I used to like Scatman John sort of ironically. Like "this is so silly and absurd and ridiculous! Ill pretend it's really good" and as I actually dove into his catalogue and story and his message I realized the Scatman might be one of the most based individuals to ever live. The dude is a pure inspiration. He seems silly, like a court jester almost, but maybe that's the whole point after all. If we can't love and laugh and experience joy then who even cares about the rest? This dude had a severe stutter and found solace in the music and then shared his message with the world, all at an old age.
