Promotions are a humiliation ritual. I didn't used to care about promotions because I could just promote myself by finding a new job with a better title but in this market with AI and all this economic uncertainty, getting a new job is harder than ever.
LINK is my last hope bros. I feel like dying every day and that's coming from someone who is relatively financially secure.

Funny enough, my supervisor keeps joking with me about middle management. This has scared me so much that I've been showing up late and doing a shitty job to remind them not to. Once you shackle yourself to that position, 20 years of your life zip by as you accept the relaxing nature of a complacent life.
