Do you actually have any meaningful conversation on messaging apps? I only manage to get texts from people that need something from me. As soon as there is no need for anon, radio silence falls. Is this just the way it is? I always try to continue conversations, but it falls on deaf ears. If i ask three followup questions, two get ignored and one gets a one liner. The other day i sent a (alledegly) friend "Hey bro i passed that impossible exam!" and his answer was a sticker of a thumb up. Like, what the hell am i supposed to do. I want to get in touch more with people, but i do not want to insist. If all i can get is an emoji or an "ok" the message is clear. So either i force myself and get ignored, or do not reach out and get ignored until someone needs me. It is frustrating. Any advice?

Not really and it gets quite frustrating indeed. I usually only download Discord intermittently when I get especially lonely and it's usually just me being people-pleasing and attention seeking by making jokes and overthinking everything I type.
You'd probably get more meaningful interactions if you vc'd and/or played vidya with people but, as for me, I'm too much of a pussy most of the time to do any of that.
