Episode 34 synopsis: Coming up with a plan, Tomoro captures the serial kidnapper. The next day, while on the hospital rooftop with Asuka, Miharu appears. Caught up in that mysterious atmosphere, he starts talking about memories with Asuka when he receives word that the kidnapper has been released...
This week's question: WILL WOLVERMON FINALLY EVOLVE?!
There's been another birthday this week, arguably the most important of them all...
>>288570125 ...and that is June 6, which is the only birthday we've seen depicted in the show. That means it is happy birthday to one Asuka Tenma: https://twitter.com/digimon_tv/status/2063063323164410310
Here's the official birthday art, which is clearly from a time before the show. Mainly because he's not a Cold Hearted vegetable. Happy birthday Asuka: may you think of your band as you sit in a wheelchair and get thrown off the hospital roof.Probably.
>>288570385 I'm thinking this will set up the Wolvermon evolution for next week's episode. How I see it is the only path open for Reina development is to have her be "adopted" by Rose and experience the life of luxury she always wanted... only to realise it's not as happy as she thought it was. Then she will realise that Glowing Dawn FAMILY is more important than money and this will trigger the evolution.
Episode 35, "Raging Instinct": Reina trains hard with Pristimon to get revenge on Rose. Meanwhile, a series of bombings targeting World Union-related facilities by GIFT occurs.
>>288571720 Why would I be trash equally as bad as Reina? She's destined to eventually lose to someone as trash as Izumi; Rose is trash who only got to be a Five Star because she sucked off Klay and Wong good enough,
>>288571834 Could be any deep saver/water related digimon. But my bet is on Splashmon just because it wouldn't be the first ghost game motw to be the partner of one of the antagonist, we already have Gigasmon, Oleamon and Toropiamon.
>>288571966 Don't care. Reina is useless for 34 episodes. She sucks. Even if she evolved, she's just gonna beat some fodder no one cares about and maybe prove Rose is a loser whose only good at giving old men head
>>288571982 What's also very interesting is we'll have had two of the alternate Gammamon Vital Bracelet evolutions inside 4 weeks (Fumamon in episode 32, and Bombermon in episode 35). And TECHNICALLY Oblivimon is a Ghost Game evolution, albeit created well after GG finished. Vulturemon was also a Vital Bracelet-debuting Digimon. They seemed to have latched onto GG/VB Digimon all of a sudden.
Do you think old man Demon will be the Mega of Mephismon? They both got fluffy thighs for Miharu to sleep on. I don't think we ever got to see Demon's true form in 02.
>>288572103 What's so surprising about it? We have literal confirmation that Bandai gave Toei a list of digimon they wanted featured, which they could pick and choose from.
Naturally, said list would include digimon from immediately after the Ghost Game cutoff.
>>288572266 Think it's just a matter of, a lot of the mons they wanted to animate happened to be Perfects, and this is the point in the show primarily focusing on Perfects.
We had MarineBullmon, Elizamon, and Pyramidimon's entire line prior, so it's not like this has been a brand new development.
>>288572390 >We had MarineBullmon, Elizamon, and Pyramidimon's entire line prior, so it's not like this has been a brand new development. That's pretty much what I'm saying. Those were at least spread out over a long period. Four in quick succession is notable.
>>288571794 I don't know. This still leaves a lot of open plot threads like what the hell Miharu's deal is. I fully suspect they'll be doing one of two things. >GIFT arc lasts to at least episode 40 or 41. >GIFT becomes an overarching villain group that keeps threatening both GD and the World Union until the finale.
I also expect them at some point to have GD end up like Klay and become fugitives of the law. I also feel that Rose losing to Reina feels a bit like a copout given her role as jobber. I'd prefer it if she and her lesbians were fucked over by Genjo as part of his long con like Klay was if they were to be defeated.
>>288571871 Still hate that when Ghost Game got 68 episodes amd felt more like filler than this. At least give this shit 52 episodes and better writers. Because if this is any indication, the new season of DBS is probably going to end up the same way.
>>288572598 I would honestly be surprised if GIFT lasts any longer than this cour. They can explain GIFT when she's violating Tomoro and raping his Sapotama to turn Gekkomon into Atratusmon.
I can definitely see the final arc being Glowing Dawn vs. World Union like you say. No doubt this would bring all the other Cleaners they've met into action. We know there's going to be the fujobowl when Tomoro and potentially new Earth Star Raito collide. Then there's the matter of Kaito+Honoka and whatever Genjo's motive is.
>>288571871 Is this because they said it ends as 52 or because the day the revamped dragon ball super airs is at the end of those 15 episodes? Has dragonball ever aired alongside a different toei show? Worst case, i can see them all going Mega at the same time, it’s the Savers writer after all
>>288574218 because the showrunner was upfront that beatbreak only exists because Toei wanted something to sit on the timeslot they wanted for DBS and the higher ups noticed the Digimon IP was sitting there with nothing currently planned for it
Damn it, Tomoro was so close to joining the chaos route. I can't believe Miharu went straight for Tomoro's weak spot with Asuka. No wonder he's so attached to her now. Hitomi and Raito who? Rose pointing at Miharu and telling Kyo she's been touching his family first was hilarious. >>288574559 He's a bleeding heart sap all things considered. >>288574795 Yeah, it's hard to tell if she's being allegorical or literal. I like how I'm even entertaining the idea that she's being literal though. The show's so much fun.
