He asked me how to get into it so I taught him how to set up an account on an exchange. I stressed to a high degree how careful you have to be with any exchanges other than the onramp I suggested to him and that scammers are abound. A year later he comes to me to try and help get access to his funds (over 300k) that an exchange (some .vip domain that took the name of a legitimate site) was holding hostage from him.
I politely told him he was fucked and kinda felt bad but this site threw so many red flags when I went to it.
