Every single reveal in the story makes him look like a fucking retard after a certain point. Either Kishimoto really doesn't care about continuity or he truly meant for the Third to be an incompetent boomer

I'm surprised Kishi didn't give him something like a Monkey Sage Mode in the War Arc. Just explain that he didn't use it before because his body was too old to handle it, but that's not a problem as a regenerating zombie with infinite chakra.
But the most impressive thing he does as an Edo Tensei is make four Shadow Clones and use all 5 elements at once

If I wrote Boruto I would have gave Konohamaru Kong sage and 8 gates. Enma could use adamant body mode and the biggest drawback of sage mode was Chakra, meanwhile 8 gates gave you 100x Chakra and ultra human abilities but it tore your body up. A Kong sage could give the human super strength and admantium body, and 8 gates could take it even further and the Chakra needed to hold sage mode with zero drawback because of 8 gates. The third was able to learn any jutsu in the village so Konohamaru learning 8 gates and sage mode isn't far-fetched.
Make Konohamaru worthy of being the next generations teacher by making him the physically strongest guy in the series, Guy sensei but stronger and invincible. Give him giant versions of Asuma's blades too as reference to his uncle's blades and the third using giant weapons. Konohamaru was supposed to be the next hokage after Naruto, Boruto butchered everything.

He's not a fraud by any definition. Both major villains of the series refuse to take him on in a fair fight and made a guy for the sole purpose of beating him. He beat the first one to death with his bare hands, and killed the second but was left open for the main villain to kill him.
>>
>>287470673
>prodigy martial artist wizard
>dies because he lets a con man talk him into acting instead of killing people with martial arts and magic
Not a fraud featwise, but died because he took up the role of a fraud.

I think Royd's role was only to keep Yama distracted long enough for Yhwach to visit Aizen. Yama had a theory that the Quincies couldn't steal his bankai until they saw all its tricks, but Yhwach said it was really just a matter of powerlevel, where nobody but Yhwach himself was strong enough to steal Yama's.

At the very least It can be argued the third was a victim of circumstance more than anything else, and simply did his best to keep a lid on the mountain of bullshit he inherited. Yamamotos leadership on the other hand, was actively detrimental to the soul society, and he repeatedly failed to fulfill his duty at every turn.

Idk man. Does losing to your own retardation and the enemy's dirty tricks make you a fraud? If anybody is a fraud in this series, it's the main fucking character who can't win a single fight without help.

I wanted him to be more too anon. The legendary cowboy thing could have went far with what was going. However I think Araki decided early that he was going to keep a two man story so Tim, Sandman, Pocoloco, and Hot pants disappeared for 90% of the story. Despite the large introductions.

Orochimaru was too afraid to bring him back as a young man. That is why Tobirama "I died to Gold and Silver" Senju failed to cut branches fast enough that Hiruzen broke with Enma.
>>
>>287469351
Huh I thought he did decent given his age against Orochimaru. Like Naruto-verse always gave me the sense that age does play lot of factor in how good you are and once you're past your prime, you fucking are, not much you can do about that.

>Take the greatest hero
>Remove his heroism
>Reduce the rank of his Valor from A to D
I dunno man, I kinda feel like it was on purpose. Bear in mind that Alcide's motivation is that he completely can't deal with his trauma, so everything he does is to run as far away from his painful memories as possible, to the point that he wants to erase his name from history in a desperate bid to ease his pain. He's motivated entirely by fear, despair and self-pity.

Gotta be the worst in the thread.
Twice in a row he lost to guys that just punch.
He can turn a handful of coins into a hyper-accurate shotgun blast and he just didn't even try against guys with no armour. Didn't even try to vector himself out of range of guys who only had unarmed melee attacks.
>>
>>287471164
He is a fraud in that he went soft and allowed quincy niggers to take over.
They even spoonfeed that he ego is what fucked everyone over, because if he had just had Orihime heal his arm he could have won easily.
>>
>>287473272
Him saying that he detests Gods and godhood and then picks a fight with the one guy that also detests gods while letting a literal Goddess just lord over everyone and do whatever she pleases is pretty fraudulent. Also getting saved by said goddess in a fight that he himself started randomly is laughable

Yama-jii is the best old man in any shonen. They always do this stupid comedy bullshit with old man where the old men are strong but also comedy perverts or some bullshit.
While yamamoto is just a strong grumpy fucker that wants to protect his people
>>
>>287470614
His summoning is unironically the strongest out of all of them.
Retards just don’t realize it because they think “bigger equals stronger dur hurrr” but this is like the only summoning flexible enough to be used in just about any fight. The monkey king is small enough to be used anywhere without worrying about environmental limitations. Do you know how strong a monkey is? He would tear a niggas dick off and there would be nothing anyone could about it.

>The Soul Society survived for thousands of years thanks to Yama.
The soul society existed because of what he had done, not what he was doing. He rested on his laurels for those thousands of years, and when new threats emerged he went out like a chump.
>>
>>287471673
That was the point of Akame ga Kill. You have outwardly shounen things going and then, in the middle of a random tensionless chapter, a member of the cast stabs another in the throat and they fucking die instead of miraculously surviving.

