Snowball earth which is looking like it might be pretty cool, also reminded me I still need to watch the Kaina movie

The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch which at first I thought was gonna be a shoujo, I try and watch a few episodes of a womans romance every now and again just to keep my perspective broad, so imagine my shock at the casual upskirt pantyshots, and then the other spoiler shocking thing, pretty wild to get such casual panty shots in the current year. I did almost drop it on the spot when the friend character said something gay but I was slow enough to hit pause that the show was able to clarify she was just teasing, and I was impressed enough that even if it does turn to more or a frequent thing as long as MC doesn't actually reciprocate I'll keep watching regardless, besides at least it's not MC suddenly saying something homosexual like the last time I tried to watch a show about a witch

I'll probably give that respawning detective show a look next, I'm gonna try and push myself to try a broad range of things this season after a few seasons of being really inattentive

I watch like 4 shounenslops this season and some other highly anticipated anime and stuff from past seasons, and out of all those shows I end up liking Mao the most, even though I expected to like it the least, cause it looked like Inuyasha knockoff, and it kinda is. What I'm saying is, the pedo bait didn't save them from being shat on. Lolicons love the magical girl genre, they love shows for little girls like CCS that are full of gays and lesbians. So hating on tongari boushi for being for women or "woke" feels forced and arbitrary.

Nippon Sangoku is looking pretty good. I'm enjoying Needy Girl Overdose quite a lot too. These two are the most exciting.
Witch Hat Atelier, LuluttoLilly and MARRIAGETOXIN seem good too.
Liar Game is interesting, but the visuals seem to lack any effort, so it ends up feeling like they're just phoning it.
Ponkotsu, Koori no Jouheki, Akane Banashi, Yomi no Tsugai, Mao, and Reincarnation no Kaben are decently entertaining.
Snowball Earth is quite boring and on the verge of being dropped.
Ghost Concert is utter dogshit to the point I was actually feeling sick watching the second episode, but it's so bad that I'm compelled to watch it out of morbid curiosity.

The manga provides a solid basis for the writing (even if it's pretty understated compared to most of Rumiko's other stuff), and the anime is taking that and giving it a coat of good production values. These first few episodes are still pretty unfocused, though. I'll be interested in seeing how the reception develops when the plot starts kicking into gear.

I've been watching as much seasonal stuff as I can stomach this year. I've started watching nearly 30 shows from this season alone, but I'll probably drop a fair few.
Marriagetoxin and Nippon Sangoku are my current favourites. Replica Datte Koi o Suru is one that might end up being my AOTS depending on how the story pans out. It's still early days though so everything could change.
Nikola Tesla singing in episode two of Ghost Concert is my current highlight of the season.
