I love Bleach but Fake Karakura Town and this fight were both terrible. Aizens entire buildup was around his ability to use Kyoka Suigetsu but in the final fight he never even uses it, Ichigo just neg diffs him with Dangai haxx powers. There should have been some type of fight built around getting around mass hypnosis but clearly Kubo couldn't think of one. The rest of the arc just being a battle royale of the Espada being deleted by the Gotei 13 one by one with little to no plot development was really a poor waste of their characters too and the entire arc itself starts with the asspull of Aizen not actually needing Orihime to perfect the Hogyoku, which was an actually interesting plotline that got shelved. I personally think Bleach doesn't peak in Soul Society but keeps getting better through the Arrancar arc up to around the final Grimmjow fight in Las Noches, after which it nosedives. It picks up again in Fullbring but at that point the damage had already been done and the ratings were raped.

>Aizens entire buildup was around his ability to use Kyoka Suigetsu but in the final fight he never even uses it
This whole entire fight was about Aizen transcending shinigami and not having to use their abilities. Yet another Bleach "critique" from a mouthbreathing speedwatcher.

I'm not a speed watcher and that "revelation" only occurs during the actual fight as a post hoc justification for him not using Kyoka Suigetsu. It was a literal idiot ball moment and terrible as a result.

It's almost like bleach was getting axed and Jump told Kubo to wrap it the fuck up

I doubt it because ratings for Bleach only go down after the Ichigo Vs Aizen fight. The axe came in TYBW which is why the anime is retconning a lot to make a better ending for it
>Uhh there was no axe Kubo just had health issues
Google "Tatemae" in Japanese culture. He got axed

>reminder that if Ichigo had waited any longer to bust his load and use mugetsu Aizen would have evolved to the point that it wouldn't have done enough damage for Kisuke's seal to trigger.
In reality, Ichigo should have just opened with his strongest move even though it pisses away all his powers. He was playing with fire, letting Aizen evolve again and again like he wanted.

>t. speedreader
The whole point of Ichigo fighting Aizen was that he was the only person they knew who wasn’t under the influence of Kyōka Suigetsu. That’s why he had to finish the fight as fast as possible, because there was no workaround.

>Bleach is all style no substance
It has plenty of substance though. The entire plot of SS is about fighting the inhumanity of tradition, all the Arrancar have unique backstories, it just has a lot of storylines that got built up with no payoff because the manga ended before the author could wrap them up

Google Tatemae and honne. Bleach had really bad ratings in Japan since Fullbring but it was one of the biggest anime franchises worldwide. It would be socially disruptive to just outright axe Kubo so they probably worked out a Tatemae where he publically says he had health issues to maintain public relations. But I he fact he said he didn't like his editor exposes the Honne, the truth that he was not on good terms with Jump and was likely axed

Kubo also at the start of TYBW said he had like three arcs planned before the end of the manga, and multiple plot threads are never paid off.
- Ukitake's history with Ginjou
- Ginjou and Tsukishimas motives and backstory
- Aizens motives regarding the soul king
- The soul king himself

And he's done minimal work to cash his cheque. Scamming chumps on Klub with half-assed answers as well as busy selling his own fashion brand. I'm certain the monthly illustrations of characters he's drawing are basically advertisement. The people who think he'll ever subject himself to even a monthly schedule on WSJ are deluding themselves. If Hell arc ever happens, I'm sure it's just be one or two cours under his "supervision", aka marketing strat.

He got an actual illness that left him constantly tired and bedridden. He was motivated to finish by an unsigned fan letter from a terminally-ill boy, and tried to track down the kid's family afterward to thank them.

There's a picture of the actual letter, and I'm not cynical enough to think they'd go that far to fake it.
