I started smoking about a year ago and a few months back I started having shortness of breath in the morning, now it suddenly went away, could this be a sign of something?

I am 51 years old and have smoked since I was 16. I doubt one year of cigarettes caused permanent damage but try to quit before your risk increases. I see my hypocrisy but smoking is bullshit.

It seems like some batches of cigarettes cause this. I'll have it for a day during one pack and when I open the next, it might go away shortly after starting to smoke those. I hypothesize that it might be the stem to leaf ratio, like more stems causes more pulmonary irritation.
