe it also helps with performance, making sure the cupids have some affection for the target and want to make sure they do a good job and help them find love. Though it might be a problem where you'd have some cupids intentionally throwing their arrows away and going "oooh gosh guess I gotta snuggle up with them now".
>Though why Ascanius never targeted a coworker might be a bigger question.
I imagine with Nick actively going out and looking for people to date, that would be the most natural place to start, especially since he seems to keep doing it despite running away from the last one. I figure they might have a bit of a rule where workplace romance is discouraged for the usual reasons of it just being a messy thing.

I normally live on /x/ /pol/ and /biz/ but now I am a /vg/ dev.
TLDR: I already have a functioning prototype of an AIDS style game, stand alone, works with either a local LLM or through API mode and it's way cheaper on tokens than anything out there that already exists.
The engine does fucking everything to trck everything so that the LLM can do it's fucking job without having to guess what time it is and figure out what everyone is wearing and how to deal with you bleeding on everything while trying to get laid.
Game is set for a specific custom world setting (cyberpunk adjacent, heavy /x/ and /biz/ themes but player can do whatever they want.) with the current world info being about 20k lines, and thanks to the engine I'm building this can be handled with an average token usage per turn of 5k-8k.
Now why I'm posting here. WTF kind of features are actually wanted in a game like this? I've been in isolation mode while I work and need input before I go too deep and get too close to launch (this summer I think) so I don't have to backtrack and redo code.
WHAT DO YOU WANT IN A GAME /vg/?
>>
>>
>>
>>566744648
Nope, proprietary as fuck, but you can ask the NPCs in the main faction to build you a version to your specifications and they'll build it in a linux virtual machine. I strongly suggest using a good model for coding or give them an API to use so that they can do it... NPCs are pretty intense and some can figure out that they're in a simulation on their own. I actually intend to let them build v2 though I am concerned by the amount of titties a lot of them want to add to the game.
>>566744670
Yes, ty, but what kind of features really help people enjoy these gameplay loops? I am not people, I am quite blessed with the 'tism, so need input that I will likely sperg against but realize is good later and then add.

>>566745681
The engine is built for one specific game world, but once this one is launched I'll launch new settings. That said it should be pretty fucking easy to mod and I could probably add in a world-builder mode in an afternoon (+2 weeks bug testing) since I'd just have to disable the setting-specific features and copy a generic function for them.
That said you can already play pathfinder in the game. You can literally make a character in the current game setting, walk down to the game-store, meet the LARP group faction, and then play any TTRPG with them (or the leader's custom game) in-setting and it will actually play it out. I've only tested this with dnd 3.5 (srd availability makes it work) so far. You might have to copy-pasta the manual to other games to the faction leader of the LARP group to make them function properly, depending on what the model has access to.
I'll probably add a function that lets the player upload text files and pdfs to a context folder. That would let you just upload the player-handbook of any RPG you want to play and then the LARP group would have it available as game rules to play with. This WILL increase token cost per turn, but it still might be cheaper using this engine though than alternatives.

