When are we going to get a story about Timeline 2 where the androids were dealt with and Trunks returned to his timeline 1 (where the Cell we primarily see came from), but then 20 years later Cell appears looking for androids? He wouldn't have access to a time machine since that Trunks never had a need to travel back in time and the timeline 1 Trunks took his back and no other Cell with a time machine showed up since there are no androids. Goku would have never been blown up by Cell.
Mr. Satan wouldn't have the same level of popularity since he was never shown to defeat Cell, he'd probably just be a smaller and slightly washed up sports celebrity instead of the hero of an entire planet with a city named after him. The Boo arc would still happen with Bobbidi and Kaioshin appearing, but Cell would be 13 years after that, 3 years after the end of the manga. Goku wouldn't have trained in the afterlife and probably wouldn't have access to Super Saiyan 3, or know Fusion to teach. Gohan would never have become Super Saiyan 2, and without having Gohan as a reference, Goku and Vegeta only MIGHT have unlocked it. Vegeta's might not have let himself crash out without Goku's one day time limit and the tournament setting (alternatively, he never would have been domesticated as much from his humiliation by Cell and Gohan and would be less prone to a midlife crisis over losing his identity), Goku might not have gone to Satan City high school or met Videl or been pressured into joining the tournament where Spopovich and Yamu entered. Kaioshin and Kibito would have still required Goku and friends, but whether or not Boo was ever released is unclear and determines the course of the future.
Assuming everyone survives, base Cell is stronger from their experience, but he's also incapable of ever becoming perfect.
Edit: I'm rereading DBZ and I don't get this fight at all. Why did Piccolo and Bejita have to fight, exactly? And why was it so fucking brutal compared to the rest of the fights? There was no reason for the attacks to be so gory, with Bejita's skull shattering to pieces or for Piccolo to pull out his own gored sinuses and putting his mulched eyeball back into place as long as it could stay in.There as no real reason for that sadistic groin injury scene either. Toriyama brought his A game here yeah, but it didn't really resolve anything or matter in any way. I'm just gonna say: GT's ending, the one everyone always waxes poetic about as being some incredible, transcendental experience, was fucking dogshit. Its entire existence is predicated on a convoluted plot point that came out of fucking nowhere regarding the Dragon Balls somehow accumulating "negative energy" despite that never once being mentioned by Kami, Piccolo, Dende, or Guru. All of these characters have been around when the Dragon Balls are being "abused" by the Dragon Team and nobody ever brought it up? None of the Kaioshin knew about it, for that matter? It's a fucking stupid contrivance that shits all over the Dragon Balls, i.e. the objects that are the main focal point of the entire fucking series and have been so since the very first chapter. It basically retreads the ending of the original manga by having Goku leave again, but for an even more retarded reason, and it doesn't even have the balls to follow through with the torch-passing theme, because in the 100 year timeskip to A Hero's Legacy we're still fucking following Goku's lineage, i.e. a literal clone of Goku from OG.
It's a saccharine piece of shit ending that banks on its idiot audience being easy to emotionally manipulate by preying on their nostalgia and attachment to the characters instead of ending in a an actually satisfying and coherent way. It's as disjointed and ridiculous as the rest of this dogshit fucking Toei fanfiction and I always laugh whenever someone starts babbling about how great it is, because it's an amazing filter for finding out which "people" can actually think critically and which are massive fucking idiots enslaved to their own emotions.
