western audiences are still happy with the traditional pixar style.
inside out 2 is pixar's highest grossing film. the super mario movie made like a billion dollars. i'm sure a frozen 3 would do just fine.
they're open to other styles though - sony animation's done pretty well lately.
fortiche is working on an original full length animated thing though, and that's going to be the real box office test for this style.
