One chapter late but holy shit this page might just be what makes me finally drop omega. It was fun when it was "entertainingly" bad, i could do with the jobbing, I could do with mukaku, but what's the fucking point if the antagonist who's the main driving force behind most of omegas events openly says "yeah that huisheng stuff is lowkey bullshit bro, they're not the same person" IN THE TOURNAMENT THAT DESIDES WHETHER OR NOT RYUKI AND OHMA WILL BE VESSELS FOR IT? what, is shens schizo split personality going to just disappear if he actually gets a tiger vessel?

I do love Arashiyama though. He's pretty bullshit but I like him for some reason.

Shen wants brain surgery so he can physically control Ohma and Ryuki.
I agree Huisheng is retarded and should have just been a real supernatural takeover. The story wouldn't suffer for it, the plot has jumped the shark so many times already. In Baki Itagaki just gives Tokugawa a magic sister that can summon spirits so the Musashi arc could function. Is it dumb? Yeah, but it worked so no one cared. I can't say the same for Huisheng, the plot doesn't benefit from Huisheng just being Larping. Honestly which sounds worse:
>Characters can actually reincarnate
>Characters spend multiple decades brainwashing some kid to have their memories so they can "live" through someone that's probably just going to carry on for 2 more decades until the process has to be repeated

I do remember him saying he'd teach the the breathing techniques but I can't remember if it was because he'd need to wait for medical science to advance that far.
Seems kinda bullshit to get them primed so early in that case but I guess the logic is that even after 69 years two perfect candidates might not be born again? Are they even born? They're clones right? Can't they just be cloned again? Does cloning a clone lower the purity or something? I'm so confused.

So what is Sandro's endgoal here with emasculating every single real "villain" this story has ever had?
Why should we care about any threat posed by the Worm or the Westward Wu or any of the other "evil" guys if they keep getting humiliated like this?
>>
>>
>>288516234
It's kinda weird how Sandro separated Shen from the villains by shifting that role to Luohan and Tiger Niko, but at the same time he still has him and Yan associating with guys like Nicolas and Gilbert, who the rest of the cast hate

You know, so many of my problems with the series would be fixed right here if Toa said something like

>>

>>288517191
>tons of people lost their shit when Rihito lost to Falcon originally
I was upset about it then and I'm even more upset about it now. I think that setting Purg up as a "respectable" fighting organization and then having a character frame their Medicine Man-tier cheating as "a legitimate thing" pisses me off, but looking back it just frames the Purg cast as a bunch of jobbers who are incapable of actually winning a match without pulling a trick or killing themself, besides Liu and Naidan.
>inb4 but Naidan still killed himself
Yes, but he didn't need to do that to win, he did it because he's a Worm.
>>
>>288517191
The poison was dumb and the way the fight flows from Falcon dominating, to Falcon not being able to do any damage so Rihito can just unga in, to Falcon being able to choke Rihito out was pretty janky.
I think you could just do away with the poison and say Rihito was fatigued from accumulating damage, and Falcon's hits to his jaw and throat do its work.

>>
>>288519503
Not gonna lie, I'm not surprised. OPM's one joke got old fast. It's like cheating to have a max level character at the start of a RPG, it's fun for 5 minutes but you get bored fast.
Or replaying Kakarot from the beginning with SSJB Goku / Those 'what if Goku was reborn with all his memories'. It works for a 30 minute video, not multiple volumes.
>>
>>288517191
Reading a fight where the Rihito's character development is sacrificed for the sake of making a poison user look "good" was shit. Then also have Purgatory be proud and brag about Falcon using poison was also shit because it means Purgatory is full of gimmick users. R1 of KAT was about filtering out gimmick users so it gives the impression that a lot of Purgatory fighters are R1 jobbers
That fight is only good if you really really like Falcon's backstory since that fight is obviously doing the heavy lifting here
>>
>>288519535
Nah, the webcomic is still going strong. Saitama isn't the only character. You have Genos, King and Sonic who themselves have very malleable punchlines going for them.
OPM isn't really a traditional fighting manga, most of the fights are actually uneven stomps, like Mumen Rider vs Deep Sea King.
>>
>>288519535
The webcomic is very good at characterizing Saitama and his supporting cast and getting a lot of narrative mileage out of that
The problem is that the redraw de-emphasizes that in favor of constant action