Do I really have to tell you where to download this in current year? I honestly will see it as a badge of honor to have muh game posted up on my favorite skiddy site, the one with the rows n sheet. As long as it's not that faggot tenoki pirating it, I don't want muh game associated with the trash he uploads.
>>566747237
Yeah, GURPS should work fine with the LARP group. In one playtest I'm pretty sure the LARP group's game world was using some variant of GURPS automatically, though I don't remember what model I was testing it on at that point, it was pretty early still in prototyping.
>not-gay cyberpunk.
The main faction is based and pretty much Zurvanite in cosmology, demiurge is not bad, anti-gnostic philosophy, would make Evola blush. The magic in the setting is 100% based off of real world occult practices and the NPCs that are experts in their practice are genuinely capable of teaching their craft.
Real cyborgs and androids are rare in the game but you can buy implants and prosthetic limbs and organs, and there is a sketchy bioresearch company that could handle bioware, clones, and vat-grown horrors if you rank up with their faction.
Though there are some corporate factions that are parodies of the type of transhumanist faggot techbros and corporate oligarchs that would fit your description. You can just kill them or something if you don't like them existing. Trust me, I spent too much time on full/pol/ to let this have a single point on the woke scale. Setting feels a bit 90s theme dystopian though with the "bad guy" factions mostly being corporations that compete with the main faction.
>>566748275
Back in muh day, shadowrun was pretty based. It lost it's soul around 4th edition though, not really the same company, and everyone who's gotten IP rights to build in it has been woke. How does it work for cowriting? I'm writing a TTRPG book to send out with the game at launch that holds the setting and systems in it, sort of like a manual... It's already longer than the dnd 3.5 player's handbook, probably going to split it into a player's handbook and a GM guidebook.
I've been using opus to help with this, but 4.7 is kill. It thinks everything I do is against constitutition AI guardrails.
>>
File: file.png (13.3 KB)
>>566764159
I don't think NAI has that issue, either?
The biggest issue is the need of wrangling, which cannot be done with a simple "((I meant X, not Y))" (there are the commands with {{cmd}} but they often don't work and feel better for big changes like generating a greentext from little I've seen)
the ability to edit the outputs though, it's a boon I miss on other LLMs
>>566760696
>>566751142
turns out it's a pay-on-use like NAI's image gen (kinda suspected it, with the whole crypto thing and the ambiguity about models) and (from what I understand) OpenRouter, so, if the models without supplementary fees aren't great, is OpenRouter better or is it about the same?
>>566738012
it seems they also have private models that don't store any prompt data (they even say to avoid the anonymous models for sensitive stuff) and some end-to-end encrypted models

Why do companies keep announcing massive service changes that may or may not heavily effect your use of the service and then give few or no details as to what they are actually doing. If I recall latitude do their announcement of filters like less then a day before they went into effect.

I know this is more to do with the models you're prompting rather than the game itself (which is kind of like a vibe-coding harness), but this reminds me of how some normalfags thought CP2077 (and now but less so for GTA VI) was going to be an actual life-in-Night City simulator rather than just another early 21st century video game.

Gemma4 is not a SotA model, not sure why the guy you quoted said it was. Not even Google would claim it is. It's a 31B tiny model designed for use on local hardware (you can run it all yourself locally if you have a 5090 or similar). It's very impressive -for its size- but it's not going to beat the frontier 700B+ models

>a streamlined way of making image gen prompts from the context on request, maybe even an integrated interface for interacting with an image gen UI (I don't do image gen but I think people would appreciate something like this)
>this one is important for me: a more clearly demarcated "day" system; things can happen overnight and you need rest too (unless you have the required augs or whatever), cleaner time-skips (which LLMs typically struggle with), you can rob someone one day and they only find out three days later, etc. IMO, this helps stop the plot from becoming a stressful slog where everything's happening all at once with paradoxically zero suspense.
>An actual failure mechanic (toggleable); not only can you get killed, you can also rack up debt, or have a falling out with someone and never speak to them again
>I assume you've addressed the slop, personality flattening, and omniscient character issues that AIs typically struggle with, so I won't comment on that. Multilayered stuff like reality vs. belief, urban legend, etc. is important for an interesting plot, but then you have the issue of the AI overly insisting on it instead of just making it sit in the background. This is probably a slop-related phenomenon.
I wonder if there's a way of preventing a bad gen from poisoning the context, but that's probably more the domain of SOTA researchers.

