It depends on what stage of the interview. On the HR screen you get first, you should follow whatever dumb interview advice you get online. When you meet with the actual team you will be working for, cut the bullshit and talk directly about what you have/can do. Don't bother with thank you emails, the hiring process is taking time away from their real jobs already.

1) they are all STAR format so prepare for that
2) have 10 stories you can fit into the 5 questions. memorize them.
3) prepare even more. use friends, family, a fucking webcam if you have to