The more you think about the whole Shen thing to less sense it makes, which is par for the course for Sandronigger. But Shen might actually be the sum of all of Sandros flaws as a writer (beside the obvious).
I'll try to keep the lines as brief as possible.
>Shen has two personalities inside him, the Tiger and the Dragon, but instead of just being a typical schizo this is muddled by him having 2 different kinds of DNA in his body as well as double pupils as if there were actually two people merged into one.
>Tiger and Dragon personalities have been supposedly Huishenged into successors over the centuries but that doesn't explain the 2 different sets of DNA belonging to the tiger and dragon personalities (can't huisheng those) unless Shen kept knocking up some women from time to time. Which shouldn't be as that would dilute the DNA and besides, as Rino (the authority on supernatural seduction) has said, Shen is pretty much completely Asexual to answer >>288511021 question.
>So the only actual way to get proper "vessels" would be cloning, which wasn't possible until the last century. So the entire history of Shen before that is ???. And then this is FURTHER muddled by Shen aging at least twice as slow as normal humans. Current Shen looks like he is in his 40s but is probably 80+. Previous Shen (the black haired one) that fucked Mukakus clan up got done in by Metsudo and Erioh about 60 - 70 years before Ashura and he was active for at least 20-30 years before that given Mukakus age in Omega.
>But wait Shen's huisheng could be completely different than normal, straight up supernatural possession or something. But then why would he need modern technology to progess?
Schizo writing with barely any thought put in it. If I made some mistake about something in my greentext above, don't even bother correcting me. I don't care and Sandro himself doesn't care and I think me writing this is already much more effort put into it than Sandro ever did.
>>
>>
>>288519877
I just wanted to say that I hate that face so much. I hate the way he's drawn to look directly at readers. Sandro couldn't be more obvious in his intention to mock readers for daring to take this manga seriously.
>>
>>288519877
Shen is a clone of the previous Shen so let's say for the sake of simplicity that "Tiger" and "Dragon" are the result of imperfect cloning and would explain why the Worms went through a batch of shitty clones and Luohan before finally getting Ryuki and Ohma
Shen is some marvel of modern bio-technology

Someone in a previous thread claimed this was a slight mistranslation. Supposedly it's meant to be the same "they will be your first opponent" line from the actual chapter, with the joke being in the real chapter "they" was nobody and just a trick to set up a sucker punch, but in the bonus "they" actually meant Niko, but Niko thought he meant someone else and was also fooled (hence the ? speech bubble and him turning the same way Wulong does)
I have no idea if this is actually true or not because I'm too lazy to find the raws

>It's such a shit way to give an "advantage" to a guy that has lost twice.
An "advantage" that Toa himself knew wouldn't help after he's used this supposed environmental mastery once btw. He went into the fight with full awareness of this fact apparently, according to this chapter.

Sort of, but you're off on a few details.
Shen didn't have two personalities originally. The Dragon is the primary Shen personality and the Tiger is an aberration. We're just told that, every now and then in the line of succession, there is some kind of aberration which is to be expected when you're passing down your personality via oral tradition. The Dragon/Tiger split is AN aberration, not THE aberration. Basically, the previous Shen chose a flawed individual to act as his successor, which is why thr split happened. Current Shen was born fucked up and that affected how the Huisheng worked on him. Hushen/Tiger is a separate personality that was created by experiencing the Huisheng secondhand from the back of current Shen's head.
>>288520272
Current Shen isn't a clone. He says himself that he's just a stranger. The current gen Shen is the first one to be cloned, which is why they're still ironing out the kinks until Ohma and Ryuki.
>>
>>288523426
>Then Sandro realized he can't actually write a master of the environment so he already dropped the gimmick
This is the funniest part of this whole series after a certain point. There can't be any way it works like this but it genuinely, honest to fucking god, feels like Sandro writes each chapter after the new one gets released. It's like he's making up each plot point, each dialogue, each potential panel and scene after the last chapter has been already released. There is no preplanning or a thought out scenario. It's all just off the top of his head waffle.
>>
>>
>>
>>288510882
There are a lot of things to shit on Omega's writing for, but this is just you being a speed reader. Shen has acknowledged this shortcoming of Huisheng already, which is why he's looking into alternatives in the first place. The only ones who actually think of it as a personality transfer are the Wu.
>>

>>shen stoles the main villain slot from tiget niko
The main villain slot just sort of disappeared. No one's really a villain any more. Shen certainly can't be called a villain. I guess Yan or Fu or whatever the henchman's name is?
Or maybe Gilbert?
>>
>>
>>288526177
So is Shen and Luohan and Yan seemingly.
I guess we've just switched from villains to antagonists. Which is fine if it weren't for the fact that the antagonists were constantly being hyped to be pure evil.