>>288575389 >>288575528 It looks like Berserker Lancelot from Fate, there's zero way this is the "proper" form It also literally has the colors of Dark E-Pulse
>>288575378 Call it a rip off but I'd love a Digi series that got surreal and meta like Gridman desu. Kind of why Hurricane Touchdown is one of my favorite pieces of Digi media still.
>>288575238 >Atratusmon vs Habakirimon happens >Their fight causes huge shockwaves >As Eclipse Hammer and Habakiri clash, the shockwave is so powerful that it cracks the "sky" >Everyone looks up, and behind the cracks in the sky, there's wireframe This will happen
>Tomoro protects the girl who sent jokerman to attack the hospital his brother was in because he can't stop thinking with his dick The series is so fucking bad
>Friends are about to get murdered Tomoro: *Only have enough E-Pulse for Adult form* >Some rando fluttered eyelashes Tomoro: *E-Pulse blinds the camera, evolves mon into Perfect immediately*
So what would have happened if Miharu was confronted by Japanese police instead of bounty hunters? Would they have gone straight into deadly force without giving her a chance to capitulate because she's extremist/terrorist? Would they have tried to murder Reina in cold blood, not because she's helping the criminal because of some misunderstanding, but because she's "useless"?
>>288571375 So that's what that hand is in the ending. I guess she became crazy after her death and now attempts digi-Armageddon to re-create the would in where she didn't die.
>>288576613 probably she has a very similar look in her eyes that Tomoro and the others had when controlled by Mummymon's bandages Mephismon is probably the one actually calling the shots. The last cour will probably be Golden Dawn caught in an all-out war between Gulfmon and Chairman Wang's latest contributions to ill-thought out anti-digimon weapons (made from real digimon)
...Wait. >It possesses the "Kouyouhoujou" staff which demonstrates terrifying destructive power in the super-heavyweight class, it spins it freely to raise a waterspout (Kouyouhoujou: Kamon no Jin) Kishiwada's Digimon may be Sagomon And if it is, then that means Genjo is 100% related to GIFT
>>288576738 >Wang has Sanzomon captured >The other Go-Westers have been conspiring to get her back at any cost this whole time >The final boss is a Shakamon here to teach humanity a lesson in humility
>first it was Makoto being twisted around Hotaruko's fingers >now it's Tomoro being twisted around Miharu's fingers Do these boys WANT to stick their dicks in crazy?
>Reina clearly annoyed at Pristimon after the Oblivimon fight >at the end of the episode she's still pissed Lilamon nearly killed her >next episode is titled Rampaging Instinct Dark Evolution time baby
>BOMBERMON!!! HOW DARE YOU HARM MY FRIENDS >WAIT... WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME >IS THIS WHAT TOMORO WAS TALKING ABOUT? >THE DEMON JOBBER BLOOD... >REINA-SAN STOP THIS! IF YOU KILL BOMBERMON YOU BECOME JUST LIKE IT >IT'S TOO LATE NOW MAKO-CHAN >EVOLUTION... DEATH....
>>288577949 >Accept no surrender for those who harbour terrorists >But also let them go if terrorist escapes Yeah, I dunno. >>288577972 Reina clearly annoyed at herself. She does not blame Pristimon.
I loved the music when Miharu revealed herself as the leader of GIFT. You could just tell that something ominous was going to occur.
Also really liked how Tomoro doesn't know who was telling the truth, but just went with his heart regardless. Not to mention that both Rose & Kanchi have told their respective "colleagues" that the other person is dangerous. Miharu not caring about the other side is the key bit IMO. She'll turn him to GIFT and then HELLO ATRATUSMON
>>288579420 >Kyo gives the kids a reward for taking out Oblivimon >still lives in a crack shack He's siphoning off the bounties into Nirinso, isn't he.
>>288579420 It makes zero sense that none of them work part-time jobs. Almost every other cleaner we've seen so far had some side gig that pays the bills, only Glowing Dawn spends the whole day fishing in the docks. Bunch of fucking borderline NEETs.
>>288579513 But Cleaning IS their job, they haven't got time for anything else. Don't forget they all have bounties as well, it's just no-one dares deal with them because they'd lose otherwise. Remember Kinoko Gang at the very start?
>>288579557 I'd honestly like to know more about Kyo's family. He's so relaxed overall it's weird.
Reina & Pristimon having no idea how much 100,000,000 is and needing to manually count the zeroes was hilarious. Doubly so when that wasn't even the reward for catching Oblivimon, that was the ransom offered. She's such a dumb greedy jobber.
>>288580061 Not to mention it plays into Pristimon's tea obsession. I think deep down Reina wants to be a dignified lady. This line from Rose would have hurt more than the knife wound.
