>>5118859 It surprised me that there are also quite a few young men among those killed by black bears. I'm not a burger, are black bears that dangerous?
>>5118870 Black Bears are dangerous and should be treated with caution and respect. Unlike Grizzlies, Black Bears are known for stalking and being highly opportunistic. In one case back in the 1970s in Canada, a Black Bear stalked and killed three teenage boys one after the other. Just because they’re smaller (and the ones in North America won’t be much smaller than the European Brown Bear mentioned in OP) means nothing.
>>5118870 >It surprised me that there are also quite a few young men among those killed by black bears. I'm not a burger, are black bears that dangerous? There are like 600,000 black bears in the lower 48 and southern Canada and most of the time they act like giant raccoons so it's easy to get comfortable around them. Someone runs across bears half a dozen times in their life and every time shouting scares them away so they don't carry a gun or even bear spray and if it's their bad luck to come across that one bear who decides that actually they WOULD like to see what a person tastes like, they get killed and eaten. If you look at the list, there are a lot of senior citizens and children on there as well as people feeding bears, self-proclaimed "bear experts" and other foolishness like that as well as a lot of attacks happening in the middle of nowhere to people by themselves.
>>5123627 >a woman who claims to have been unjustifiably attacked by a bear is more likely to be believed Was this written by vegans? There is nothing wrong with killing for food.
>>5118870 Black bears are very skittish and non-aggressive. However, they are also by far the most common bear people encounter in North America, so even if you have a 0.0001% chance of being attacked, the volume of encounters means some people get killed. Also a lot of black bear live near people so have gotten used to people and lost their fear. Some people even feed the bears which is just asking for trouble.
>>5123627 If you look at the statistics, bears are far less likely to do anything to you though. Now tell me with a straight face that a random man won't do anything to a woman if they're both in the middle of nowhere with nobody around them for tens of miles. I just wouldn't believe you.
>>5132589 Misandry like this was purposefully beaten into you by who owns the media. It’s not a realistic viewpoint. EVERY movie is “man bad especially white man, girl hero”.
Man or bear is a litmus test for if the propaganda worked. No trust no cohesion no rebellion. Cue higher rent.