Because Rihito was a character who shouldn't have lost there. He was the biggest loser in the Kengan roster with something to prove. He was a loser in Ashura who got bullied by Raian and then humiliated by Kuroki, only to then train under him, the strongest character in the series. He was the most set up for growth of anybody in the KAT besides maybe Cosmo(who fucking vanished for Omega).
Him losing was bad writing because it just made his training arc feel pointless when he only gained the upper hand by reverting to his unga bunga self and then lost anyway, and also reflected poorly on Kuroki in turn. Then he never gets to appear again until the Baby Bowl, where his only legitimately impressive win is an already hurt Saw Paing before winning in the finals by bullying 1 HP Koga.
His treatment in the story is bizarre, Sandro acts like he's supposed to be some kind of friendly rival of Ohma's in scenes like them hanging out pre-Fortnite, but they never actually spend any time together because the plot is Wormslop and it's debatable if Rihito even knows what a Worm is to this day, and the idea of Rihito lasting ten seconds in a fight with Ohma is laughable now.

You're off on a couple details too. It's almost like Omega is a schizophrenically written confusing mess.
>Current Shen isn't a clone
Yes he is. That's where Hushen came from. Hushen isn't just an alternate personality, he is a literal chimeric parasite borne from cloning issues, that's why the plan is to physically divide Shen's brain in two.
Current Shen is a clone of black haired Shen who killed Mukaku's clan. That's why he did that, because Long Yi decided that cloning was his line in the sand when brainwashing, murder, Gu rituals, ect were perfectly fine.

You know how heartbroken I felt when reading that fight? It was the perfect time to shown he's grown. To show how much he's grown. That swallowing his pride in the face of the greatest humiliation of his life (and everybody involved's lives for that matter) and keeping up with the source of said humiliation well and truly paid off.
And then it didn't. It simply didn't.
You know, I remained seething at falcon for a good year or so before getting over it. Which is a shame cause he was such a fun character he didn't deserve it, but that was still Rihito's fight to win.
>>
>>
>>288532972
Yeah, it's easily one of the oddest decisions in a tournament where Sandro was so otherwise consistent in portraying the Kengan side as so overwhelming. Rihito was the one who needed a win the most for his character, to avoid being labeled an eternal jobber. You even have Sandro seeming aware later of what he did when BB Rihito stares into the camera after being Saw and goes "SORRY, I CANT BE A WORTHLESS JOBBER FOREVER LOL".
It makes me even angrier about Sandro chickening out of Kuroki of boxing Medel, because changing the end of that also changed Rihito vs Falcon in turn. If Rihito had gotten the Gaolang loss(dominate the fight but lose to unfamiliar rules and ringout) it would have been far more acceptable because it would have portrayed him as having gotten far stronger but still having the issue of lacking experience. A loss, but one nobody would really see as one, and that preserves his credibility far better.
>>
>>
>>

>it's debatable if Rihito even knows what a Worm is to this day

>>>interpretation

>>288519877
Shen unironically is some kind of supernatural being.
For some reason, cloning does not function correctly for him and him only. First there is the matter of the cloning going wrong at some point and Shen ending up as two people in one body. Then there's the matter of Ohma, Ryuki, and Luohan all being different despite being clones. Ohma is the clone of Tiger specifically. Ryuki is the Dragon. Luohan is an unnamed Connector of the past, thought to be the Aberrant One. This is the one thing in the story Shen takes seriously, he does not identify with Ohma or Luohan, only Ryuki.
Shen's body "contains" the DNA of previous connectors, and the cloning spits one of them out randomly. And it gets even worse when you consider the Consecutors.

