Me and my bf met each other a few months following college graduation and have been together for seven months now. We've lived around 20-30 minutes away from each other the whole time. I don't have any friends and I feel like I need a change in my life/I want to experience new things so I've been thinking about moving an hour away to NYC for a year or so, since there are more young people there and I'm hoping that I could get more opportunities in order to move towards a career in art. The main problems with this are that I currently have an apartment with a lease and that my boyfriend does not want to go with me because he doesn't like NYC. My parents have already expressed disapproval and when I told my bf about my idea he just said "yeah that might work for me... I guess I could visit you on the weekends". Is this a good or a bad idea and if it's a good idea how should I go about it with my lease and everything?

Seems like a retarded idea to be honest. You’re just moving for a lifestyle that will get old after sometime and will definitely not be sustainable. No idea as to what kind of guy your bf is or if he’s worth sticking it with but your reasons for moving are naive.
