There's probably some meta stuff there, like how it's subject to possible inaccuracies and revisionism. "Theo Fumis" and/or other characters might not even exist in this universe, and they were just made up by Sophie

Chapter 56 opens with Theo bringing up the idea of spirits leading an attack on the town in revenge for destroyed homes and gets dismissed because a spirit with the power to do that would have to be tied to something ancient while the ones tied to things like crops have fuckall power.