>>288511823
>be utterly retarded
>uses technology to achieve things instead of effort
>loves to humiliate tiger niko
>fails again and again but keeps on truckin
Are you meaning to tell me that the VILE Luohan, the very mention of whom makes my blood BOIL with RAGE, is actually a stand-in for Sandro?
>>
>>288534677
Chickening out on Gaolang getting stomped really did a number on the rest of the tournament going forward. So was not letting Fei fight Waka in KAT, I really do think Fei would be alive right now or at least have lasted longer had they fought then instead of in Omega where Sandro was self-conscious about the win-loss ratio between KA and Purgatory
>>
>>
>>288536140
>And it gets even worse when you consider the Consecutors
All Consecutors are just clones of previous Shen's. Every single one and since Tiger and Dragon are more or less the same with some minor difference in taste in food and fashion sense that means every other Consecutor is the same
Ohma himself might as well have been huishenged since he acts somewhat closely to how Shen acts and can't seem to find it in him to hate the guy, while Mukaku's influence keeps Ryuki somewhat based in reality but he still goes along with the retarded shit anyway
And they all hate Luohan on the spot, who is some Aberrant-reborn. He's pretty much the odd one's out here and his other selves auto-hate him, it's weird

That's just blatantly untrue in the original context, Sandro, Kuroki said it was possible for Rihito to catch up with Rei even. Kuroki wouldn't let a complete shitter hang around and learn from him no matter how tsundere he is, he had zero martial arts training back then, so him learning Kuroki was supposed to be a "holy shit what if he got actual skills on top of his natural mutant gifts" thing.
>>
>>
>>288538588
Mukaku had a very clever and well developed plan.
>send Ryuki into the Kengan matches
>the Worms will notice him and try to kidnap him
>surely Shen won't send someone Ryuki has zero chance against, especially with only Gaoh style memes, to retrieve him and will only deploy knife mook fodder
>hopefully Ryuki comes back to visit grandpa at some point
>Shen will surely follow him back to the inside, so then Mukaku can kill him with his funhouse
Mukaku never told Ryuki when to come back btw. Ryuki only returned because he had a personal crisis over killing, and went back to ask for advice, which Mukaku had no reason to believe would happen. Mukaku was ancient and Ryuki didn't bother going home for literally years, Mukaku could have died of old age at any time.
>>
>>
>>288538665
Thankfully the worms are as dumb as he expected
>Naidan with some help likely could have easily subdued Ryuki and take him back in a bag
>Yan told him to die in order to awaken his bloodlust or whatever
>>
>>
>>288538763
Imagine if Koga had exploded on Ryuki right there when he found him with the corpse instead of holding it in, and they argued right there until Eddie entered the alley.
That's a fun thought exercise. Would the King of Mercy's mercy extend to letting Ryuki escape?

How much has happened in Kengan Omega since then?

The first chapter of 2026 was chapter 338.
So we started the year with a fakeout fight between Raian and Gaolang (pic related).
Then we got a rule change.
Then we got the ACTUAL fight between Raian and Gaolang (with that retarded "gaps in consciousness page) that ended with the broken watch.
Then we got Haruo's pointless fight (with Gorilla Face worm man being the only memorable thing about it).
Then we got the only good thing about this arc so far, which is the Liu vs Real Nicolas fight, but even then, the fight was tarnished with Real Nicolas turning into a giga jobber.
Then another pointless fight (THE LEGEND vs Waka).
Then ANOTHER rule change.
Then Gilbert vs Julius.
And now we have"arrived"at Jurota vs Toa.
So nothing that couldn't have been condensed into like 5 tightly-written chapters if this manga actually had planning, editing and good writing.
>>
>>288542697
>Sandro stretched what could have been ~5 chaGPTers into 18
>a few pages of World Trigger and the OPM webcomic has more things happening in them than half a year of Kengan Omega
The worst part is, I feel Sandro definitely could've stretched things out even more than that if he really wanted to. Some fights had no reaction faces at all, the chaGPTers could have been split into fractions of 7-8 pages, and two-thirds of them could easily have been nothing but filler.
>>
>>
File: 0353-002.jpg (498.3 KB)
Speaking of which, this page pisses me off, because we all know that Sandro never intended to write both fights happening simultaneously.
Nor did it actually happen simultaneously in the manga, since Toa and Jurota politely waited for Gilbert and Raian to finish before beginning their own fight.

>So nothing that couldn't have been condensed into like 5 tightly-written chapters if this manga actually had planning, editing and good writing.
It also wouldn't need to be condensed if the fights were just good instead.

