the overall look of them. the way the lighting looks, the way the images have this slight haze, how some of the lines are smeary. The shower one is more readily identifiable as AI, but both set off the alarms in my head

I don't know, I think this moment of taking step back and consideration after the surprise is important for the joke. I know usually Jucika comics are three panels long, but I would rather sacrifice the rule for the sake of making the comic hit harder. At least in my opinion.
