Why are older women/younger boy couples so rare in anime? I'm strictly talking about non-romance series of course. I guess my scope is limited to mostly mech series, but here's some cakes and hags that manage to win despite the odds:

Imagine my disappointment when I found out Misa was 19, only 2-3 years older than Hikaru
>Turn A Gundam
Kind of controversial win I guess. Also fuck you retard for saying she's wearing her dead lover's ring at the end. There was no mention of that ring in the entire series.

Win, but at what cost? They barely interact and there's like 1 romantic moment between them (aside of the finale kiss). Definitely not worth slogging through 26 episodes for that. Not to mention that reset ending.

There's also quite a few older women preying on young boys in early Gundam (ZZ, Victory, After War X) but they all failed and most ended up dead/crippled.
