How do I combat feelings of despair, desperation, and demoralization in a time like this?
Our culture is very hostile against us
Goyim cattle have gone completely insane
Dating has become a humiliation ritual
Video games fucking suck
My boomer parents pretend that there is nothing wrong with our society
I genuinely cannot make any type of new friends at school
Our food is poison
Everything's getting more and more expensive
Everything's getting less and less sacred
At least I got a job and a car

How the fuck do you find fulfillment and happiness in a society like this? How do you not be depressed when going to school, or work? It's all soulless. Everything is soulless. This shit sucks, I hate it so much. What is a young person like me supposed to do? Just accept things like how they are? Work like cattle for people who hate you and want to replace you? Just for the slim chance of maybe finding a wife that is decent? That won't end up in divorce? Maybe?

How do you not become a doomer? Seriously, how. I wanna know. Because day after day, all my optimism for my own future is just slowly withering. And it sucks. I try to combat it, but to no avail. Everything just sucks man.

Being a doomer, self pity, despair, anger IS the poison. If you stopped being a doomer you’d be disgusted with yourself for letting those emotions get to you life is fucking awesome

How do I stop being a doomer? How do I regain optimism?

Logically everything I’ve said is correct so if you contemplate why being a doomer is bad enough you will come to the conclusion that it is you have no choice but to believe it. World champions who seem delusionally optimistic to normal people but produce results have a more rational mindset than normies. Hopefully that’s not too woo woo.

By learning how to love the process of becoming a better man. The world is filled with evil, but that also means it's filled with opportunities to exercise virtue. When you truly love goodness for goodness's sake, it's impossible to be unhappy with your lot in life.

I like the way you think. I know being a doomer is not helping me whatsoever. But it's just really hard for me to stay consistently optimistic.
Sometimes, my mind will become clearer, but I always fall back into doomerism. It's just really hard.

I like the Orthodox Church, even more than the Catholic Church. But the thing is that there are no Orthodox Church near where I live. The only one is a Coptic Orthodox Church that is 30km away. If there was one Orthodox church near me, I'll join it.
I guess I'll just stick to the Catholic Church.

I go to a russian orthodox mission 65km away. Sometimes I go to a bigger church 100km away, or the cathedral to venerate their relics 100km another direction. I say you should go to Catholic mass then attend Divine liturgy or a vespers service every few weeks. Orthodoxy respects the Coptics too, look up the 21 Coptic Martyrs of Libya.

Sometimes, I attend Catholic mass. It helps me a lot. I also try to pray sometimes. But the thing is, I don't know how to pray. I lived in a very secular household. One thing I notice is that every time I try to pray, my mind instantly becomes clearer. I don't know how to describe it.

That's a very real thing and I too have struggle with the same thing. But prayer comes from faith, and faith comes from believing, to pray you have to believe. Keep praying, for mercy, for guidance, for strength. Good on you for trying and it's great that you know that prayer is essential finding faith.

Are there any specific words I need to recite when praying? Or do I need to sort of improvise?
Do I also need to do prostrations? Or is just reciting enough for a prayer?

Tomorrow is Sunday so I highly recommend you to go and attend Divine liturgy with the coptics and ask to speak to the Priest after. He will be a lot more helpful than an anon on /adv/. If you can't make the journey, you can still gain valuable information from talking to the priest after Catholic mass.
In orthodox, you follow a prayer rule for morning and evening prayer, and they are a structured set of psalms, prayers intercessions and personal dialogue with God. But to pray meaningfully you don't need to know everything. Invaluable, the Jesus prayer alone is powerful in opening your soul to heaven.
"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner"

Yeah. Even if Orthodox Christianity is just a cope, what is the better alternative?