I like how nobody is pointing out the very high likelihood that Amaterasumon is going to be Wolvermon's Mega. We're getting Sun and Moon kino for the endgame
>>288580439 Thanks. Looks like those bangs curling under the eyes are a family trait. I guess losing her sister is the reason she went full cult.
>>288580714 I want to say World Union rather than Genjo had involvement in her demise. It would explain why World Union and its associated companies are being attacked.
>>288580722 I'd be very surprised if that happens.
>>288580722 I highly doubt it. It would be weird to have a main character without a full new original line, the sun motif was associated with Asuka and Miharu's sister not Reina, Amaterasumon already has another line and in the tcg Prisitmon is black while Amaterasumon is yellow/red.
>>288583186 That Anon is quite clearly delusional. The cast have to all be at Perfect by the end of arc in 3 episodes. Reina is currently the odd one out. Given the setup this week of Rose calling her useless, it cannot be anything other than her genuine Perfect which will no doubt be obtained through Reina trying to kill herself to stop Bombmon exploding.
>>288583244 IIRC Takato got his dark evo and regular ultimate in the same episode. But I agree it's highely unlikely to happens here, particularly when beatbreak has used dark e-pulse instead of dark evolution previously.
Judging by next episode's title, I think Pristimon's perfect evolution will be on the bestial side. With Reina's rival being Rose and various other details like Pristimon's thing with tea, maybe Pristimon's perfect will be on the princessy/queenly side instead, but I think they'll save that for her final stage instead.
>>288577223 I actually wonder which direction her evo will go in because Wolvermon's specialties are speed and using heavy ordnance, both of which Scourgechiropmon now has access to.
>>288577606 3 episodes ago, when he got defensive when Hitomi talked about sapotamas glitching because of Algomon.
>>288579137 I liked how it was the first section of the Resonance track that has more distortion
>>288583186 Atratusmon has a pretty nondescript body, and presumably overrides a Digimon's natural form 4 Atratusmons
>>288585681 The referenc book: https://digimon.net/reference_en/ It doesn't include all digimon but most of them. New digimon get added to them quickly and old digimon occasionally are slowly being added too.
>>288585710 Digimon does not have a great host of fanartists coming up with their own prediction but I saw this one posted recently for Wolvermon. I really like it, if Geklonken and Chiropman hadn't both gone Machine already I'd have believed it. Alas, now I can only assume she's going waifumon soon.
Gekkomon during these serious moments is hilarious.
Anyways, Miharu finally revealing herself to Glowing Dawn and Tomoro, as well as Reina getting talked down on repeatedly through the episode for only having an Adult Digimon, things are moving. Now she has a reason to whoop Rose's ass with Pristimon's Perfect to rub it in, while on the other side, Atratusmon soon.
>>288587927 I feel like MonarchLizamon will evolve into Atratusmon but when everything is said and done, it'll burst out of that into it's actual, proper evolution. Otherwise, that is a very peculiar final stage given how it looks. It's antithetical to Tomoro and Gekkomon through everything that came before, especially with a group called Glowing Dawn.
>>288588015 Exactly, there's no way whatsoever it would be its genuine form. Miharu will cause Tomoro to do extreme freak shit to birth it. Even Atratus's cloak is reminiscent of Miharu's cloak.
>>288589429 Honestly, she did a good job herself this episode, recognizing one of the guys wouldn't actually attack the hostage, kicking the knife out of his hands and throwing him to the ground. Though, even before the mission, she was having doubts about facing a Perfect and the rest of the episode was rubbing it in her face.
>>288590512 tri. being a movie series does not discount it from being absolute shit. Zero Two, Xros (the entire thing) and Adventure: are also all worse. Also Appmon if you look as Digimon as a whole.
I do think Beatbreak's slipped standard-wise in this arc due to the overlapping storylines, but it has not slipped to the levels of those shows at the midway point.
>>288590731 Xros is tolerable until episode 30 at which point it plummets off a cliff and never recovers. Then it got the Hunters extension. Boy that was shit.
>>288578379 It always bothered me why digimon never attacked humans back in the day in the older shows. I mean I'm sure it happened occasionally but it was targeted at kids so I'm sure that had something to do with it. All of that non-sense has gone right out of the window with this series. Everyone is far game on the battlefield!
>>288589536 >MC protects international terrorist who has targeted his friends because "she's just like me fr fr". uhhh yeah, based department? you're gonna want to take a look at this
>>288590554 >>288590627 I'm surprised at all the Xros hate given that the original Xros Wars was decent until Death Generals resetting it and then Time Hunters stringing people along with nostalgia bait.
Colon was a pointless rehash of Adventure and Appmon had a generally mediocre reception. Hell, people shat on Ghost Game weekly and again after it was all said and done. I'm surprised anything is topping 02 in that regard though.
>>288592596 At least outside of Japan a lot of people hated the fact Digimon were combining like Super Robots for whatever reason. I don't understand it either since I love Super Robots.
>>288592596 >Appmon had a generally mediocre reception Appmon was upgraded to a better timeslot during its run due to its overwhelmingly positive reception and success. Bandai just fumbled the merchandising and the game.