>>288542697
>Then we got Haruo's pointless fight (with Gorilla Face worm man being the only memorable thing about it).
Man, how the fuck did he fuck up a classic "slimming down" character that the most memorable thing about it is a guy that inexplicably looks like a gorilla?
>>
>>
>>288544668
Because the scene of "Haruo slimming down to be a badass" only exists to be the scene of "Haruo slimming down to be a badass"
There's no actual nerve connecting it to the larger story, it's literally just Haru looking at the camera and saying "BOY I AM GLAD I AM NOT FAT AND BADASS AND WILL NEVER BE A R1 KAT JOBBER EVER AGAIN" and then nothing else happens
It's noise, basically, it cannot have impact because it's there to be there
So naturally people will just talk about the one thing that was accidentally funny
>>
>>288530987
All things considered, Ashura was a pretty compact story. It knew what it wanted to do, got there fast, did the thing, then ended immediately afterwards. Omega in contrast feels much more like Sandro doesn't really have a specific vision of where he wants the story to go or what kind of story he wants to tell in the first place, so it just kinda keeps going like an endless human centipede. It's kinda like modern Baki in the sense that the author is just writing whatever he thinks might be fun at the moment, then moves on to something else when he gets bored. I don't expect Omega to end because of the story reaching some kind of conclusion in the same way that Ashura did. Omega is ending when people stop reading it or Sandro feels that he can afford to drop his biggest cash cow to focus on something else he's more passionate about.

I understand it now. Sandro just started writing shit by the seat of his pants because the editor was too busy to talk about writing the series with him. Daro was too jaded and others were too scared to talk to him because they viewed ashura as a masterpiece. He had become too "strong", so strong, he was lonely. And so he found a friend in chatgpt

I don't remember if it was ever mentioned that they fought but Purgatory operates like the UFC/Pride so chances are Lolong never fought Jurota.
Toyoda probably kept those two away from each other so Lolong could keep his perfect win-record
>>
>>
>>
>>288565181
I remember one anon saying that Toyoda probably threw guys like Liu at Lolong, guys who wanted in on Purgatory and quit once they realized Toyoda threw them at the champ for some reason as their first match
If Lolong is getting past Jurota's THROOOWING then it means Lolong kept hitting him in the back of the head after time Jurota swung him
>>
>>288565181
Fight records are pretty much just power levels and not an actual records of the fighter's fights. Even in Ashura we had veterans like Sen and Julius yet they were undefeated, meaning that they had not fought any of the other top tiers. In fact, the only ones that seemed to have actually fought each other were Sen, Agitato and Waka. The rest either beat a whole retired generation or crushed a bunch of cans.
>>
>>
>>288565326
>>288565350
Again, it doesn't work like that in Lolong's case because he specifcally ONLY fought the A-ranks and we know he beat Toa easily, same Toa who was a Purgatory top 5 so he clearly wasn't just fighting the bottom of the barrel A rank either.
>>
>>288558129
That's the one, yes.
>when did Arashiyama fight Agito
That was way back just after the Inside and before the introduction of L**han. They fought over a spot in said tournament, and then Agito lost and got in anyway because of Kenganvenger privilege.
>But surely the Koga/Ryuki Kure training montage was also happening at the same time, right? Or was that before? Or after? No clue.
After. TECHNICALLY to say a full year would include a bit of that too, since it overlapped with Five Fights.
>>
>>
>>288565428
Liu's some rich kid from a affluent Martial Arts family who performed the dreaded Temper Tantrum Stomp to get into Purgatory despite being a High Schooler and Toyoda chucked him at Lolong as his first fight
Regardless of what is said about "Only A-listers have the right to challenge him" you'd be having to accept that Lolong is beating the shit out of the handful of fighters in that ranking, including the guy who's supposedly on his level, every single time.
I don't buy it, don't care what Sandro says since everything about Lolong is last minute additions. It'd make more sense that Lolong gets set up with matches against lower rank fighters because Lolong and everyone else in Purgatory are just Toyoda's toys and he'll set up any match as he see's fit
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>288565489
>Agito lost and got in anyway because of Kenganvenger privilege
And ended up winning the whole thing despite all the fucking talk about the damage he'd taken which amounted to fuck all. Fucking Sandro man. I get that it's another rock, paper, scissors scenario but boy is none of it satisfying.
>>
>>
>>
>>288568545
And you'd have at least had Lolong on a winning streak until then AND can expend on their relationship via flashback while making one of their previous interaction the thing that gave Jurota just the edge to win / scale the wall.
>>
>>288565181
Just because Lolong is now at the top and only challenged by the other top tiers doesn't mean it started that way.
When Purg started, he probably did fights just like anyone else, even if he was the strongest already.
Also I think it was mentioned that he beat Jurota?

