These guys are the big test of CV2. Particularly this boss since it's an early game encounter if you explore before leaving MagMell. You gotta play carefully and ideally maintain a fair distance from him so he gets baited into his jump attack. Up close he's very strong and his hit boxes are huge. In your Webm you staggered him with a Dive Bomb but before you can hit him with the second he's into his roar animation that greatly reduces incoming damage so the second was pointless and the 3rd would've been pointless even if you didn't get interrupted. Play more conservatively, land the Dive Bomb and then hit him with a normal or a drain attack if he staggers, then back off. Hopefully he jumps, which you can easily dodge and then hit him with another Dive Bomb.

The only thing that really bothers me about it is that Ichor is now used at frame 1. I would guess that is to counter the previous games exploits like thunder dash cancels, but it is incredibly annoying to mistime a forma use just a fraction of a moment to soon and lose your ichor. Especially with how much more it takes to gain it back in the sequel than the first game.

CV2 is definitely a game that could benefit from having poise, especially with how jails work in 2 as armor we could have had like the wolf jails be the heavy jail that gives you a shitload of poise etc
but then again the enemy AI getting on your ass for every little thing is incredibly annoying, I found it particularly egregious in CV2 which is why I ended up primarily using skills with built-in evasion. Couldn't even really make use of shit like the greatsword charge skills either

They're not minibosses but if I'm going for actual hate then it's fat guys. Particularly ones with 2H Swords. Unlike CV1 the timing on dodging their attacks is much harsher so I unironically get hit by their overheads pretty often. Even the spear ones have an annoyingly fast first horizontal swing that catches me too often. Actual minibosses are more fun to fight or at least I can respect when I die to them but the fat guys wound my pride.

Josee is powerful, perhaps the most powerful but it's brute force only pretty much so she's vulnerable to mage types like Zenon and Lavinia.