Manga implies that he raised Orochimaru to be a serial killer, indirectly caused Dan's death, and Obito by using children soldiers. It's only thru Tsunade and Jiraya the village last long enough to stabilize. His students indirectly created the Akatsuki.
>>
>>287479711
Yeah I get it, he really fucked things up by being.. so ''lenient'' I suppose. I kinda went by just martial prowess in comparison to OP's hack who failed like a bitch when it came to his first real serious fight in the series.

Yama got soft through peace, the Third through retardation... Assuming he was ever actually smart but no one would doubt THE Tobirama right
>>
>>
>>287481250
>It wasn't matter of getting soft
Yes it was, Yuha's plan was solid and it would only work against a weak Gotei. A blitz full scale invasion would not work against a Seireitei ready to throw hands at all times.

>it's the main fucking character who can't win a single fight without help.
One of the central themes of the story is how no one can succeed without help. Like that's the core thesis of the entire Strawhat crew my man. If that makes him a fraud, it makes every successful pirate in the story a fraud. Even ruthless individualists and social darwinists like Kaido or Doflamingo relied on their crew, often even.

Gaban doesn't count. He was pervy towards Shakky when he was young, and now he's old, but nothing much more than heart eyes. But he hasn't done anything pervy while old. He calls himself a warrior of love, but he doesn't do Roshi groping and peeping stuff. Plus he's married to a giant. Not really comparable at all to Roshi or Jiraiya.

>starts out really impressive by nearly killing the MC to the point where the mentor had to intervene and get sent to Hell as punishment
>ability later revealed to be "turning ideals into reality" in exchange for one year of his life every time he does so
>never gave himself an invincible body or genius mind or whatever
>just makes his bloodline powers slightly better
>literally "one my attacks is shooting a cannonball, but I permanently upgraded it to become a homing cannonball"
>it's not noticeably stronger or more interesting in any way
>it just homes
>his other upgrades are similarly lame
>loses in a fight that isn't particularly noteworthy
>gets his body taken over by another villain half-way through after turning good and never does anything again
How do you waste such a cool idea? It's one of the few time lifespan costs felt like they meant something, because it was a tangible trade-off. A whole year for every boost instead of just vaguely stating he'd live less time and never bringing it up again, like in most stories.
Not only is the application of the power lacking in creativity, but it feels downright weak.

Then when didn't he steal it in the old war?
I think ti's probably both. You have to understand it and be powerful enough to use it. OR perhaps not? I dont' recall if all bankai were stolen after the enemy got to know them.

He was the best villain in FMA. Anytime he got into action you knew you were gonna see some really badass action. The best thing is he didn't even have regeneration like the other homunculi since he only had a single soul, which makes him even more impressive.

>Uzumaki clan died right under his nose and he didn't prevent it or do something about it. He forgot about them
>Didn't tell Naruto about his parents
>The sole reason Naruto had a shitty childhood. Everyone in the village knew he was the 9tails despite 4th hokage wishes, neglected, alone, eating shitty food etc.
>Uchiha clan died because his inaction, he knew what was going to happen and all he did was negotiate with zero results
>Let Orochimaru alive when he had his chance to kill him, causing mayor calamities later on
>Let Danzo alive after he tried to kill him
>Let himself get killed by Orochimaru. Being fair in this one he was old at this point but still his own fault
People in konoha don't hate this guy enough, I'm probably forgetting more

I have no proof yet no doubt that kishi didn't plan ahead or knew what to do with Itachi arc. All he had was this vague idea he was a misunderstood hero of the leaf. He being a spy to Akatsuki never really played a role into the story, I guess you can add that too to Hiruzen failures.
>Didn't do anything about Akatsuki despite of, allegedly, having Intel of them via Itachi

The reason her weapon broke after the fight was the writer wouldn't have to deal with staying consistent with that bullshit. There would be no reason mine couldn't do that with anyone. Though my favorite part of that fight is still
>Judo's teigu is the only teigu in the series with finite ammunition

The biggest frauds start with an incredible advantage and squander it completely with misplays. After Frieza, Kaguya has to be the best example.
She seems to also have no understanding of the rinnegan base powers besides Preta Path and her rinnesharingan should just be much better at all of them. Having her use chakra-intensive time-space techniques for everything instead of moderating the output of a Shinra Tensei or Bansho Ten'in just makes her look stupid, especially when her sleeve simp starts chiding her for spamming. Her priorities get divided when she gets nervous about having lost so much chakra which leads to further fumbles.
This bimbo does NOT belong in a fight.

>Didn't do anything about Akatsuki despite of, allegedly, having Intel of them via Itachi
Re-reading Naruto, I was surprised to learn that Kakashi learned of Akatsuki from Jiraya, and that was unrelated to Itachi. Kisame and Itachi are surprised when Kakashi says he knows of them, and plan to capture him, so Itachi being a spy was truly useless since Akatsuki were secretly gathering for months/years, and either Itachi never relayed that information to Hiruzen, or he did, but Hiruzen didn't let anyone else know.
