This is a problem with LN adaptations in general. Most worthwhile LNs have a lot of psychological/nuanced shit. Which is always the first to be cut when adapting something. You think "oh, well its fine if they cut here and here, its not terribly important I guess". But this sets a precedent and a snowball effect that just gets worse with time. The industry just wants timeslots filled, they dont give a fuck about integrity of a work.

I say this with sincerity that you fags probably have one of the better LN adaptations of a longer running series. Which says a lot about the absolute fucking state of LN adaptation.

You realize Subaru explicitly claims this in arc 4 and he's literally just wrong, right? He uses it as his excuse for why he can't talk to or trust Ram and he's just being a dumbass. There is no instance in the story where anyone has had any affection or anything else switched around by Gluttony, its always cope by Subaru to excuse people's behavior he doesn't understand or is trying to reject. Like he doesn't think he's worthy of the villagers wanting to help him or Petra's belief in him so he makes up that they're just placing all the feelings that should be going to Rem onto him. And like with Ram, he's simply wrong. We can see how these people think and feel before arc 3 and its the same.

Yes she was. Its even a part of her fight with Rai that he comments she's almost grossly unaffected by the removal of her sister because she's such an independent entity and that makes him want to eat her above anything else.
