>checks bank app before getting out of bed
Literally me. I have until the fourth quarter of this year before I run out of money and zero desire to do the humiliation ritual for the jobs that don't exist.
The bullet should've hit.

I wish there was some sort of way I could save the money I earn without investing it or incurring loses due to inflation. Investing is fun but I think having it be a requirement for everyone to participate in society without automatically getting poorer isnt good.
Like imagine some sort of storage secured by the government that stored your money without converting it into shares and even gave you additional money based on the level of iinflation. A silly and unrealistic prospect I know, but a fella can dream.

>motherfucking 4.7k a MONTH in a mortgage
>two cars (highly likely in debt in both)
>even further money spent on frivolous vacations
And this is someone that is considered smart and prestige enough to earn 260k a fucking year?

America is a gambler's paradise. He did it right. He might have won. He still might win.
You wanna count your pennies and live a frugal life then move to the 3rd world or Eastern Europe (even here people are embracing American lifestyle).

>He did it right
No, he didn’t. None of that shit improves your quality of life in any meaningful way.
>Giant, fugly McMansion
>Full of empty rooms you don’t use
>Dust everywhere
>Gotta pay to clean it
>Drive fugly BMW SUV whales
>Paycheck-to-paycheck despite making fucking $300k
Met so many retards like this. You know what makes you happier? Exercise, camping, quality time with your spouse, etc.
Consumer goys are so fucking stupid. Get nice shit. Don’t buy ridiculous shit.

Still stuck making 16/hr in a work from home customer service job I hate while living with my mom who lives herself in the middle of nowhere.
I almost got a hotel security job(they interviewed me and the boss guy seemed to like me because I have Corrections experience) but I dont think they hired me because I currently live so far away.
God im so desparate to just raise my income. The fact that its remote means nothing to me anymore. Seriously the pay is so shit I get fucked over trying to rent any place because they want 3x the rent in my monthly income(I barely make 2k and with places being 1k minimum its a big failure) and my mom refuses to sign off on anything just so I can at least have a place in advance closer to the better jobs.
>>
>>62114319
He felt he had job security and is pulling in a metric ton of cash. What do you think he was gonna do? Stay in his room and leave it accumulate? Or move onto the next stage of his life and invest in giving his family the best life they could have?
>>
>>62114683
>they want 3x the rent in my monthly income
I don't know how apartment complexes are making any money with these practices. Even normalfags don't meet their insane requirements anymore either how much the cost of rents have risen. Roommates aren't tenable for a lot of people.

I bonds.
you’ll always beat the (((official))) inflation numbers but you won’t beat the market. Alternatively put your money in a CD/HYSA and look around for the best deal every time your current promotion ends.

>spends 5500 month
normies cannot do numbers or money its completely impossible for them. just totally lying or ignorant. minimal abstract thought ability.
>>

Literally just short term treasuries/SGOV or if you're lazy and want the bank to take some if that and do it for you a high yield savings account.
>>62114319
This is what my gut reaction was, but the other anon is right. If you're making lots of money it's fine to spend lots of money. I consider the person (probably made up) to be retarded by hemorrhaging cash on stupid shit but if you have the money might as well spend it.
Biggest issue is getting married. Apparently the wife just doesn't work? Equal fights bitch go get a job. Half the reason his mo they expenses are so high is a second car (for the wife) and a large house (to put the wife in) and food and vacations (for the wife). He fucking played himself. Gaurantee she divorces him and takes the kid and the house because he can't provide for her anymore lmao.
>>
>>62113939
I lost a SWE job earlier this year. Had another one for higher pay within 3 weeks. Job market is fine for anyone more senior with real skills. Maybe webshitters and IT are fucked but they're retards anyways.
>>
and then there is me
bulgarian
1500 euros per month
house fully paid
more than 10 years of savings
kek
mutts are rich but only in their dreams
oh and his "house" is made of OSB and 2x4 so its technically a birdhouse for us EuroBVLLs
>>
>>62113944
The vast majority of rich technigs are regular people that struck gold during covid. They are as good at investing as the average person.
Also, most of them buy into retarded lifestyle creep like getting an overpriced house on an overpriced area where the only options for daycare cost like 10k a month because they know someone that did the same.
If you are on Blind, you'll see tons of personal finance post by niggas at places like Google that are living paycheck to paycheck on 200-300k and it is almost always the same combination of housewife+daycares+house costs.
>>
>>62115539
I don't get how tech bros are so bad with money and financial decisions. I imagine Gen Z is the worst with this because of social media. But if you're ~30 years old, you don't need a mega mansion. You need a townhouse and two reliable cars with low-ish car payments. That's it. Most of your money should be going towards student loans if you have them, which most do.
>>
>>62115539
>>62115591
Trying to live a middle class lifestyle from the 1990s but in the 2020s will bankrupt even a $300k/yr techbro.
>>
>>
>>62115591
Techbros spend a majority of their time consuming streamer or social media content, being influenced by their gimmick filled lifestyles where guys are getting girls $10000 purses and driving moronically expensive cars that are often just rented out to them. Often as well they get a girl that likes them for the money not who he is so he never reels himself in on his personal time and eventually just goes "the more I spend the better life is!"
>>62114816
Honestly speaking that much was totally doable on my previous jobs my current one is just raw dogshit paywise. I just rolled with it because my unemployment from my previous 20/hr WFH job was about to dry up and it was the first remote job that actually responded to my app.
Taking it was the worst fucking decision of my life. Should have moved out when I still had the previous jobs income going. Im an unskilled worker mind you I have nothing documentationwise practically but a GED and a paper saying I graduated a Corrections academy but boy ive gotten by better in the past financewise than this. Think ill look up some Janitor shit too but damn its like the only places sometimes that feel like are actually hiring are the ones where your resume doesnt matter, they need just need ANYONE AT ALL.