You know, we never actually got coherent explanations of how grade rankings actually work in Purgatory. What we DO know is that Idemitsu is the kind of laidback eccentric who will totally recruit a Singaporean weeb who wants to learn from real ninjas in Japan, make up special rules on the fly, let Eddie tap out for some schizo Eddie insists is exactly as good as him after Eddie specifically requested a spot on his tourney, keep a deranged Hatsumi-tier flip-flopping Frenchman around and apparently spent years with Terashi on the roster despite Terashi canonically not knowing how to fight and coasting on his literal vibes.
So technically, you could BOTH be right. As long as you accept that Terashi took one look at Liu's background, and then fasttracked him into A-rank so that he could technically challenge Lolong (and get humbled by him). Basically, Liu had Dana White-I mean, Goat privilege.
>>
>>288578594
The ranking system seems based purely on skill and vibes
Nicolas has been bumped down to B-ranking before and has more losses than wins but is apparently in A-rank when we see him and Terashi can't even fight, Kengan caught on to that almost instantly. Mike Myers is a big hulking murderer with a bodycount in the hundreds and Toyoda thought it'd be cool to bring him on. The guys got over a 100 wins and is just in B-tier
Looking at it it's mostly vibes, then skill. Toyoda liked Liu's vibes so he indulged the kid
>>
>>
>>
>>288579092
It's plausible headcanon, Liu said they're supposed to be businessmen and was shocked by all his friends going schizo. Remember, far as we can tell Fei reached the level of a "Demon Fist" PURELY with tai chi given he shocked everyone on his team with his Niko bullshit.
>>
>>288579967
Reminder that it was explicitly said that Fei challenged a previous Demon Fist for his title and won, with said tai chi. Do you think that guy was watching the tournament, and if he killed himself(thus securing a moral draw with Fei in the end)?
>>
>>288580084
Nah, moral win nothing-it's spelt out plainly in Purgatory rules that death=victory, suicide or not. The conclusion is obvious: Fei dominated the guy using his tai chi so absolutely that he wasn't even able to kill himself in time before the Purgatory staff were able to strap him into a gurney and wheel him out of the arena (where Purgatory rules did not apply and therefore him killing himself wouldn't secure the W).
Fei must've gone "limp" and "redirected" all of the former Fist's blows back at him like the landlord in Kung Fu Hustle, and then put him in a hug and choked him out or swung him out of the ring or something. Remember, according to Sandro Fei and Alisa were supposed to have a relationship like exes so presumably they were on good terms before he schizo'd out. That implies Fei was a very rule-abiding fighter while undercover.
>>
File: 1766357994533.png (285.8 KB)
You know, in a better manga, it would have been perfectly fine for the rule-breaking side to be penalised by having the other fighter win by default. But the specific way each Purgatory fighter "wins" and the Kengan fighter "loses" is so pathetic, and so incongruous with how Sandro wants us to believe they are all unfathomable monsters that are superior to the wholesome underdog Kenganvenger heroes, that it is impossible to take the concept of Purgatory rules seriously.
What's up with Sandro and turning evil jobbers into genuinely engaging characters by pure accident?
>>
>>
>>288580303
You would think in a setup like this, Purgatory would have been depicting gleefully exploiting the rules to the fullest extent. Taking downs to catch their breath while smirking at their opponent, playing the ring, so on. There's plenty of ways you could have depicted Kengan struggling.
But instead, their main struggle is winning too hard and killing their opponent. The only rules lawyer Purgatory win was Medel, who got his face caved in in the process.
Ironically, the fighters who struggled the most in the meat of the fight itself due to rules WERE PURGATORY'S OWN GUYS, ie Jurota and Yumi.
>>
>>
>>288580303
The most insulting part of the whole equation is Idemitsu acting smug at the end as if everything from Kitten niko intervening to Liu losing his shit to Alan getting ripped in half to Medel getting his face cratered to Terashi being outed as a literal fraud to Nicholas turning out to be a war criminal was all
>Just as keikaku
Sandwich, the ONLY proactive things Idemitsu did during the ENTIRE tournament was hire Muteba to get pounded into a wall and invoke SPECIAL RULES for the specific purpose of shitting on Monke, WHO YOU HIRED YOURSELF, for literally no reason given that you yourself, Idemitsu, claimed you were actually trying to win. Sandwich wants Idemitsu to simultaneously be hypercompetent, wholesome chungus and just fallible enough for the Worms to infiltrate Purgatory at all, and in trying to do all those things at once he just makes Idemitsu look like a fucking idiot.
>>
>>
>>288580385
>But instead, their main struggle is winning too hard and killing their opponent.
Desu Purgatory's main problems seem to be turbo autism resulting in their fighters trying to minmax into certain forms of fighting (throooows, apps, Toa's not-Niko Style, being "the protagonist". Liu lucked out getting to have chinese martial arts as his autism focus since it's actually viable in the Sandroverse, and Falcon lucked out getting to fight Shithito who was such a jobber that Sandwich felt the need to highlight giving him a W in a future arc) if we discount all the fighters that are secretly cuhrahzee Worms and Alan.
Alan made the cardinal sin of trying to match Princess Raian's freak to his face, an act of hubris Sandro consideres on par with the Tower of Babel meriting divine punishment given Raian hasn't ripped anyone else in half onscreen since.
>>
>>
>>288580385
They should have had a Kenganvengers try to complain about the rule exploits and being told to stop being a faggot, he accepted the fight, he accepted the rules, if he can't win it's his own damn fault.
>>
>>288580474
>Say if I kill myself in the ring or just die overall but come back to life afterwards do I still keep my win?
Now I'm imagining a purgatory fighter who's whole gimmick is that thing Kaku did against Yujiro where he died mid-match temporarily so he didn't lose.

