I've had it work but mine is elaborate, I'll offer cashapp payments and then show them me sending the cash by holding my phone up to the screen. I'll quickly switch screens to a fake payment successful screen while the actual payment I sent fails. But I've already told them basically "I don't wanna be scammed so the second I send the cash I need you to flash." so they usually do it instantly without checking to see if they actually got the payment.