THIS. This really shows just how big the wealth gap is. 300k only affords a middle class life.

Google up "Conduent Remote Healthcare Customer Service Represenative job". I doubt youll have issue getting it, its the job I currently have.
Be warned though you probably wont be spending a "few moments between shitposting" often. The call volume majorly outpaces the staff and turnover is high because the volume absolutely doesnt match the wages. Take it VERY seriously when I say that because its not my only call center job, shit gets bananas and sometimes I wish I was back just having a register at fuckin Safeway. They will ocasionally force over time and slice you down to like 32 hours a week as well despite how little you already make and that fucks up any overtime you may want or need.

That's fine. Don't start crying to others when you're down to your last 1k in your bank account. That's your problem, deal with the consequences. No one owes you anything, remember that before you get high on your money horse. Goes for all tech leeches.

I still have a few months runway left and then I'll get a cozy part-time job in a kitchen somewhere, which are always hiring because the industry has a relatively high turnover rate overall
if that doesn't work out I have a few less cozy but still pretty cozy fallback plans
>>
>>62116179
You can live a middle class lifestyle, when you're 40, have a safe career, and your student debt is paid off. You don't need $300k per year for a middle class life unless if you live in like downtown Manhattan or something? Who tf needs $300k per year for middle class? I can see a nice middle class couple making around $200k combined in the middle of your careers.

>>free college
Outside of having to pay higher taxes to finance the trillions that would cost, it would lead to higher enrollment rates at colleges in the US as well, which would make the degrees in question about as worthwhile as a high school degree is now. Bachelor degrees used to almost give you a free job, now it's the bare minimum for many positions.

You don't seem to realise how worth it, it is to get away from turd worlders and niggers. I have friends in a gated suburb near me, i live in the hood in australia. Their areas amazing, its the only place i've seen in the last decade, where kids regularly play out in the street, and they're 90% white too.

I think lot of high earning tech employees are actually just egotistical midwits who got lucky with their career choices and didn't have the foresight to realize the same reasons other engineering fields pay so badly in comparison was going to catch up to theirs now they bitch and moan about indians and automation replacing them. like no shit bro your last 3 employers never turned a profit

>Carlos R., 44, earned his MBA and spent over a decade in IT consulting, bouncing between Fortune 500 contracts and clearing well into six figures at his peak. He had the full setup. Condo, leased BMW, side bets in crypto, and a five-year plan mapped out in spreadsheets.
>Then came what he calls “the compression.” Projects dried up, contracts shortened, and eventually his role was “restructured” out. He figured it was a temporary reset. It wasn’t.
>“I thought the degree was insulation,” he says. “Turns out it was just overhead.”
>After a year of chasing roles that either vanished mid-process or paid half his previous salary, the math stopped working. Savings ran out. The condo went. The car followed. What remained fit into a few bags and eventually into a plywood shelter near an overpass.
>Now he runs a small, unofficial taco setup a few blocks away. No permits, cash only. He preps in the morning, sells through lunch, and shuts down before enforcement swings by.
>“It’s still operations,” he says. “Sourcing, pricing, throughput. Just…different margins.”
>He tracks everything in a notebook he keeps tucked under a plastic sheet. Old habits.
>When asked if he plans to go back to IT, he shrugs.
>“It's so cold outside.”

You only deserve the latter if you have 10 million in liquid cash. If you have less than that you gotta do hobomaxxing, live like you have only have 10$ in your bank account, till you achieve the 10 million.

mate you are on 4chan where most of us frequently try to not go outside. How is any of what you are saying at all supposed to register as a noteworthy positive to any of us? At least from my perspective that all sounds absolutely god damn pig shittingly worthless.
Maybe if you have a nice car and have to park it outside sure but you just need a garage end of the day there not some window of ignorance.

man, your childhood must have been awful for that post to exist. Im sorry your parents don't love you, and you're soo mind-fucked by jews, you can't even COMPREHEND what benefits there are, living in a homogenous society of white people.
>>
>>
>>62118103
Back in the day you could live at a place like that essentially for free by just being born a ruralfag like me, but the jews made sure to kew away all the rural jobs that aren't related to selling meth, so I was forced to move to big cities where people live like bugs.
The industrial revolution in the hands of the jews has had catastrophic consequences for the human experience and soul.

The problem with job loss is that no matter what your finances are like, the mind forms a baseline of normality, and any significant shift can cause severe mental anxiety. I started tracking this year, via a method recommended here, and I save about 60% of my take home + tax advantaged deposits, but if I lost my job tomorrow, I'd still be freaking out, even though my cash runway is a few years, and if I sold stocks, significantly longer.

Put literally all of it in dividend paying stocks and ETFs. Borrow margin to live. Let dividends pay margin interest, then let them snowball into paying your monthly spend, then pay down the margin loan, then you're free