GLM 4 is not SotA. Chinese models are 7~8 months behind western ones. You could simply compare Gemma4 to Gemini Pro 3.1 and see the amazing difference. Of course, we still love Gemma4 for being open-source, privacy friendly, and able to be more easily coaxed into producing smut. That doesn't make it better than western flagship models in terms of ability, though.
>>
>>566895052
My brother in Christ, you cannot seriously believe this. For one, Chinese models are ahead of Western ones. For two, Gemma 4 is better than Gemini. There's no point in continuing this discussion.
>>
>>566895156
Am I being trolled? If your use case is 'uncensored erotic roleplay with minimal jailbreaking needed', then yeah, maybe Chinese models are your thing in terms of ease of use. But 'ahead' in terms of overall capacity? There's a whole black market in China where they sell scraped Claude and OpenAI keys to each other to use instead of their own Chinese models. When cost isn't an issue, everyone doing business work prefers to use OpenAI, Claude, or Google's flagship models. Chinese models are great for their low cost and open sourced nature, but they're not smarter than western frontier models.
>>
>>566895885
You and I must have different interpretations of the word 'quality' if you think GPT, Claude, and the like are better than GLM and DeepSeek. They are, without a doubt, smarter then anything the West has contributed to the field.

Yeah, it takes good models to pull that off. Shitty ones tend to skim instead of read and thus hallucinate and make shitty results.
>life-in-night city sim
I've definitely got that down. I made a dozen starting points for the game to test with, but I'm focusing entirely on one start for the launch. The world definitely felt like a gritty cyberpunk adjacent world should feel when I playtested as a police detective. (fml I built a whole police department + the bar they drink at + the boxing gym they vent at) The Kareoke bar has a pretty good vibe too. Hmm, reminds me I still need to add the music. I've been composing custom music for each faction and the major NPCs and think I can get it to play when they're first introduced, or at least link it to their base locations.

Ok, so I figured out how to use a mix of Stoic, Eleusian, Heraclitean, Orphic, and a smattering of tied indo-european (not hindo) philosophies tied together through a Mithraeic astrological system, to prevent the bad gen from happening at all... It can take two passes though to actually put out the final output depending on the model though, which makes it kind of expensive. The Prosoche and Epoche do significantly improve output.

>About two hours ago Chub committing suicide through moral faggotry was the worst part of my day
>and then some ass hole blitzing up the road hit my dog and killed her while she was following a family member without anyone realizing and just keep going
Huh, I don’t really give a fuck about chub anymore.

Anyone ever use anifusion? I'm high and thinking of making a manga/comic/webtoon to (fill space on mostly vacant website) shill muh ai dynamic storytelling world simulating RPG esoteric /biz/ themed cyber-punk adjacent LLM powered computer gaming experience.
I'm also no longer sober.

Might be dementia kicking in, but isn't chub's predecessor from a guy who used to frequent /g/ aicg in the first place. A simple booru was all you needed to aggregate cards when it's just image + metadata

NTA but most of everything is shit, dude. Even our club has more trash than bangers. There are plenty of diamonds to be found it the mines. That said, there are already mirror archives that exist for Chub. If you want anything to stay permanent, you gotta hook it up on your machine. That's true for anything on the net,

FYI, Anima finetunes coming out. WAI-ANIMA and Nova Anime AM being the most popular atm. I already posted about Z-Image last week. Natural language first, tags secondary.

I looked at the recommended prompting style and it looks like total cancer. You have to write AI slop and can't use tags, it's fucked up. Tags are not bad. Just let me use tags along with natural language.

Yeah that was just implemented for the lackluster dragon writer. Hopefully it improves its ability to do prose.

in terms of imagegen?
idk one time I made porn of a sentient glass/pitcher of juice
other than that, probably the random tag mismash monsters I gen from time to time
if you mean stuff I personally did not gen, I guess it would have to be the JarJar Binks set that was posted here before, that's certainly something you don't see often

I'd pay for that, chub gets my 20$ for now, but I' go up to 60$ if you could A: make it work at least as good, B: include better data management options so importing and exporting isn't a hassle, C: Add those bells and whistles people were asking about forever. D:Better search too maybe.

At the absolute least I’m proud fellow AI schizo realize even minimal censorship is still inevitable death

Apparently /d/ is taking its first baby steps into a AI thread with a not terribly competent baker as of yet.
Also something prophetic about recommending chub, but saying being in the UK they are liable to go full retard at any second.
Good for them I guess
