I just noticed that there's a bug in the Switch 2 version Mario Wonder. When you pick Rosalina on the character select screen the text reads "Play as this character?" instead of "Play as this beautiful, perfect goddess?" I'm sure Nintendo will apologize and patch it soon.

I'm very fortunate in that Towa basically gets a new game every year or two, and each game is a 100+ hour adventure.
I still boot up Trails games that I've beaten every now and again though. Sometimes for taking photo mode screenshots and other times just because I like the gameplay.

I wish more Trails games had a proper "post game mode to mess around with". Most of them have a hard cutoff when the story ends. One of the reasons why Reverie is my favourite Trails is having a huge postgame that is intended to be very replayable.

Yes!
No other game series quite manages to do what Trails does, a continuous longrunning narrative set over a dozen games.
Trails in the Sky is the shortest game so it shouldn't take you too long to catch back up, or you could go with the remake (1st Chapter) instead, which is in full 3D and plays like a more modern game.

As shitty and predatory as FGO is, one thing I can say is they spotlight a pretty good chunk of the characters for different events so most of them aren't just totally sidelined. And a good unit is generally good forever, although some of the newer ones can be pretty meta in comparison. It's not like you can't win with older Servants, you'll just be doing it slightly less efficiently depending on who it is.

Jalter was the reason I cleared Lostbelt 7, the insane crit damage clutched on the final boss. I just used a suicide squad of crit star generators and then swapped her in as a nuke.

I always kind of liked SAO and thought Kirito was fucking cool. I especially loved the GGO arc. If I were to rewatch the first couple seasons I’d probably still greatly enjoy them again. The last thing I watched was that Aliciation whatever thing where they climb some sort of tower, again, to fight that nudist woman and I lost interest halfway through.
I also read a bit of The Isolator also by Reki and I thought it was great too despite how simple and shallow it is. There’s just something about Reki’s protagonists and how simple his stories are that really appeal to my simple brain. I think The Isolator got discontinued though sadly.
Fatal Bullet is a great game too, one of my favorite JRPGS. Not that I’ve played that many, but…

Velvet is known as the easiest character to play in Tales of Berseria because she's really, really fucking strong. She can inflict every type of debuff in the game, when you use her therion claw it heals her, and when she's in therion mode she can't die, her health just decreases until it hits 1 and then she automatically exits the mode. But since she dishes out status effects constantly, especially if you boost her Focus stat, you can pretty reliably just immediately use the claw again since you'll almost always have enough SG. She doesn't really get power crept even by the bosses, with Melchior and Artorius being a couple exceptions. Nobody in the party could touch her, and she actually beats all of them at one point or another (except for Magilou, who she'd absolutely flatten because she's melee focused and Magilou doesn't really have much of an answer for that).

Towa has a niche support role in Trails into Reverie that no one else really fills. She has a unique "Weaken" status she inflicts on enemies that makes them take way more damage from magic.
Lategame, she gets an upgrade if you do her sidequest optional boss fight door, which powers up her healing move to give additional resources.

There are other healers and stronger mages, but Towa never gets outclassed at support. She's the ultimate backup!

She’s quite meta actually. My Leva has one of the highest damage stats I’ve seen, though I do whale a bit honestly. She also does this cool thing where she turns invisible basically every round so she can essentially be permanently invisible which makes her immune to target (but not AoE) damage.
What’s funny is, canonically, Leva is actually quite weak in terms of combat power, and often has to rely on her wits and cunning to outsmart enemies.
That said, I do rely heavily on Springfield who is a healer mainly but can also deal a lot of damage. Without her I’d be fucked. I need to build her next.
Klukai, Lenna, and Andoris are invaluable too ofc.

Finished part one of, I forget what it’s called, the ongoing story event. Lentine is a really cool villain. I really hope I get to see more of her in the future. She’s sort of like the antithesis to the Commander, like the perfect rival to him. Cocoon is whatever, I feel like I’ve already sat through 12 other Cocoons in the past and she’s just the 13th clone to sit through. The reveal at the end with Igla and Lentine was kinda cool. Igla isn’t much different from Cocoon but she was slightly cooler. I hope I get to see more of both Igla and Lentine in the future. Balthilde and Dush are cute dorks too. Helen is eh, a dime a dozen just like Cocoon. Leva unfortunately only had a couple lines in the story, but it’s better than nothing I guess.
Overall pretty okay story. Lentine basically carried the whole thing lel.