>>What's up with Sandro and turning evil jobbers into genuinely engaging characters by pure accident? This image here has every line of dialogue/thought from Sean, and yet everyone in this thread liked him/lamented his deathReminder he was in every panel of the Inside arc, just off-screen according to Sandro soft-canon
>>
>>288580474
Under Purgatory rules? Based on the precedent of Alan I think that would go to some sort of committee to rule on whether or not it counts. In the immediate aftermath you would definitely win, it's just coming back to life later that would be controversial since Purgatory doesn't seem to have more specific ways to verify being dead other than seeing if they need a bucket and Alisa checking your breathing. So on the safe side you should probably put effort into making it look like the opponent had SOMETHING to do with your death. And also not do it very often. Twice a year at most, and give yourself a title like "The Undying Demon" to trigger Idemitsu's whimsy and convince him to bend the rules a little since you're showing that you can do showmanship to entertain the average Purg audience member as well as fight.
Purgatory seems to understand the concept of a no-contest so at the very least you're risking a draw.

>give yourself a title like "The Undying Demon"
This seems very dangerous on a meta level, to give myself an epithet that intrudes on the copyright of the K*res.
In a reality where Sandro is God, that seems to just be asking for me to wind up matched against Raian in a future tournament where he laughs at my epithet and how I dare to call myself a "demon", before brutalizing me, before giving an especially large AI generated crazy grin as he goes for the finisher.
"KEHEHEHEHE UNDYING HUH, WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT YOU WIMPY LITTLE FAKE DEMON" he says, "IF SUICIDE'S YOUR GIMMICK... THEN LEMME HELP YOU OUT WITH YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE YET", before he rips me in half like Alan, then again at the waist for good measure.

To be fair if you are ever in a situation post-KAT where you are fighting Raian, you're dead meat anyway unless you immediately start compliment hexing him and use the time to run away or grovel for mercy. Sandro writes him like a young master in a xianxia except if the young master had the plot armor of the MC.

Welp, they just showed the Ohma vs Rolon fight to the nu-Kengies. Man I forgot how horrific that whole fucking thing was.
>Rolon, you were awesome
>Got the timing right
>Niko style: NANO MACHINES READJUST MY BUSTED ARM
Looking back all these years. Where did everything go so wrong...
